An excellent location, we wish we could have stayed longer, but we only needed a stopover. The hotel is located in a nice building, the room was spatious and clean, the bed comfy. We did not try the restaurant, but it seemed quite nice. The staff was extra friendly and helpful, very responsive prior to our arrival. We did not know our exact arrival times, since we were driving there, while sightseeing, and they arranged everyting in such a way, that we had no worries about our check-in.

We wish we could have stayed longer to take a full advantage of the wonderful location of the hotel. We only could affort a short momentu walk.

The room was beautiful and clean, great view of the ocean (after you look past the car park). The location is amazing, close to everything and easy to just get on to beautiful walking tracks right out the door of the hotel. The adjoining pub is very convenient and the food was nice, great drinks from the brewery, and reasonably priced

There was no balcony furniture which was a bit sad as to sit and enjoy the view we had to sit on the bed or move chairs around the room. Also we have an ev and the charger wasn't working. Pillows terrible (suggest BYO) and bed a bit firm for my preference.

We had wonderful views from our hotel windows and a spacious comfortable room. The design and construction of the new building additions are very attractive and functional. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant provided food of a very high quality. Location near the water afforded well maintained walking tracks to look outs, historical wharf and beach. Small number of rooms gave an intimacy to our stay reminiscent of old fashioned hotel holiday.

No little extras provided such as a microwave, cold water bottle or shower cap!

Great location. Fabulous views from balcony. Recently renovated. Spacious rooms. Sliding door to balcony had fly screen. Free parking. Guest entrance to hotel/pub. Fantastic bistro with dinner, breakfast and coffee. Also a micro brewery! Tea and coffee facilities and a bar fridge in room.

No bath mat or hand towels in room. Shower was great but no soap dispenser in the shower- only one near the hand basin. There was only shampoo in the shower (no conditioner either). No bedside table or lamp for soft lighting. No mirror in room- only in bathroom which makes doing make up or hair difficult if someone is using he bathroom. No full length mirror. A couple of small additions to the rooms would make them perfect!

The property and the view were excellent. Comfortable bed too. We had the pleasure of dinner in the restaurant and some great drinks at the bar. What a spot!

Really didn’t like the heavy construction noise first thing in the morning. We should have been told that there was an excavator jackhammering the concrete and if we were told, we wouldn’t have booked. We were going to add two extra nights to our stay up until that happened in the morning because everything else was faultless.

The location is amazing, the bedroom was huge, bathroom large, nice balcony, bed was a large KING size. We also had dinner here as the meals are amazing. They offered to deliver desserts to our room - we took up this offer.

Something happened with the hot water system so we had a Luke warm shower Saturday night and didn’t shower Sunday morning as the water was cold. I wish they offered some recompense for this as it’s not an inexpensive place to stay.

Excellent service from all staff members. The room and facilities were modern, clean and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable! The restaurant staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. They served a good variety of meal options, our dinners were presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. We were even lucky enough to view the sun rise over the ocean from our room. 10 out of 10, thank you!

Hard to pick any negatives, some USB ports in the power points would have been a handy extra, but only because I forgot my charger!

The owners, the staff, the room and last but certainly not least, THE VIEWS.

Perhaps they could add a small set of drawers into the cupboard. Taking the chairs down at 7.30am each morning possibly could be done a tiny bit quieter, but apart from that the heritage rooms are very quiet and well sound proofed. These two minor things will NOT stop us from staying there again.

The location is something to rave about, it truly is spectacular. We had an oceanfront room, and we could sit for hours just admiring the views. The staff were fantastic. Jocelyn at the reception is such a lovely, friendly and very helpful person. Lalu was very professional and also warm and friendly. The hotel staff in the bar and restaurant were very friendly and they all had great customer service.

Nothing really.

The location on the clifftop is great. The rebuilt hotel and the new rooms are very pleasant, contemporary and welcoming. The room that we stayed in, "Albatross", is large, with a balcony facing the ocean and good facilities, including a modern bathroom with large shower. The views over the ocean are beautiful. The Humpback Brewery located within the hotel, offers a great selection of fine craft beers. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Dinner at the hotel was average - the fish was fresh, but the meal as a whole was a bit ordinary. While the new rooms are very nice, the price for the room is not cheap considering that this is essentially a pub with accommodation. It is not like a larger hotel that comes with guest amenities, manned reception, etc.
