The location is perfect with lawns leading down to Short Point beach and reserve. At dusk the Kangaroos can be found grazing especially towards the undergrowth near the children’s play park. We think it’s a great base for visiting Eden as well as exploring Merimbula and Panboola. We enjoyed local seafood and oysters. We weren’t able to use the laundry since it requires coins. We didn’t use the pool. The communal BBQ area was useful. The cabins were comfortable; the shower was hot and powerful. The pre arrival messaging regarding key access and check in was efficient. The outside clothes dryer is helpful.

Even better if: In other cabins we have had an electric frying pan which is helpful. We cook a lot ourselves so this is a personal preference. We have had more generous rations of shampoo in other venues and conditioner wasn’t provided. Provisions were less than comparable cabins on this coastline in a similar price point. The location makes up for these factors. We visited the reception several times during the hours of opening and never saw staff on duty. There is a telephone to call for enquiries. In other properties contactless payment, tokens, payment charged to the cabin or complimentary laundry made this service more accessible. We would have used this facility if the set up was easier

The location was incredible, we got the beach front cabin and sat outside the whole time we were at the accommodation, such a beautiful place to read a book, have a coffee or just watch the world pass by. Plenty to see, dogs, birds, kangaroos, surfers, people just enjoying their day. We also highly recommend Scotty at fishpen charters if you plan on going on a charter!

Truthfully nothing, being 6 months pregnant i was comfortable, had everything we needed for our week stay, everything was clean and easy to clean if we did need to

The location was great, rooms are unique, access to short point beach as well as town (but far enough away to avoid the busy of being right in town) was handy, facilities are very good and hosts were great.

Our cabin needed a little TLC, originally thought the toilet was leaking water onto the floor after flushing however later thought it might be because the shower is missing a seal at the bottom near the toilet side. Neither here nor there though, didn’t affect our stay. The only gripe i had was not knowing some of the cabins were ‘split in half’ until we arrived (A/B style) and can be accessed internally by just a regular door so neighboring noise was more obvious than if each cabin was ‘stand-alone’ to yourself. I would still book again in future though, was just something i’d prefer to have known ‘in the description’ when booking instead of it being ‘a surprise’ upon arrival.

The whole place was lovely. from the pre arrival communication, day of arrival communication and walking into the cabin. The room was beautifully presented with clean appliances and facilities and a well set out room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a 1 night stay or a week long stay from full sized small fridge/freezer, double cook top, plates, utensils, pots and pans and washing up items. I stayed 3 nights and cooked as well as dined out. The bathroom is well designed for the space with a large shower and vanity. Shower preasure is fantastic and all towels and supplies are provided. the room itself had a large bed with 2 pillows and extra pillows and blanket in the room if needed. The bed was a little harder then my preference but still comfortable. Aircon/heater worked a treat, my room had an interconnecting door which did not bother me and I could only hear distant noises of the person next to me snoring, but that is life in these sort of set ups. Parking onsote was easy to work out and although looks hectic at first is well planned and designed. I did not use the facilities like the pool, BBQ or common room but did wander past. All were in good condition and being utilised almost constantly by the other park goers. All up a fantastic accommodation close to Merimbulla and a short stroll to Shorts Point which is breath taking. for a solo female traveller I did not feel uncomfortable once and felt very secure within the accommodation amd around the park. a lovely place to stay.

I really enjoyed the location which was super convenient and very beautiful. Great for walking on the beach, super to access the town. Loved the proximity to Merimbula town centre and the oyster farms, great boardwalk to photograph the sunset. Love how friendly people are in town but funny how many left Sydney years ago and would never go back. Lots of Eastern suburbs from Syd it seems. Owners are super friendly, I took some beautiful photos and ate my weight in oysters. Would definitely come back.

Bedside light was flickering constantly and the tops of the doorframes, pictures on the walls need a dust.

We absolutely loved the location and the quieter and smaller feel of the resort. The communication prior to check in was helpful and appreciated.. the resort is clean and well maintained. The staff we did encounter were all so lovely and friendly… we will be back!

Our only small thing was the shape of the bathroom in our unit. Opening and entering our bathroom was a little tight / tricky but a very minor inconvenience that won’t stop us from coming back.

We had a nice stay for our family time. The cabins are a cool design. We could see the ocean from our room. Air con was cooling for summer. We saw so many animals in our stay - kangaroos, octopus, bull rays, seals, rabbits. Lots of great fishing places too. So many beaches lots of paddle boarding. My kids loved the Badminton on a rainy day. Lots of restaurants and happy hour easily accessible by car. Great coffee cart in beach car park.

Amazing view of the ocean which could be seen from our front door, the air conditioner was clean and worked well, good sized living room and kitchen with enough space for a lot of people.

The bedroom blinds weren’t good and let a lot of light in, which became a problem as the footpath lights stay on all night and light up the room even with the blinds closed. There also wasn’t enough pillows with only one pillow per single bed and two per double bed. Our hot water also stopped working halfway through my friends shower, and didn’t heat up again for another few hours.

The room was very comfy and had all the required amenities and more. Very close to the beach and even though it was raining, it was a great place to walk around and go over to the beach and come back comfortably.

There was nothing that we had a complaint about. All was very well arranged and the hosts were really great in keeping the place clean. The area inside the Beach Huts, along with the BBQ and swimming areas exceeded expectations.
