3 minute walk over to the main beach and 5 minute stroll around to Cranky Cafe for amazing breakfasts with the best fish & chips and hamburgers next to it for dinner. The bed was very comfortable too. Great walks to everything. Great for camera enthusiasts especially sunrise on the beach.

Unfortunately the room had no ventilation especially the bathroom ( motel room 27) so had to keep door open for shower. Kept screen door locked, glass door open at night as it got too warm, didn't access AC as it was noisy. Fridge froze food on top shelf, even on lowest temp. Kettle was very brown inside, boiled water was brown so I deep cleaned it and it was ok then, tasted like noodle or pasta water beforehand. Younger guests nearby loud at night. Close to airport so planes are low and often in the day. Not enough power points, cooked toast in bathroom. TV remote worked on and off, mute button broken. Room out dated. But over all OK.

Location was amazing, and distance to beach and town was excellent. Many paths to the beach and also in summer the facilities would be great with kids/families. Cabin kitchen was good, and it was a good base to venture from. For a summer experience, it seems great, colder months - research which cabin is best.

The curtains were quite flimsy and prone to gaping which was not great, so had to adjust a bit sometimes, especially as the wind kicked up and some small drafts came thru. Bed was a bit on small side and compared to last time I stayed here, things did seem more tiny, from bathroom to bed itself. Bed did not seem massively comfortable and even with heater on the doona/quilt/duvet was quite thin so we were still quite cold. We did go in early Autumn, there was a terrific storm and wind that night too - there seemed little insulation on the cabin. If we stayed again, I would reconsider this type of cabin perhaps.

Stayed in islander cabin #2. They gave us gingerbread cookies in the spirit of Christmas which was a lovely touch. Modern electric cooker, brand new microwave. Colander was provided which was so useful to wash veg/fruits. Modern TV. Aircon worked. Toiletries were nice (all without the nasty stuff like paraben etc). Communication from staff using text messages was great! And they let us check out later which was appreciated. Easy, walking distance to the beach.

Mattress was rather too soft for my liking. Bathroom door and shower door hit each other so we had to open one in order to shut the other.

The park is with excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the gorgeous and massive Merimbula beach. There is also awesome "fitness trail" that starts right next at the Merimbula beach entrance. I did not visit with little children but this place is amazing for such families, it has everything you need. The park is also very closely located (only 12 mins walk) from the pier from which the whale watching tours depart. The sandbanks are also awesome as a beach location and this too is easily accessible in a walkign distance

The cabin needed a lot of ventilation before the air felt fresh. The shower door was clashing in a weird way with the bathroom door making it very awkward to use. I would have liked it if the cabin had spare/additional blankets, it actually got quite cold in the night, the weather was a bit stormy in the evening, but I did not really want to start the air con in late November. I also would have liked better blinders on the main door as they were not large enough to cover the door fully, not very pleasant when this was right opposite the waste area where someone goes pretty much every 30 mins

Loved our room and the motel block we were in. So grateful we got the room we did. What a wonderful motel. Comfy bed, excellent water pressure, very clean, balcony overlooking water and the oyster farms and within easy walking distance from the most spectacular beach. I'm sure in peak season, when the place is full, it would have a hectic vibe, but we were there off peak and had peace and quiet with few neighbours. Perfect! There's a refurb going on in one of the motel blocks which indicates this place is going to get even better. I don't know why anyone would stay in motels up on the hill when they can stay here on the water. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The only thing we didn't like was that the drains stunk.

Location good - within walking distance to the beach which is quite lovely. Beds are comfortable. Check in process smooth without issue after arriving afterhours.

Pools are said to be heated but it appears only one is with the other pool including the small toddler pool area, kept freezing cold hence we never saw anyone in it. The water play park also has cold water so also rarely saw anyone there despite us being there over summer (around NYE). Internet signal in our cabin was so slow to the point of being non-existent including when using our data. Never could connect to the wifi. Felt a bit overpriced for the experience of staying as we had hoped to spend a lot of time in the water areas. We only stayed 2 nights but there were no activities for the kids during this time unfortunately.

How clean the cabin was. Lovely finishing touches like the chocolates, the dog bowl (even though we didn't bring our dog - it showed we could if we needed to) & the foot washing tub (even though we didn't need it this visit).

The remote control didn't work - but this is me totally being trying to find something wrong when there really was nothing to whinge about. It surprised us that there was no door to the main bedroom in our little cabin.

Location was perfect. Right near the beach and the pool area & splash park were great for a 3 year old. The staff went above and beyond, having Santa and the Grinch to make an appearance on Christmas Eve was the icing on the cake.

The Queen bed slouched significantly where you would normally lie. I had to sleep in the middle of the bed as it was firm and my wife had to sleep on the single bed with our 3 year old as she couldn’t sleep otherwise.

Loved the facilities and the proximity to the beach. Great for kids. Pools are just fab. Cabin was clean but really is for x2 people not 4!

Wasn’t expecting not to be able to sit on couch at night and comfortably watch tv - as you can’t ! Space in cabin is just really tight. No replenishment of household items, nowhere to dry towels. All other cabins seem to have a clothes horse.

We had a motel room for a week which was too long but would return to a unit on the caravan site. Needing to use the bathroom tap to fill the kettle and wash dishes. I suggest this is the common way motes run. Whilst there were chairs outside a table under the eves as well was needed to read out doors and chill with wine out of the sun.
