Very quiet when we were there. Very nice new cabin/villa. Comfortable bed. Well appointed kitchen. Good parking right beside the villa. Enough for a car and trailer or 2 cars

Unfortunately there was a strong paint smell which prevented me from breathing properly and sleeping. May have been something touched up but it needed more airing before being rented out. Wifi was impossible to use for streaming so the only thing was free to air tv. Shower head was rain shower only and did not have enough water pressure to run it properly

The staff provided exceptional service, making our 30th wedding anniversary an unforgettable celebration. The Captain's Cottage was not only spacious and comfortable, but its charm as a standalone building also ensured a peaceful, serene atmosphere. We enjoyed the luxury of privacy, allowing us to fully relax and savor the special moments of our anniversary together.

I was disappointed to find that the facilities did not match the brochures and website, which featured a stylish June Farrell cocktail bar, an Allan Whiter Family saloon bar, and an elegant dining area with white tablecloths. Instead, when I arrived to celebrate our anniversary, the restaurant had a casual pub bistro vibe that lacked the sophistication I had expected.

Overpriced. Photos in booking.com are misleading as it shows the beautiful hotel rooms and when one books they expect those rooms and not cabins which they market as villas. Suggest they should upload the photos of actual cabins and may call them as villas.( atleast guests will know what to expect) not a single photo of the cabins are in booking.como

The location is truly stunning, the property is so pretty. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. Would have loved to be staying longer but would definitely return some day.

The food for dinner was ok but not maybe as good as we had hoped. Understandably an older building it has some issues like squeaky floors and an unusual slope in the floor to the bathroom door which is a bit concerning for stubbing toes! A drop of oil on the doors would be helpful as they too were squeaky.

My partner and I stayed in July 24 whilst she recovering from her extended cancer treatment. she loved it but was too tired and emotional to enjoy the property and its location. This return was my Christmas present to her, and the tears this time were of joy.

It's a good restaurant but having to order at the bar and get my own drinks isn't a good look for a restaurant that isn't really that cheap. That said the staff performed their tasks well

Fabulous location right on the beach. Our lift room was wonderful, so comfortable with a beautiful bathroom. Hit a good night sleep in the big comfy bed.

We found the food in the onsite restaurant ordinary and very overpriced. Added to the already expensive food was a 15%surcharge for the public holiday. While I’m happy to pay that for staff working on a long weekend, there was no table service. We had to go up and order at the counter, then walk to bar to order drinks. Would have been cheaper to drive into Eden and eat there.

Breakfast was basic but good, you good pay for extras if you wanted to, room was nice, lovely view, beautiful location, staff were exceptional from reception to the restaurant, restaurant was lovely & the food was really good & reasonably priced.

The bathroom needs a soap dish!!! There was a note from management asked that you didn't put soap on the tiled shelf but there was nowhere else to put it? Bed a little hard & some noise from people above our room, small criticisms we were not there much, didn't try the bar but looked lovely.

Lovely location, on the beach, a bit secluded, which makes this place really special. The main building where reception is located is beautiful. We stayed in the “villas” which are a bit further away. But they were actually lovely, clean, spacious, beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfortable.

One might be a bit surprised by the “villas” which are more of prefabricated accommodations. But they were so cleverly done and so nicely decorated that it is actually an excellent option for a family. The villas were located just by a camping site, so you lose a bit of the luxurious feel you get when you arrive at the main building. Also, the blinds are not black out so by 6.00am you’re waken up but the lovely sun. Perhaps a good idea to bring eye masks. But all in all, lovely!

Location of Hotel is excellent, right on the beach for long walks. The restaurant meal and service were very good. The breakfast which was included was also excellent I had mine served on the veranda. 99% of staff were friendly and helpful.

The frosty reception. I had Room 3 the room was quite dowdy and needed a fresh coat of paint. The windows are old (expected with this building) but not in good condition (needed sanding and repainting) and dirty. The thick fly netting obscured the view of the garden and did not let in much light. I would not want to eat breakfast in the room, too depressing.

This historic inn is in a fabulous location, opening out to a beach on beautiful Twofold Bay and Eden can be seen in the distance. One night we had the most glorious moon shining across the quiet bay to the beach! Rooms have been redecorated recently and are stylish and very comfortable. The bathroom includes a walk in shower and everything was new and attractive. The property provides restaurant facilities and a sheltered beach.

Breakfast was served in the room and was generous but not gourmet. The hotel used to have a fine dining restaurant and a bistro. Now only a slightly more upmarket bistro is available.
