Location was in a close location to the cbd and beach. Although my husband and I were mainly there at night sleeping, we had no disturbance from any other tenant and we will surely be back.

Gardens should be checked for cigarette butts. As my husband and I smoke, but we have the sense to make sure we use the ashtray provided or go for a walk outside the premises and also, we smoked rollies all the time instead of cigarettes. Plus, these butts were there before our stay. Plus, also my husband cleaned out the ashtray by putting our butts in the rubbish bin that was in the bathroom and had left it outside on the chair out the front this morning when we left.

We didn’t have breakfast. Property was very clean. Tea coffee facilities excellent. Milk provided. Bottled water provided. Plentiful towels, soap and shampoo. Very comfortable and quiet.

WiFi codes on envelope with our key card, in lockbox. Included was a questionnaire with phone/email details, which we filled in, put in the envelope and posted back in the postbox. Thinking we should do promptly. When we needed WiFi code, at our leisure, no access to them. No reference anywhere in the room or online. irrItating and frustrating. No lack of directions to do, or more likely not to do, in the room. But not the WiFi code.

The host for this stay was exceptional...our function was several kilometres from Bluewater Harbour Motel, and the owner dropped us off and picked us up so we could enjoy our night...if you are looking for value, friendly service and a great stay, please consider this motel..

Never stayed at this accommodation before, and I can say from our experience, there was nothing you could not like

The location of this motel was excellent-it does need a sign on the white wall so you know that it is the Motel. The signage points down Powell street but the GPS brings you from the port to the motel

the noisy neighbours that came in late at night:( They were very naughty

This was one of the best motels l have stayed at. The room was great close to city centre. And Simon who greeted me at reception could not have been more helpful and friendly. Even offered to go into town and pick up dinner for me if l wanted to order from one of the pubs. Thanks for a great stay

Nothing everything was great

Everything was above our expectations. We arrived 11:20pm on new years eve and the owner (Simon) was there waiting for us. Big warm welcome, gave us food because he knew that nothing would be open. Made himself available for Everything. For what we've paid the accommodation was really comfortable. Bed and all the amenities. Super clean. Great space with pool and BBQ. Absolutely recommend 👌

We were pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the room. We had a garden room, and was very convenient for a short walk to grassed areas for our dog. The room was large with dining table, desk, double and single beds, and coffee/tea facilities and even plates and cutlery, which was great for getting take-away and eating comfortably in the room. The beds were super comfortable and very quiet aircon making it easy to get a good nights sleep. The pool was also a welcome sight after a long day in the car.

Nothing to do with the motel, but getting take-away on a Saturday night turned out to be a challenge. Most places had an hour or more wait for food. Just bear this in mind and order early!

The room was clean and tidy, it had all the necessary facilities, parking right at door which made it handy when dealing with cases etc. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would recommend stay to family.

Unfortunately the showere head fell apart when first used and the TV Remote wouldn't change channels but connection to internet sufficed. All these issues were brought to the notice of staff and remedied without delay so could not fault them.

Emmery went out of her way to show us around Bowen. Outa working hours in her personal time. Which we were very grateful for n muchly appreciated.

That the beach wasn't accessible to us older ladies walking from the motel. The bedroom needed a beside lamp.

The hosts Simon and Barry were wonderful nothing was too hard for them. Conversation was cheerful watching the tennis whilst eating a state of the art alfresco barbecue with all the trimmings including cheesecakes which almost put everyone into a food coma Children loved the large pool with all the pool toys and music, room to play grass games a perfect way to start the New Year. Rooms were spacious with connecting door that could be opened or shut. close to town yet quiet. Will be coming back to see the plans for the motel Barry snd Simon spoke of come to fruition. For only buying the hotel 35 days ago they have thrown themselves whole heartedly into making guests welcome and comfortable. Wished we could have stayed longer than a stopover on the way to Port Douglas. Next time we are definitely staying longer.
