Room was clean & comfortable. Loved the little bedside tables (I know they are a bonus item). Decent sized shower & good water pressure. Staff were friendly. Parking off road (although not necessarily directly at your door) Close to everything.

Parking was a little awkward but manageable. A little noisy on Friday/Saturday night (naturally) but I was quite close to the road - still able to easily get a good sleep.

Hotel was very conveniently located. The staff were friendly, always waved good morning to us. The room was cleaned nearly everyday even without us needing to ask. Bed were comfy and the a/c kept the room nice and cool. The window above the shower provided endless entertainment for my little one, watching the geckos outside catching bugs.

Older style motel , very clean and comfortable. Great shower and good food available to the room from the bistro. Easy walk to supermarket and front beach. Far better than I expected for the price.

Some noise and music from neighbouring venues but to be expected when in a central downtown location. Wore earplugs to bed and had a great nights sleep.

I love the staff is very welcoming and takes good care of their visitors. I also love the location and the restaurant and bar is available to the rooms. I went dancing outside my room to the entertainment coming from the restaurant.

I love the accommodation and the atmosphere of the whole place. I enjoy my stay there.

The Hotel Staff were amazing and nothing too much trouble. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean. Bedding and towels supplied are immaculate, soft fluffy towels and brilliant white sheets. Wrapped cups and glasses plenty of tea and coffee available. The food atmosphere and entertainment in the pub brilliant. Location from bus stop if travelling via greyhound is practically right outside. There is car parking available outside the rooms should you need it.

Nothing to dislike

i left Bowen 16 months ago after living there for 20 years and the service was outstanding as you also accommodated my request for an early check in of 9.30 am. The young lady who checked me in was welcoming and very friendly. the service I got reminded me of how lovely Bowen is. thank you. this will be a fortnightly/monthly arrangement if I can get a room every time. thanks again.

No breakfast served, the venue has turned back into a pub from when I last visited, ate food in the evening both nights we stayed. Good pub grub, although disappointing the wood fired pizzas weren’t being served. Our room was lovely and clean, spoke with the cleaners who were happy in their jobs, and proud of what they did. Location is perfect, able to walk to the local shops and sea front.

Light at night shines in from the shower window which yo can’t block out.

No allocated parking for unit which made it frustrating when returning from outings. Had to park on road alot.

Room was great, very clean, quiet, wonderful secure parking and the food from the restaurant was excellent. Fish and prawn cutlets one of the best pub meals I had and my daughter had loaded chicken snotty and she loved every bit of it. Sandy was very welcoming and friendly.

Central location; easy access/checkin after hours; the rooms are always exceptionally clean; aircon cold; big shower; great water pressure. The Australian is always a pleasure for an overnight stop when travelling up and down the coast - Bowen is a lovely little spot.
