Exceptional value for money - easily the best location in North Queensland! Top beach with easy car access to resort and convenient, covered parking. Family-friendly atmosphere. Massive, clean, modern bedrooms, lounge, and kitchen areas. A medium-large scale multilevel property with lift access. Friendly management. Patrons are all regular return-guest families. Access to walking tracks and local public transport bus. Bay is lightly frequented by locals for excellent bbq, swimming, snorkelling, paddling, and fishing location. Pet friendly accommodation. Bird life is active and pleasantly visible. Bay is slightly isolated from town and relatively quiet. Would also rate as a top honeymoon destination or weekender. No schoolies were visible at the time of review. Suitable for car travellers and families.

Bag trolley would be helpful.

Right on the beach, apartment was very spacious and comfortable with a lift. Bed was super comfy and price was very reasonable, Had everything you need in the kitchen. Beautiful to watch the sea from your private balcony and a quick drive to everywhere in Bowen.

The only negative was the hall way light shine through the bathroom into the bedroom (had wooden shutters from the bathroom to the bedroom), as I like it to be dark to sleep. But the light turned off later at night so not a super big deal.

Great location. Right in the beach and near walking tracks. Spacious apartment with all required appliances, including coffee machine 😊

Paddle boards, snorkel gear and kayaks not available as being taken by other guests to rooms. Should have some sort of sign in system to give everyone a fair go at the use of these. It is great to have this available to all guests😊😊

The absolute beach front position. It's literally right on the beach. We had a ground floor apartment, so we stepped straight off our patio and across the grass onto the sand. Listening to the sounds of the ocean at night was divine.

The bathroom was lovely and spacious but unfortunately there was no solid wall or glass separating the bedroom from the bathroom, only a venetian blind so privacy for the toilet was an issue for us. There are no restaurants or cafes in the resort or within short walking distance, so you have to self-cater or drive for meals.

Location was beautiful but sandflies were ferocious. Perhaps a good sandfy bite remedy could be in-house for guestd to apply and ease the suffering of the bites. Also the rooms are not designed for those with disabilities so some accommodation for that is advised.

Access to food supplies requires a car as they are too far away to reach by foot.

The sliding door to the ensuite could not go to the toilet in the middle of the night quietly it is a noisy door

The location was excellent, right on the beach and being able to watch the sunrise from our apartment. The apartment had everything we needed, and it was good to see my wife relax and not touch her laptop while we were there which is what she needed.

This is our 2nd time staying in a studio apartment at Rose Bay Resort. It is very comfortable and clean with lots of room. It has a pool and undercover parking and is right on the beach front.

Our unit had a beautiful view of the ocean and the staff and facilities were excellent. We will be back for another stay in the near future we absolutely loved our time there.

There was nothing really that we didn’t like except the sandflies came when the sun went down but that is to be expected being on the beach so we will come prepared next time.

The view is magnificent. Right on rhe beachfront at the end of a road, the beach is yours. Wake up to the sun literally rising in front of you, and at the of a wonderful day in the ocean and swimming pool, watch the moon rise as well. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The kitchenette (in the studio units) are equipped with the basics to be able to fully self-cater (which is what we did). There is a good onsite grill BBQ and free laundry facilities.

Am just being picky here, as it was a very comfortable place. Consider bringing your own pillows as those in the rooms are woefully uncomfortable. The resort also allows smoking on the balconies of rooms, which is unpleasant for non-smokers who happen to be also trying to enjoy their balcony.
