It might not be for everyone with the shared bathroom facilities, but as far as value for money goes it was amazing! Quiet fire at night and a good bottle of wine. The lack of reception was a bonus for me.

The place could use some love, but the condition is understandable with only one couple running the whole place. It would be a lot of work.

The property is out in the country and is super quiet, the facilities are great and nice hot showers, we were lucky and had dinner and breakfast there. The food was very good and couldn’t ask for more. We used the fire pit and watched the great view In the sky, that’s hard for see form the city.

We didn’t want to go home, it was the best relaxing night we have had in a while.

The creek in front of the cabins provided a great place for our 9, 6, 3yo children to play. It was just the right depth. The tennis and basketball courts were great too as our children enjoyed playing with balls. It.was quite relaxing and refreshing to stay here. Katy and Dennis were great hosts. Thank you for helping us.

I would have liked more cooking options, ie, I should have packed the camping cooking tools to use over the campfire. Our phones had absolutely no reception when we needed it...but we could not have done anything about it and we knew about it too.

I liked that it was quiet and the kids could ride their bikes up and down the road. I liked the activities on site like tennis, basketball, playing by the creek, sitting around a fire. I liked the double bed, as it was nice and comfy. The homemade food was delicious.

The bunk beds were rock hard and the kids all complained that they couldn’t sleep. The bugs were ruthless, I was bitten by a giant ant and so was my 6 year old, and my 7 year old was bitten/stung by something in his sleep and his lip blew up like an elephant for 2-3 days. It would be nice to have a sink/tap by the cabin too. There is no screens on the windows and we didn’t want mozzies inside so it got quite hot at night inside.

We made the booking very last minute for two adults and five children, and the confirmation email I received from booking.com was very confusing. However, I contacted the accommodation via email and Katy replied straight away and assisted us. She even upgraded us to a cabin that had a queen bed for my partner and I, instead of just single bunks. We had a wonderful time at Christmas Creek. The small cabin was perfect for our not-so-small family and puppy dog; the weather was a bit chilly but inside it was nice and warm, with enough blankets/sheets for everyone (we also had our sleeping bags for extra warmth). It was wonderful to be away from mobile reception and internet, to enjoy nature, play tennis, and sit by the campfire at night. We made friends with the other campers, the kids loved going to the cafe to buy ice-cream, and we got our morning coffee too. A perfect stay.

The booking process was not very clear (due to booking.com, not Katy) - I was trying to book for 2 adults 5 children and a dog, but the confirmation email said 4 adults had been booked for. The website was also not clear about pets having to pay an extra fee. Luckily Katy was very helpful and I was able to sort it all out before our arrival.

Breakfast was delicious, Cafe was awesome , fresh jams and relishes, cookies, just delicious! Owners very accommodating and knew alot of historical facts about the area, what a great stay!

Beds bit hard

Katy was amazing. she showed us around and then we had the time to ourselves, sitting quietly, listening to the wildlife and the river. It was just what we needed to switch off after our move home to Australia.
