What a beautifully unique experience our stay at 'Contained' was! We were left in awe not only by the natural ambience of the valley in which the venue is located, but also the ingenuity and care evident in the design and features of the shipping container-based units. They seemed to seamlessly integrate into each other. We also couldn't get our heads around how so much had been placed within what should have felt like a constrained space - the unit was very much up there with the best that you'd find in any 'resort'. Sitting on the balcony, watching the sun set over the range with nothing but the sounds of water running along the nearby creek in the background - THIS was holiday relaxation.

This is definitely a 'nit pick' and not a 'dislike' as it was very difficult to fault anything at 'Contained'. If you're a bigger bloke like me, you might find the bathroom logistics a little challenging. Fortunately I've been to Japan and so found a way to cope but if the shower head was just that little bit further out from the wall, that would have been helpful. The pressure and warmth, however, were excellent!

We loved this place so much I messaged the host and begged them to let us stay another night. It is so cool! There is a another container beside you but you can't see or hear them from your unit. The container itself is just like the photos and has absolutely everything you need and then some! It's about a three minute drive into actual Nimbin, you're surrounded by beautiful nature, mountains, cows come straight to the fence, there are wallabies and this fantastic creek you can swim in! I really don't have a single bad thing to say about this place!

Extremely well appointed and you're just going to be completely blown away at just how luxuriously a 40 foot and a 20 foot shipping container can be fitted out. The bed is super comfy (we stayed in the Wollumbin cabin) Lovely gardens and setting. They're very new, so the fixtures and fittings are in beautiful condition. Netflix was included

We were on a cycling holiday, so the extra 3.5km into town for a meal was a bit of an issue, but if you're like 99.9% of travellers and you arrive by car or motorcycle,, the 5 minute drive into town will yield you the peace and serenity of this beautiful location

The location is just perfect , with some of the best views and stargazing opportunities you could ask for. The property itself is quaint , so open light and fresh , really makes you feel part of the landscape but also like your living lavish with a beautifully designed cabin with amazing luxury amenities. Nicole was so lovely , her lovely welcome message made it clear straight away that she was caring and would be happy to help with anything I needed

Absolutely nothing to dislike

Peaceful, simple and clean container house at a beautiful location. Coffee and tea (with milk) was provided, and there were also snacks that could be purchased. Bathroom was equipped with hot water system, shampoo etc, towels and hair dryer. The night sky was clear and I could see the milky way with my bare eyes. A perfect weekend getaway. Highly recommended!

We loved everything about the property and had so much fun exploring the orchard and creek. The furniture was comfortable and the rooms were beautifully appointed. Our hosts went out of their way to help. My favourite moments were relaxing on the porch at the beginning and end of each day, with only the sounds of nature.

This was the perfect escape we were looking for. Peace and tranquility, a beautiful creek, orchard, fire pit nights…

Tiny bathroom. I think a mirror above the dresser in the bedroom would free up the bathroom and provide a space to get ready and it is near a plug socket for hairdryer and straighteners.

Other than the couple of small gripes it really was a great place to stay and we would have stayed another night but it was fully booked . Spotlessly clean

The mirrored cabinet needs to go . Unnecessary and cumbersome . Was a bit annoying having the neighbors water pump under our window . They seemed to shower constantly from the time they got there till the time they left .

Exceptional service. Was greeted on site by Nicole who was doing some last minute maintenance to prepare bespoke requests to help accomodate myself and a friend who I was travelling with. Everything was clean and inviting. We found a bag of packaged goods including some quality honey, a bamboo toothbrush and some reusable metal straws. The ‘minibar’ was extremely affordable and well priced. The balcony was a great place to relax with a drink. The surrounding area felt rural enough to escape the hustle bad bustle but was still a short drive into the main town for dinner and other luxuries. The kitchen has numerous facilities. The lounge room is super cosy and the TV is modern enough to accomodate as a music player using YouTube. A welcoming hand written note addressed to me and my last minute guest was left on the table, a nice personal touch.

Didn’t have enough time to check out the awesome stream across the paddocks, but that was on our poor time management 😅 The road to reach the cabins was a bit pot-holey, but not a reflection of the cabins themselves or Nicole’s hospitality.

We had spent a few days living with the busyness of the Coast before venturing up into the hinterland. We spent the first afternoon on the verandah enjoying the quiet of where we were, the birdsong and the relaxing sound of the creek flowing nearby. The hosts were generous with the time and energy they had spent setting everything up and we enjoyed the small things that made a big difference.
