Great location. Very convenient, close to everything. Clean, necessary amenities and safe. Excellent for a weekend getaway. Room was very quiet and also quite dark so that was nice for a good sleep. Comfy and spacious bed.

Overall it was a fine stay. The shower taps were a little bit hard and had to be closed vigorously for the water to stop dripping. It also has no view of anything, frosted windows, not a deal breaker, and we were warned in advance. We arrived on the weekend so there were no parking restrictions; but I wouldn't want to arrive during business hours as the whole area is restricted and the building doesn't have parking of its own.

I had to come up to Lismore at very short notice from Sydney as my mum had very bad fall and was at Lismore Base Hospital. I ended up extending my stay as she had to undergo more surgery. Being close to her but also being able to come and go between the hotel and the hospital, to chill out in between hospital visits, was really necessary during the day, and at night it was really lovely to come and have a few beers and not sit in a hotel room - it was most needed and appreciated distraction for me. The food at the Sherwood was also really good! I had the chicken parmi one night and seriously it was the best chick parmi I've ever had!!! So much so I went and thanked the chefs in the kitchen! Thanks guys.. If i ever need to come back up, I will be booking with you again.

probably not being able to talk with someone when i needed to extend my stay. i ended up booking again online but then i was at the hospital on the day i was due to check out of the first booking, and an sms said i had to change rooms. it was just stressful as wasn't at the hotel I was with mum that morning. but all good, I called the hotel and spoke with Harrison I think. He said I could stay in room 10 but it would cost more than moving to room 4. I ended up saying ok ill pay more, and can sort it when i get back to the hotel. But, when i did get back, the staff said dont worry about paying more. I think it was $20 extra per night. This kind gesture was really appreciated. it was a pretty stressful few days. And I was on my own. There really isnt anything to complain about. Just minor.

OUTSTANDING is the word I use to describe the Sherwood hotel. We were amazed at this gem accommodation in the heart of Lismore. Our great experience started with the super easy check in process, no key, no card just a pin number to use on all the electronic access doors, very convenient. The entire space was beautifully presented, lounge, dining and bedroom were modern but still cosy and warm. There was a fully equipped massive kitchen and stunning bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was the best we have come across. No one wanted to get out!. The beds were very comfortable and the place was spotless. We ate at the restaurant and our meals were fantastic! Staff were great and the kitchen staff were accommodating with our special meal requests. The Sherwood felt like an exclusive boutique hotel with all the trimmings whilst offering great prices. The Sherwood Hotel will now be our home away from home when visiting the Lismore surrounds

The rooms are comfy, the new face lift looks great, and the shower pressure is great. The value for money is quite good. The hotel is in a great location, behind the hotel you can walk along the river through some bamboo and watch the water dragons, and there is a shopping centre, pubs, cafes and interesting shops all within a 15 minute walk.

Housekeeping was the only downside of our stay, when we entered the room there was a half full glass of water on the tv stand, and unfortunately, the sanitary bin in the bathroom did not have a liner in it, which was a bit difficult due to me being on my period, so I had to find alternate disposal methods.

It was great to be in the middle of town accessible to cafes, shops and restaurants. The bar and restaurant downstairs were excellent quality and value. I really like the styling of the decor and the fact that the renovation wasn't overly done. For instance the lovely 60's mosaic tiles were retained keeping some character. All the funky vintage decor was well done. Nothing was fussy but everything was clean and comfortable. As regular visitors to Lismore we will be back.

If I was being picky there was quite a bit of light coming in from the street lights around the blinds but I will bring an eye mask next time as I am quite sensitive to light.

The cleanliness and size of the room was great. The beds were really comfortable and I loved that we could open the windows and let the fresh air in. Staff were super friendly and the location was excellent. Would definitely book again.

The air conditioning was pretty cold - the remote didn't seem to correlate with the actual temperature but the windows opened so we had options and on the second day it was an absolute scorcher in Lismore so it was lovely and cool. It would also have been great if there had been some hooks on the doors or a wardrobe to hang things. A clothese airer would also have been a great help as there was only one towel rail in the bathroom, so we had to use the chairs to drape wet towels/clothes over.

Great value hotel in a great location. Was perfect as a pit stop to explore the surrounding area.

The hot water in the shower was mostly just dribble. Even though there was a sign asking to be patient with it, one could hardly have a proper hot water shower. Please note that I’m not sure if the problem is with the council water supply, or if it’s with the property. Also, Booking.com suggests the check-out time as “10:00-11:00” indicating that there is flexibility to be able to check out by 11. But close to 11, I was advised that the check-out time was at 10am. I think it could be made clearer on Booking.com

Location was perfect, we didn't have breakfast there, but went across the road further towards the corner to a wonderful cafe we have been to before.. but we did have dinner there and it was delicious

Only very small faults, were no ordinary tea bags, which was quickly remedied with a simple phone call.. as the rooms are upstairs and l had just driven 8 hours so truly didn't want to climb the stairs again.. Lovely gentlemen fixed this problem.. Second little issue is the street lights outside the window.. the position of the bed and the blinds don't prevent them coming in... this is my issue, as probably not everyone worries about light.. l live in country area so no street lights for 15 miles.. lol

The room was large and modern but sadly let down by a cheap bed and basic bed linen ! A great large tv a beautiful bathroom and amazing shower head …. Overall a nice room ….. we had dinner at the restaurant but let down by the two meals first meal was a pumpkin salad with chicken and the other prawn linguine

The bedding / mattress, pillows and linen …. Everything else was perfect

A comfortable hotel room with ensuite above a pub in the main street. The room was reasonably spacious although the bathroom and shower were small. The room was quiet with no noise from the pub or street. There was no need to check in as access to the building and room was easy via a code using a keypad.

No parking is provided by the hotel but after-hours street parking near the hotel is easy - there are no parking meters. You can park overnight for free between 6:00 pm and 8:30 am and then for another 2 hours until 10:30 am.
