Excellent,clean and tidyy place. The host both Jennifer and Rob were both friendly and very helpful for directions if you enquired for church services,good coffee places, sightseeing areas and swimming areas etc. We even hire a 4 wheel drive from them. It was easy and convenient to drive every and very clean and affordable. Thank you guys! Looking forward to seeing you next . Happy Day 🙌

The whole package from the time you walk from their driveway to your room. Admiring all the beautiful living plants and Palm trees as well as the lovely sitting area where the bbq is and the swimming pool. Spot on🙌

Had an absolutely wonderful time here. The setting in Picnic Bay is perfect, and was a lovely little oasis of calm. The entire property is surrounded by lush greenery and the pool area was very inviting. The barbecue area was spacious ( although we didn't have time to use it). The apartments were kitted out with everything we needed, including starter tea/coffee, and the addition of pool/beach towels was very welcome. Also really useful to have laundry facilities, at a very reasonable cost, particularly as we could also hang them outside to dry. 2 minute walk to the beach, which is idyllic, lovely walks along the Esplanade, and 2 minutes to the bus stop to get all around the island. And the hosts, Jen and Rob, were so welcoming and ready to help with advice on things to do, places to eat - even on our ongoing journey. Went to several places they recommended and wasn't disappointed. So glad we came across Tropical Palms during our search, I think it will remain my favourite place to stay during my entire trip.

Our stay at Tropical Palms Resort was simply beyond our expectations: I slept here with my sister for two nights and everything was just perfect. Clean room and bathroom, there's a beautiful outside pool that unfortunately we didn't have time to use. Rob and his wife (so sorry I forgot her name) were so friendly and recommended places to visit and where to eat in the area. Rob provided us a map of all the island with the best highlights. This place is a little gem in this paradise of an island! Best choice ever 💙 thank you for everything!

The fact that I had to leave

This was a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations. It was easy to find and just a short walk from the esplanade that has a few restaurants, a pub, a cafe, a brewery and a gorgeous beach with a jetty to fish off (or just watch the world go by) and a swimming net. Picnic Bay is a quite spot on the island but the busses run frequently and on time to get you anywhere else on the island if you want to explore. The man on reception was so friendly with a no fuss check in and super informative about anything we needed to know. The accommodation is small but absolutely spotless. Paths and gardens were clean and maintained, the pool was sparkling, the outdoor bbq area super clean and spacious and the rooms were just perfect, actually better than the photos. They had everything we needed for our night stay, we would definitely stay again and hopefully for longer next time.

After a week of running around sightseeing here and there, I arrived on Magnetic Island hoping most of all for rest and relaxation, and Tropical Palms was absolutely perfect for that! Rob welcomed me warmly in spite of my failure to properly communicate a late arrival, and gave lots of tips on where to go for walks to spot wildlife. My room was comfortable and clean, and overall the place was really lovely, laid-back and peaceful. I was glad I'd picked the location by Picnic Bay, which is probably the most quiet part of the island. There's nevertheless a nice selection of restaurants nearby, and a nice beach, and koalas live right next doors! Loved it!

The only thing I didn't like was that I only had time to stay for two nights.

Room was lovely, very tropical and we had the pool just outside the door. Room had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was great, everything you required for either a 1 night stay or longer. Had an outdoor area if you wanted to sit outside. You can walk to beach and eateries which was great. Not far to drive to the other Bays - Nelly Bay and Horseshoe Bay. Would definitely stay in Tropical Palms - Picnic Bay again. Great people running it, happy to help and very responsive. Nice rooms and setting, although basic. The location is perfect - close to all the town has to offer. The bed was comfy, great shower, nice pool. I also appreciated an early check in.

The tv was complicated and as the internet was patchy the streaming apps were unreliable. Although kitchen provisions were the bare minimum they were adequate for me as I wasn’t cooking.

Fabulous little unit overlooking the pool. Well equipped kitchenette. Hot power shower and comfy bed. Very short walk to the beach, pub and restaurants and the bus stop as well as some nice short hikes to the two lookouts and a longer walking path to Nelly Bay. Jen and Rob went out of their way to make our stay a very memorable one. We were here for 9 nights - could have stayed longer!

Tropical Palms is in a perfect location to enjoy the beautiful Picnic Bay. It is walking distance from the beach, surf club, restaurants and the pub. The local bus stops outside which was handy as we arrived after dark. The staff were amazing, friendly and very attentive to our needs. During our stay we noted how hard working the staff were in keeping the grounds looking immaculate. The pool and BBQ area is peaceful and also very clean. The room was a little small but it was perfect for our 1 night stay. The shower was excellent! Highly recommend and we would stay again.

wonderful stay at this place. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly receipt . The check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was soft, which allowed me to have a good rest. The facilities in the room were all in good condition. The service during my stay was excellent. The housekeeping was thorough every day. Whenever I had a request, the staff would respond promptly. I am very satisfied with this accommodation and would recommend it to others.
