Great location in Arcadia right near 2 great bays called Elliot and Alma. Both awesome for snorkelling. You can walk to them both in your wetsuit. You can see the ocean from the pool area and sit outside your room listening to the birds. There is a good pub right next door that has good food and something going on every night including toad racing on Wednesdays. The bus stops to all the villages is nearby. I would stay here again.

Could have done with a clothes drying rack to get our wet stuff dry easily. Also more crockery and a chopping board would have been useful as we did have breakfast and a couple of microwave meals in our room.

My partner and I recently spent a fantastic few nights at the Arcadia Motel and had a great time. The location is a definite highlight – it's right next to the Arcadia Hotel and the local bus stop, which makes getting around the island super easy. We were also just a short walk from the beautiful Alma Bay beach and the famous rock wallabies, which was a real treat. While there are more luxurious options in Nelly Bay, the Arcadia Motel was perfect for our needs. We particularly appreciated the relaxed and convenient vibe of the area. The room itself was comfortable, although we did find ourselves wanting a bit more storage space for our belongings during our extended stay. We also needed to grab some additional supplies like towels from the office, but the staff were friendly and helpful. A couple of minor points to note: the Wi-Fi and TV reception were a bit hit and miss at times. However, this didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the trip. The location and relaxed atmosphere more than made up for it. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning to the Arcadia Motel on our next Magnetic Island adventure.

No storage in room

We had the bonus of being the front of the property, right across the road from the beach. The new owners are doing a fabulous job of updating the units and the property. Value for money too, as we didn't need to walk far to have an encounter with a koala. With the pub next door, which had amazing meals and coffee, everything was perfect for a quick getaway. Would definitely take a car next time, to see more of the island.

I would take my own pillow, as I had forgotten, and I always travel with mine. Nothing else, as toiletries were also included.

Awesome location across road from beach 🏖 & the most beautiful turquoise blue beach 5 min walk where we swam . Located next to pub where we got great cheese cake & arancci balls😋 short bus ride to market & Mexican 😋 bus stop out front & close to ferry. Could walk ☺ Loved that it was such a quiet location here with very compared to everywhere else we went☀ in saying that was surprised how lovely & quiet it was in the most busy of areas & absolutely love this place 🙏 🌴 🏖

The room itself was clean, comfortable and well-equipped for our stay. The pool was inviting and much enjoyed. The view was spectacular, but why simply look at the ocean when you can cross the street and walk beside it on a clean, beautiful, uncrowded beach where we encountered only sea birds and a few friendly fellow beach walkers? Wow what a great place to stay!

When we arrived, it was a bit difficult to find the office to check in.

The rooms seemed very new and we're really clean. We had a balcony, and had a bit of a beach view overlooking the pool. The staff were very nice! There was a restaurant and bar next door, which had great events and offers on. You are right next to the rock wallabies and an amazing beach!

This hotel is going through a lot of refurbishment, so we can see it will be great. However it meant during our stay there wasn't a reception or cooking facilities. Not a massive problem for us but wish this would've been communicated before booking.

This property is in a great location for exploring the island. You can see rock wallabies in the rocks at the end of the beach and koalas on the Forts walk just up the road. The rooms are great, really clean and comfortable. The Bikini bar next door does great food, the smashed avo toast is a breakfast fave.

Location was peaceful, close to perfect swimming beach (Alma Bay) and quiet beach for reflection and rest (Geoffrey Bay). Bus stop was closeby.

Spiders in the bathroom. Plates, cups etc and tea/coffee area was dusty. Valance on bedding was dirty. No broom or mop handy to clean Hotel - Waited 1 1/2 hours for dinner (chicken caesar salad) - meal was good but too long waiting.

Receptionist was very friendly and allowed us to have a late checkout so we could store our luggage in the unit. Excellent location close to beach and to bus stop and good facilities nearby

Reception only manned for a short time and no means of speaking to anyone, just an answerphone. Out of hours checkin and checkout instructions unclear.

Lovely, people but the rooms were a little run down and not amazingly clean. Not a huge bother as they got us in on an early check in and we also were offered a late check out which suited us as we all had kids playing in the pool. The location is amazing and to be honest the rooms were exactly as we expected. We spent most the time outside enjoying the island which is exactly what maggie island is for. We would stay again.
