Rachel and Jenny were so friendly and helpful and our check in process was great. All the advice they gave us on where to eat and what to see was accurate and we had a blast. The rooms were nicer in person than the photographs conveyed. The kitchenette had everything we needed - we made our own breakfast there and then would head out for the day and had the other meals out, but there's a communal BBQ as well which would be great for groups in multiple rooms. The pool was very pretty, but the water is warm during the day so it's only really enjoyable in the evenings in the heat of summer. The pool would be great for kids with lots of shallow shaded area. The communal room with a pool table etc wasn't cooled so it was far too hot for us to go in there in January. The aircon in the room was incredibly powerful and our room was one of the few refuges from the heat of the island. The location is central - but the island is pretty small so I don't think it matters so much where you stay - as long as you have a car. It was walking distance to IGA, a cafe, bottle-o and one of the best restaurants, Salt Water.

The mattress was like a trampoline! We both ended up sinking together in the middle of the bed, and when I got back my chiropractor asked questions about how my back recovery had gone backwards... The pillows were great, and the size of the bed was good. That would be my only criticism of our entire stay. I loved it and would highly recommend staying here.

Spacious room with all the amenities. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable swimming pool. Tennis court with rackets included. Helpful information provided at check-in about the island, things to do, how to get around the island, and bus schedules.

The information provided when booking the room about which ferry to take could be clearer. If you're traveling without a car, it’s more convenient to take the Sealink service, as it’s faster and the ferry terminal in Townsville is more accessible by bus. If you’re bringing your car to the island, you should take the Magnetic Island Ferries service. Both ferries arrive at the same terminal on Magnetic Island.

We stayed 3 nights in a Bure room which was clean, spacious & had a virtually new kitchen. Excellent pool, a games room & a handy laundry. Great service from Jenny on reception and we loved the location close to the water, supermarket, bottle shop, cafe and the local bus. Also easily walkable to Nelly Bay town & ferry.

One point off as a bit of noise & second-hand smoke from a neighbouring room and negotiating the bathroom with only a half wall (not all the way to the ceiling) can be slightly awkward 😳 😂

The room was massive! And exceptionally clean. A small resort that has been well taken care of over the years. The staff were all so friendly and took great pride in the property. It offered privacy and quiet while being just a short walk from stores and easily walkable from the ferry terminal. Easy access to the bus stop as well, one block back from the beach. Great AC and fans, plus everything you'd need to cook, and a beautiful little outdoor table and chairs. Will definitely be recommending this spot to friends and family for future visits.

The design of the open top bathroom. Wasn't an issue for us, but might not be everyone's thing. It was easy enough to sit outside and enjoy a beverage if someone wanted complete privacy.

Lovely staff. Very kind and helpful. Perfect location for self-catering being close to supermarket but also plenty of eating out options too. Big rooms, nice and cool. Hardly need aircon, ceiling fans do the trick mostly. Very handy to bus for getting anywhere on the island.

Unfortunately internet on the wifi very slow during times when most guests back in rooms i.e. early mornings and from 5pm.

We had an amazing time on magnetic island staying at island leisure resort! The team was lovely, they made us feel very welcomed and gave us many useful tips. The pool area in the resort is a nice place to relax and in general all the common areas are very inviting. The room was spacious and clean and the kitchen featured everything we needed. Location is great as well, close to the ferry and some supermarkets. The bus stop is right in front of the resort and makes it super easy to get around the island. Overall had a perfect stay and would come back here anytime! Thanks for having us

We liked everything about the apartment, but especially the staff who were amazing and super helpful, can’t fault them. Great location, great pool, great facilities and great staff, what’s not to like.

For us the bed was a bit soft and small, but that’s obviously a personal preference and it was perfectly serviceable and we are being very nitpicking here.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early which was a lovely surprise. We were given some tips on things to do and see nearby and a map and bus timetable when we checked in which I really appreciated. The room was spacious and comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and the tennis court and the games room. I would recommend this resort.

Would have liked more than one tiny shampoo and conditioner for a 4 night stay.

Rooms were large and very clean. Kitchenette with all the things you need to cook simple meals. Pool area and games room spotless. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location great with beach, bus stop and small supermarket nearby. Suitable for families and couples . My husband has Parkinsons so we had one of their special disability rooms and it was great.

The property was clean, well maintained and bins and facilities were easily located and easy to dispose of and was kept tidy at all times.. the pool area was beautifully presented and very clean. Only a few minutes walk to the beach

The only thing we found was the shower pressure was low compared to the kitchen tap pressure but we had hot water other than that everything had all we needed for a comfortable trip.
