Breakfast was excellent and good value for money.

The bathrooms are always very cold.. the wall heaters are not big enough to heat. Also how about upgrading the bathroom windows as a breeze always seeps through and put an exhutsy fan in.

Great place to lay your head. We stayed for 9 nights and had a wonderful stay. The bed was so comfortable, the room was spotless and serviced each day. Cosy warm room for Tasmania’s fickle weather, amazing breakfast (especially cost if included in booking) and the staff couldn’t do enough to help us in every way. The ducks were so lovely too. Would recommend over and over again.

Nothing to be unhappy about but a toaster in the room would have been nice because we always had too much for breakfast and would have appreciated just something like toast throughout the day. There wasn’t a microwave in each room but a communal one in the laundry was supplied.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was clean and warm, and perfect for what we wanted. We were close to all the places we wanted to visit. A big draw card was the ease of parking and access into the accommodation, made unloading and reloading the car a breeze. The accommodation is set on a beautiful waterfront, and it was lovely to see the ducks ambling about. The jettys and waterfront BBQ area were gorgeous, although we didnt use them, we will next time. Happy hour each night was a great touch. The bar and dining area are gorgeous mid century modern 😍. Everything is spotlessly clean and all staff very attentive. Thank you again for making our stay great.

The location is right next to the Brooker highway on ramp at Montrose High School. It is easy to access Claremont, Glenorchy or go straight into Hobart CBD. The onsite restaurant had good sized meals, on the bigger side for the price. We were able to book the restaurant when the staff called to get an estimated time of arrival.

The rooms are on the older side, which is fine for the price, unfortunately the building next to the accommodation had bright lights on all night. We are used to a street light outside our house, but these were brighter and came through the top of the windows, if you are a light sleeper I would recommend contacting the accommodation to get a unit away from the motel units opposite the reception. Due to the location there is road noise, but I was aware of this prior to booking

Older property but well maintained. Comfortable bed. Breakfast included in price very nice and quite large. We also ate dinner in restaurant, this meal was delicious and served to us by efficient and friendly staff. The lass at the front desk was also very helpful. Laundry on site a godsend after a week of travel.

The ducks, lovely creatures they may be - but a real nuisance, you have to be careful where you walk on the paths as they poop absolutely everywhere, and if you happen to leave your room door open to get something from the car - would they go inside the room and are very hard to shoo back out.

The location is great with the outlook over the river. We stayed in the river view rooms. Access to all directions whether you want to travel in any direction for day trips, it's good. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. The room was serviced every day which is nice to come back from a days travel and find it all clean and fresh.

Lack of ventilation as it would be nice to have a screen door on the river side so you can leave the door open to let fresh air in as there was no air-conditioning and it was hotter than usual in Hobart. A microwave would have been handy as well so as to eat in without having to spend big on dinner.

The pictures don't do the place justice!! The bed was so comfortable that we almost slept past dinner time after arriving for a late check in which was 6:30pm. We got to the restaurant 15 minutes before close and the kind lady at the server managed to squeeze us in. The food is GREAT!! Even the locals use the restaurant as a local diner. Make sure you book a room with breakfast included. You will not be disappointed and Mona museum is only two right turns away from the motel.

I didn't like the fact I booked a short stay !! I wish we stayed there longer. Everything was close by.

The location is convenient with such a stunning outlook and relaxed, beautifully kept grounds. The kids loved the pool, we loved the views and proximity to MONA and easy access to everything. The villa was super clean and comfortable.

Some flyscreens were missing off our windows, which made it tricky to have good air flow, especially at night time. When we were there, we couldn’t get espresso coffee from the restaurant, but there is a fabulous cafe a short drive e uk the road - highly recommend Caffeine Palace in Glenorchy.

There is a magic to this place, from the dreamy setting on the river with the wooden jetty to the basic but warm, comfortable, homey rooms to the vegetable and herb plots and the amazing breakfast in the cosy restaurant to the beautiful service and the adorable ducks that waddle up from the water to greet you in the morning. I am so coming back. Thank you!

Zilch. Nothing to not like. And if anyone complains in these reviews they are either high-maintenance or should have booked into a 5-star hotel for a sheltered experience.

The room was clean, comfortable, and warm. The breakfast was delicious. The grounds were nice. I stayed with my 5 year old grandson for a couple of nights and we played Pickleball, he played in playground, walked around looking for bugs with his bug catcher, walked out on jetty. It was nice to have things to do. We had thought we might brave the outside pool which is solar heated, but weather was far too cold. It was nice having the ducks wandering around. We might go back in the summertime.
