Breakfast was excellent and good value for money.

The bathrooms are always very cold.. the wall heaters are not big enough to heat. Also how about upgrading the bathroom windows as a breeze always seeps through and put an exhutsy fan in.

Great place to lay your head. We stayed for 9 nights and had a wonderful stay. The bed was so comfortable, the room was spotless and serviced each day. Cosy warm room for Tasmania’s fickle weather, amazing breakfast (especially cost if included in booking) and the staff couldn’t do enough to help us in every way. The ducks were so lovely too. Would recommend over and over again.

Nothing to be unhappy about but a toaster in the room would have been nice because we always had too much for breakfast and would have appreciated just something like toast throughout the day. There wasn’t a microwave in each room but a communal one in the laundry was supplied.

The location is great with the outlook over the river. We stayed in the river view rooms. Access to all directions whether you want to travel in any direction for day trips, it's good. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. The room was serviced every day which is nice to come back from a days travel and find it all clean and fresh.

Lack of ventilation as it would be nice to have a screen door on the river side so you can leave the door open to let fresh air in as there was no air-conditioning and it was hotter than usual in Hobart. A microwave would have been handy as well so as to eat in without having to spend big on dinner.

The pictures don't do the place justice!! The bed was so comfortable that we almost slept past dinner time after arriving for a late check in which was 6:30pm. We got to the restaurant 15 minutes before close and the kind lady at the server managed to squeeze us in. The food is GREAT!! Even the locals use the restaurant as a local diner. Make sure you book a room with breakfast included. You will not be disappointed and Mona museum is only two right turns away from the motel.

I didn't like the fact I booked a short stay !! I wish we stayed there longer. Everything was close by.

The location is convenient with such a stunning outlook and relaxed, beautifully kept grounds. The kids loved the pool, we loved the views and proximity to MONA and easy access to everything. The villa was super clean and comfortable.

Some flyscreens were missing off our windows, which made it tricky to have good air flow, especially at night time. When we were there, we couldn’t get espresso coffee from the restaurant, but there is a fabulous cafe a short drive e uk the road - highly recommend Caffeine Palace in Glenorchy.

Having access to the lap pool, tennis court, pirate ship play area (no swings though) and beautiful walking track looking onto Mona and Bridgenorth within our stay was wonderful. Restaurant for breakfast was beautiful meals and an additional cost. Was great to have room service (collection from reception) on hand as well.

Unfortunately, the Pirate ship play area doesn't include a swing set and we found the pool to be deep but is more for a lap pool then a children's pool area so understand but out little one was unable to benefit. If there were flyscreens on windows within the villa and or a flyscreen front door to allow fresh air without bugs or insects.

We loved the locality of Riverview. So close to Hobart and all its sites. Great place to be based to explore Port Arthur and Hobart and everything in between. The cleanliness could not be faulted . The bed comfy. The bathroom a bit dated but it added to the retro feel of Riverview. The staff were lovely. The restaurant was fantastic. Beautiful dinner and breakfast . Very generous servings. Lovely gardens and grounds to have a wander around. Loved how the heater was turned on for us before our arrival. Such a sweet thought from the lovely lady on reception on 28th Nov 24. Thanks again.

The lovely receptionist I think it was The most friendliest and welcoming receptionist I've ever encountered. I've stayed extensively throughout Australia in mainly establishments of a higher calibre. Than this humble and well maintained property. And the welcoming is as if you are a pest or a untrusted guest with snatching if I'd's out of your hand and a terrible attitude the wrest point casino is going to the wall with arrogance and a touch of racism is apparent. I would recommend river view as a sensational place with the restaurant providing meals far better than any eattery in the casinos venue

Pleasantly surprised by the outlook - we had a riverside room which opened directly onto a sweeping lawn down to the river, great view and the outside tables offered a nice place for a sundowner. Also pleasantly surprised by the restaurant food. A cut above a standard motel. Convenient location for Mona and MyStateBank Arena. Buses and Mona ferry nearby if you don’t feel like driving into town.

It is still a motel though, so be prepared for possible noise from neighbours and a smallish (but perfectiy adequate) bathroom.

Really enjoyed the "step back in time" design of the reception and the rooms. The old photos of the motel back in its day was very charming. The rooms were fresh and very clean. I loved seeing the old breakfast boxes still being used - so old school and still totally practical!! The ladies at reception were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant food quality was extremely good. The chef produced a killer steak and creamy mushroom sauce. In regard to the food, do try the breakfast. The Benny Eggs (eggs Benedict with bacon) was absolutely in my top 5!! The eggs were dead on perfect, and the taste of the bacon was out of this world!!! It must be a tassie thing because l have not had bacon like that on the mainland. So l suppose all in all, yes it was an enjoyable stay!!
