It's Aged, but it is clean and loved . And comfortable. And good value.

Unfortunately the wi fi isn't 100% ATM, we were told it's being re wired ATM, a little annoying as we booked this motel as the wi fi at our Brighton motel was useless. Hopefully it's working soon.. A door between the kitchen and bathroom area would have been nice , travelling with a teenager daughter , it's a nice room at a good price and the staff are wonderful. So no real complaints

The staff was nice enough to upgrade our room from a double queen to a queen and separate single bed. The room was large with more than enough room for 3 people. The facilities were great with a sofa, dining table provided if anyone wanted to have any meals in the room.

The view from the room wasn't great as it was on the ground floor and facing into the parking area.

This motel is definitely beyond my expectation - spacious room, clean, reception with great hospitality, comfortable beds, with a small balcony and beautiful Hobart views. It ticked all my boxes expect what I was already expecting - it’s a old motel with facilities looking a little out of date. But definitely great value for money. Will come back again if I visit Hobart again.

The receptionist Jo was a lovely lady and a pleasure to deal with! From the moment i arrived she was super friendly, helpful and with such a happy positive attitude. Jo made my stay the best! If i owned a motel i would want to get Jo as my receptionist. And give her a pay rise! She should be on $100 an hour

The receptionist who greeted us was awesome! She had such perfect customer service skills, and certainly made us feel welcome. We had a different receptionist to sign out with, she was also lovely! Awesome staff, our room was clean, beds were budget comfortable, bathroom was well set out

The hotel is a little outdated, but it still met our expectations

The hotel is located about 15 minutes by car from the centre of Hobart, and the accommodation was relatively cheap. There was a bus stop nearby for buses into the city, so it was very convenient. The staff were quick and polite. I left something in my room, but they dealt with it quickly, and I'm grateful for that.

It was absolutely great value for money. We were staying for a wedding so it was in a very central location for us to walk to New Town and North Hobart as well as the Salamanca Markets which was amazing as we got to explore the area. Also loved the facilities provided in terms of washing machine and dryer.

Always enjoy staying here, the staff are friendly and helpful, room was clean and tidy. Comfy bed, nice and quiet and in a good location. Parking on site. Excellent value for money.

Only criticism is the small vanity in the bathroom..... not enough room for two females and their toiletries!

it was nice to be able to avoid the hustle and bustle of the inner city but still be close enough to enjoy the attractions there. the rooms were spacious and clean and the kitchen facilities were perfect for what we needed. we were able to catch a glimpse of the midnight NYE fireworks from the top of the car park. We were supposed to have one downstairs family room and one upstairs studio room with a view of the city however ended up with two downstairs family rooms (could have done with just one room if we knew this) we had to change our NYE plans but still enjoyed our stay.

The tiles in the bathroom and shower were VERY slippery when wet. The floor of the shower was on a lean toward the drain and it felt like you needed to hold on to something to avoid slip sliding around.

We could not have been happier about our two day stay at the Argyle Motor Lodge in Hobart. Located about 35 minutes walk (all downhill!) from Hobart's waterfront, it has ample free car parking, big rooms and a friendly and helpful set of reception staff. There was a laundry for guest use ($7 AUS including detergent!) and our lage room had a fridge (with milk), kettle (tea and coffee provided) a hair drier, good wardrobe space, a large bed, a table for eating or working and a great bathroom with a bath and a shower. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and our room was serviced nicely too. Close by was a superb bakery serving drop dead gorgeous croissants and pastries and coffee/te which made a splendid breakfast. I jogged down to the waterfront one morning (and back, uphill). But we did have a car with us, which made moving around easier. We paid £237 for two nights bed only. A bit expensive - but not compared to other Hobart prices!
