One particular night: we woke up to the sudden opening of our door, luckily the stopper prevented whoever it was to come inside. My friend shared that there was no shadow behind the door so we think it's...something else? Microwave is a little bit of a disadvantage as we had to go down and ask the reception to the heating of our food

The room was spacious enough and the bathroom modern and comfortable. They were cleaned every day. There was a kettle with some tea and coffee, an iron, an ironing board, a hair dryer, and a safe - everything one could need. We had the option of taking "breakfast boxes" to go on the day we had to leave before the breakfast was served. A SkyBus stop is located 7 minutes away on foot. The hotel is recognisable enough that we could be picked up at the front door for both trips we booked.

The breakfast was rather disappointing for its price. The coffee machine was permanently broken. The area was generally a bit crusty-dusty. The breakfast boxes I mentioned earlier were convenient but definitely not worth the price we paid. Other than that one member of staff at the front desk seemed rather unhappy to be there and checked us in for one night fewer than we booked, which resulted in our cards and therefore the room getting blocked for us on the last day. Thankfully it was easily resolved.

Great location in the city of Hobart. It was clean, neat, tidy and comfortable. The rooms are quite spacious with necessary toiletries like shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, handwash and moisturiser. I liked the sliding balcony door to let fresh air in all day and then lock up and switch on the heater at night. All good for my purposes

Not sure what to say about what I didn’t like. If you want a getaway in 5 star romance with every amenity you can think of, then no it’s not for you. It just suited me because I was there to see as much as possible of South East Tassie and go back to rest.

My son was absent minded when checking out and left his jacket and a pair spare jeans in the hotel room. He only realized this when on the plane to Melbourne. We called the the front desk of the hotel, and a very wonderful and supportive staff in the Lost Property team helped locate the items and post them back to our Sydney address. My son could not find his lost school uniform items at school that is only 15 kms away, but he has received the lost items from this great hotel from over a thousand kms that far. Such comparison warms us and also hurts. Thank you Best Western Hobart!!

Happy with the location, could walk to shops and if feeling energetic Salamanca and Battery Point. Hotel was on the right side for the attractions we were planning to visit so it was easy to get out of town. Had a lovely breakfast and two evening meals which we both enjoyed.

Really liked the bathroom except the shower splashed onto the floor. It didn't matter which way I tilted the shower head the water eventually pooled on the top of the water barrier then flowed over. I solved the issue by using the hand towel to absorb the water which kept the bath mat dry to step onto.

My room was absolutely fine except, I noticed there was some back ground noise. It sounded like some sort of moter. I was on floor 4, I spoke with reception and they were extremely friendly and changed my room to level 5. However this did not solve my problem, I noticed the same background noise along in the hallway. This would be the reason for not staying there again. However the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the hotel were very good along with the breakfast. Therefore this needs to be looked into for the shake of the hotel.

Maybe a bit of a make over, looked a little tired in places.

Good location, handy to the CBD. Room was basic, but did the job. Bed was comfy. Shower was good. Room was serviced frequently. The carpark is tight, some of the spaces are quite small and there are lots of concrete pillars. I was driving a medium-large SUV. I usually had to get my passengers to get out of the car before I parked because they would not have had the space to do so once I parked. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant. It seemed a bit pricey and had very limited options IMO. Lots of options nearby, two I would recommend is Picnic Cafe and Rod Thai.

Good location and easy walking distance to everywhere in Hobart. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the restaurant serves delicious food in generous portions. There is an on-site laundry which is very convenient. The shower had good pressure and hot water and was modern, and the bed was very big and comfortable. I enjoyed the view from the balcony as well.

The room itself was a bit dated and felt worn around the edges. The bathroom was modern and had been renovated, but the room had not. There is nothing to prepare food with in the room except a jug for boiling water, however the staff can microwave things downstairs for you if you ask.

Plenty of off street short term parking at the front of the hotel to allow easy access when checking in. I had to change my booking dates on short notice but the staff were able to accommodate my requirements. Quiet spacious upper floor room with a small balcony and city/water view. Good buffet breakfast with a decent range of options. Well located near shops, pubs and casual dining options. Secure undercover parking was available on site which was important to me on this visit, I was driving a large ute which was a bit of a tight fit but there were sufficient choices of parking spots that the size wasn't a problem. 11:00 am check out is always appreciated.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

Basic but comfortable accommodation. Very clean and quiet location. Easy walk into the city and markets. Friendly accommodating staff. Buffet breakfast was great and good value for money. We booked last minute and just needed somewhere close by to spend two nights. We were very happy with our choice.

Nothing, everything was great. Only complaint was on our first evening of arrival, an organised group appeared to have booked out a meeting room on the same level as us. They were singing and very noisy. When I asked the front desk team member, he advised they were meant to stop at 9pm (we had checked in around 8.30pm so had been listening to them for 1/2 hr) and that he'd follow up with them. They finally finished up at 9.30pm but continued to talk loudly in the hallway for quite some time. Some more consideration could have been given to hotel guests in this regard.
