The hotel is in a very good location. There are shops, bars, restaurants right in the corner. Also good public connections near, if you need some. The Skybus from the airport stops nearby at the same street too. The room was bigger than I expected and the heating lamps at the bathroom appreciated and needed. It was a nice surprise that besides teabags and instant coffee, there were also some cookies.

The hotel does not have an elevator, so you have to carry all your luggage up to your room. There are several stairs. But I knew it beforehand, so it was a choice I made in choosing this place. There is a bar and a game room downstairs, which cause a little bit of noise, but the bar closes at 22:00, so that was acceptable. And according to the voices, the clientele wasn't too wild :D

The servicing of the room was excellent. Daily service, fresh water milk tea etc for the duration of my stay. The location is near to the Harbour a 5 - 10 min walk.

Initial concern as hotel is above a gambling bar and arcade and as a single traveller slight nervousness at night as you do not go through a hotel reception to access the rooms but a door with a key lock. However it was fine I just had to make sure no-one followed me into the hotel. Single female travellers may want be aware of this fact. The bar below had events on Friday and Saturday nights but I could not hear it from the hotel room and the events finished early in the evening so this did not impact my stay

Great central stay – just as advertised! I recently stayed at the Central Hotel Hobart and it lived up to everything promised. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with shops, cafes and attractions all close by. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable, and daily housekeeping was a great touch. Facilities were just what I needed, including bottled water provided. There was some expected city noise given the central location, but nothing that took away from the experience. A great stay overall and excellent value for such a convenient spot.

The hotel was centrally located just as its name suggests. It is within walking distance of Constitution Dock, the Tasmanian Information Centre, Salamanca Square, shopping and cafes. We stayed during the week and it was quiet, our beds were clean and comfortable and we had a laundry which was very handy at the end of the hallway. Staff were very helpful while we were there. Security is good as you need key access to get to the rooms.

The hotel is up stairs so need to carry suitcases. It is above a gambling area and a bar which has events over the weekend and may be noisier then. We stayed Monday to Thursday nights and it was quiet. The check in desk is within the bar area.

This small hotel is well located and is comfortable for a short stay. Rooms are accessed by stairs and not suitable for people with mobility issues, or cannot carry their luggage. Being an older building, the floors are a little uneven beneath the carpet, particularly the first floor landing. The bed was comfortable. En-suite shower water was hot with great pressure. Tea and coffee facilities appreciated. The AirConditioner worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The curtains allow quite a lot of light in upon day break. Light sleepers may require an eye mask. The window sash cord was broken which prevented the window from staying open to allow fresh air into the room.

Superb central location, right in the heart of the CBD, close to the docks and very close to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Museums and galleries close by plus tour pick up points and the Skybus stop. Hard to beat location. Additionally the guys that managed the whole place were really nice, flexible and kind. I was loaned a dinner plate and cutlery so I could eat my own food and they were incredibly kind when I had a little accident opening the fridge on my penultimate day dispersing a glass of saved wine from the previous evening on the carpet! NB; be careful not to leave anything which doesn't have a screw top in the fridge door... Despite my best cleaning efforts it didn't look quite as good as new, though it was smelling nicely of lavender. I am always meticulously clean staying in all accommodation so this was a big deal for me but the team were incredibly gracious. I left the rest of the carpet cleaner! Downstairs there is a casino on one side of the ground floor and a sports bar on the other. There's a separate locked door up to the accommodation. It's very quiet even when open and all closes at 9pm so it is really quiet overnight. I slept better in this hotel than anywhere in Australia over my previous 6 weeks. The very comfy bed and pillows helped. Great shower. A spacious room and very spacious bathroom. I had a room that was overlooking a side lane off the main road. I never heard any neighbours except occasional opening and closing of doors at a reasonable time in the morning so I think the sound insulation must be very good. Nice neutral decor.

The room is clean and comfortable. Even it's above a pub, it's quiet and the noise is not disturbing at all (I stayed Friday and Saturday nights). The bartenders/receptionists are all kind and welcoming. They were accommodating and allowed me to leave my bag after checking out.

I just hope they'll add brighter lights in the room. I have to pull in the curtain to have enough light.

The staff is really helpful. I came early, and she helped me to keep my bag while i explore the city before check in time. And also she also helped me keep my bag after check out time before i leave for airport. Very close to city center compare to all big name hotel around

Nothing serious tbh, but downstair is pub and pokies place, i can hear the crowd little bit during the day. But nothing serious, and not too loud. At night still very quiet, so Still good value

Facilities were clean and spacious. The biggest bonus is definitely the location - you’re as central as it gets! Had no issues with noise. Bathroom had plenty of space for laying everything out, moving around, etc. and was overall well-designed (no awkward positioning of towel rack, etc.)

Windows faced the street, so I had to keep my curtains shut the entire time for privacy. Bathroom smelt very faintly of sewage, but again, faintly enough to be ignored.

Close to plenty of shops (woolies a block away, chemist across the street, restaurant/bar downstairs, burger joint around the corner, the list goes on) Only 8 min easy walk to the pier (where the night life is) Bar fridge and kettle were good to have for late night or early morning coffee/tea. The bathroom in the room with shampoo, soap, etc. included was good, although the shower is tiny but will do the job, plus can't complain as it's private and good value.

No microwave - if you need one!? Could only get 2 TV channels to work (if that's what you're interested in)
