View, clean, well equipped, in very good condition, short walk to bars and restaurants as well as city centre. Friendly reception staff.

This was our first Tasmania trip, we picked a central location, with a water view, enough space to have our toddler play in the apartment and cooking & washing facilities. The set up made our day to day easy, the location was positioned well for dining, walking to lovely areas like Salamanca & surrounds and easy public transport access. What makes this property was the staff, the view out of each room & excellent housekeeping team.

I’ll be petty and say the other guests were noisy and the noise tended to carry especially over Friday and Saturday nights. In the quiet times you won’t experience that, there just happened to be a group going to a wedding who got rowdy.

I actually really loved it here. They have additional things that most hotels don’t have, such as a washing machine/dryer in the bathroom, dishwasher and they even allowed us to take anything from the mini bar free of charge due to them renovating in a few days. The staff were accommodating and allowed us to check in a bit earlier and check out later. The bed was very comfortable and large.

My only issue is that it was not the cleanest. When we arrived, there were bobby pins and hair left around the side tables & couch. The main things such as bathroom, kitchen and the actual bed was clean though.

The view was lovely we had a tall ship directly outside the window and looked out over the port. The room had everything we needed. It was large enough for my mother and daughter to comfortably stay with me. The hotel provided an extra bed downstairs for my mum to stay in.

The bathroom had a slight smell of urine. And the couch base cushions kept slipping off so it wasn’t very comfortable. I had also told the staff my mother had a problem with her leg and couldn’t walk well and our room was located at the opposite end of the lift which was quite a long walk for her.

We had a balcony room overlooking Constitution Dock so great views. Close to eateries, Salamanca and the city centre, so was able to walk everywhere.

The shower was terrible. You had to have only the hot tap on to get any heat and was low pressure. The room was always warm so we had to leave the balcony doors open a lot and sleep under a ceiling fan to be comfortable. The weather was only about 15 degrees so must be a heating issue. The toilet was also old and kept running after flushing so you constantly had to jiggle to button to get it to stop.

The location is fabulous. Right in the heart of constitution dock, eateries etc. The ambiance sitting on the deck watching the sailors come and go. The apartment is lovely and the hotel staff are so friendly and welcoming. Everything about this place is relaxing and enjoyable. It’s our second time here and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Hobart. Free parking with a voucher from the hotel enables parking within a minutes walk. All flat and easy to get around. Salamanca is a hub for eateries and views next level. Top notch accommodation that suits us perfectly.

Nothing.. we love it

We love the location, right on the water with great views of the harbour, city, Mt Wellington, and the New Year Eve fireworks. This is our fourth stay. We appreciated the bottle of bubbly and chocolate pretzel to help us celebrate NYE. Great to have a washing machine and dryer for the week-long stay.

Shower over bath. The couch could do with replacing as the fabric has pilled and the condition is not in keeping with the standard expected of a property such as this. Parking close to the apartment is a bit of a lottery.

Exceptional location on the marina. The pictures are a great representation of the views from the upstairs room we had. Balconies aren't big but they are all you need. Note the upstairs rooms have stairs to get to the mezzanine where the beds are so you'll need to lug suitcases up there. Good sized wardrobes, ironing board and iron, good hairdryer. Location has great food venues close by. Heartily recommend Hobart Coffee Roasters Cafe just up from the location. Great food and coffee. Staff were fantastic.

We had a noisy group in the room next to us. Sound does travel through the walls and echoes a bit around the building. That was pretty annoying at 11.00pm when trying to get some sleep. The hotel looks like it was built inside an old pier building (could be wrong on that) and so you do get the odd "old building" creak. Not a huge amount of space up top for suitcases but enough to work around.

The room was clean and comfortable and the view out onto the marina couldn't be bettered, especially when the Sydney to Hobart racing yachts started coming in! Staff friendly, all good.

The only slight letdown was that the cooking facilities and equipment were a touch lacking. A small 2-plate hob (but induction, so plus point for that) and a microwave, not a proper oven. If you plan to mostly eat out or just buy ready meals, you'll be fine, but more serious cooking will need some creative thinking.

The location was good. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and had a very good view of Mt Wellington. Front desk staff were also very friendly. The toilet heating system was good, kept the toilet warm in the cold weather.

The toilet seat cover was loose and was not maintained well. The housekeeping for the toilet was also not very clean. There were some stains on the toilet seats, and the toilet floor wasn't swept clean. Amenities didn't include toothbrush / toothpaste set. The corridor carpet looks run down thou, could be maintained better.
