One of the most convenient locations you could ask for. We took the Skybus from the airport and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. It was also easy to get to meeting location for our tours as well. Very happy with that as my mum has knee problem which she cant walk too far and for long. The hotel also has a restaurant which was convenient for those tiring afternoon. We could get dinner from there after a long day venturing out. It was also a short walk to other cafe, restaurants for options. Very clean facilities which was great. Nice and quiet which was quite important for us. Highly recommended!

The bed was a little soft for my liking. But it was comfortable enough. But let's be real, no bed is as comfortable as your own!

Size of the room was huge :), it was very clean, the beds were really comfortable, the shower was great, the lotions and soaps were nice too

Nothing really stood out that was negative. Maybe the heating system is a bit outdated and didn't work 100% all of the time. We visited in winter so it got quite cold during the night and the heating did work, but it stopped for no reason at times. It wasn't a major issue, because we were able to heat up the room enough and I'm sure if we reported it to the reception they would have done something about it.

The room configuration for the 3br connected apartment was great for our family group of 5. Having a full kitchen and laundry was great. The restaurant meals were delish both in the restaurant and for room service. Fantastic location easy to walk and drive anywhere.Parking was easy too. Olive, a staff member of the restaurant and bar was wonderful. Helpful with food suggestions and remembered our food choices three days later.

Loud banging noise above the queen room in room 313. We did report it to reception so hopefully they will investigate as it was loud enough to keep my hubby and I awake most of the nights we were there. Could be loose building material or an animal as it started after dusk and couldn't be heard in the daytime.

We stayed in a two-bedroom connected room. On one side was a one-bedroom apartment, which was joined to a hotel room. Perfect for two adults and two kids. The bed was comfortable, and it was great to have a kitchen to cook meals. It would have been helpful if there were more cooking utensils, but we made do. Great stay, and I would recommend The Woolstore to families with young kids.

It was a little strange that payment for the room was expected on check-in. The parking is $20 a night, so you need to plan for that in your budget.

- Noise. The property faces a very busy street, where traffic noise was loud throughout the night. My room was one of the closest to the street, and the street noise was so loud it sounded as if the window was open. I had to use noise-cancelling earbuds to sleep. - The fridge was nearly full of items that incur a charge if used by guests, leaving very little space for the items I bought. (Since my reservation didn't include breakfast, I had to buy some food and store it in the fridge.)

Especially liked the friendliness of all staff including cleaners. Studio apartment was larger than I expected and more than enough room for two people. Loved the spacious bathroom, with heaps of bench space for sponge bags etc. Laundry in bathroom was wonderful. We enjoyed walking to the docks and to Queens Domain from the hotel.

Minor items: a charging point at bedside tables would be useful. We had to use bathroom or floor points. Minor maintenance needed attention: light switch cover plate and the toilet roll holder were loose. Also the soap holder in shower needs to be placed where it does not hit your back while showering.

The rooms were really spacious and well designed for a family. The best part about it were the housekeepers and staff. We stayed for 5 days and the housekeepers were so lovely to our small children and were very accomodating. Probably went above and beyond really. Even came back to our babies bottles being washed. It was absolutely spotless too. Loved our stay here.

The lights outside the windows were like spotlights and the blinds still let some light in. If that’s all ok whinging about, it means it was a pretty great place to stay.

Fantastic location for easy access to the waterfront - one of our party in particular was of low mobility, and being in the flat section was very handy. The hotel was really easy to get to from outside the city (both sides). Everything was warm and inviting - notable in the middle of winter! Quirky use of the historical structure of the building, in a way that works well. Rooms were spacious and cozy.

There was a lot of noise from the floor above when people above were moving around their room - but to be expected in a hotel constructed within an old heritage building.

The view on 10th floor, the comfort of the King Size Bed, and the space of the room. Room was cleaned everyday for a long term 2 week stay. Hotel has an excellent restraunt and provides room service.

The view came with a price of the noisy 4 lane highway noise. The jacuzzi tub was so large and took so long to fill with water and seemed such a waste of water, which doesn't seem to be an issue here. But, the water heater worked great and the water stayed very hot. The kitchen was equipped with a very small frying pan with no lid, and there was no collandar or baking dish.

2 night stay mid week. Easy to check in and park with pre arranged parking, even though the computer system was down (quite normal for tasmania) the staff were all really friendly and helpful. Room was large and comfortable, and very quiet considering there were a number of tours at the same time. Walked to Salamanca for dinner, and also to the museum. Would have liked to have dinner in the restaurant but did have a drink in the bar which serves small snacks as well. Tip is to book parking in Hobart - this was the most accessible parking we have had, and to book the restaurant if you want to have a nice meal.

I could have stayed a few days longer, but we only had a short break. Would have liked a microwave but the room had a fridge, kettle, and toaster which was more than enough with a restaurant on site we had early shows to go to so we missed out on the times the restaurant was open.
