The interior of the accommodation was wonderful. Very well appointed with everything that we needed for our stay. The design of the building was beautiful with the internal garden, skylights, heated floor and the view of the bay. All added that special touch.

We had asked at the time of booking for a late check out. We were informed that we would be advised if this was possible closer to the time. I had to follow up several times. We were still not told the morning of the check out so we ended up sitting around the airport for an extra two hours ;( Also the washing machine was not working. We called to advise this was the case, and were never informed that the problem was resolved so we could continue to use the machine. Basically a lack of communication from the site manager really is the issue here.

Location. Location Location. Old Bishop’s Quarters was so well located: a 15 minutes walk through posh neighborhood to downtown Hobart, easy Uber to North Hobart with trendy restaurants and pubs, and easy access to major roads for exploring the region. The property was so well maintained and appointed that we felt at home after a day of sightseeing. Clean, modern and all the conveniences you might need on an international trip. We loved the history behind the property and look forward to staying there again.

You can tell a lot of effort has gone into making this cottage so unique and cozy, and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic, with convenient parking that made everything even easier. The check-in process was seamless, thanks to clear and stress-free instructions.

The utility room was definitely convenient, with laundry facilities, drying racks, and portable stoves available for use. However, the room felt like it was in need of a little TLC—some repairs and extra care would go a long way in making it feel as welcoming as the lovely cottage itself

I loved this little cottage! A quiet, private and peaceful idyll which was just what I needed for the week. Blooming roses by the entrance and a lovely little garden were the icing on the cake! On site parking was great - as was the use of the shared washing machine. The owners were helpful and kind- I couldn’t have asked for more.

Nothing to dislike. I could have asked for some extra cooking facilities ( the cottage doesn’t have them) but didn’t really feel the need. Good restaurants close by as well as Salamanca Fresh for provisions!

What a find. This just popped up on my booking.com app when I searched for accommodation in Hobart. It looked quirky from their photos and to be honest, wasn’t sure about how much outdoor space/views there’d be. How wrong. Yes, we were totally secluded but had a beautiful garden to look at and view of the tops of the hills beyond. Quiet, quirky, bathe under the stars if it takes your fancy or bathe indoors. All mod cons…automatic blinds!! We were spoilt! Didn’t want to leave. I hope they have many more bookings.

I really appreciated the historical charm and unique character of the Old Bishop’s Quarters. Staying in a building with such a rich history made the experience feel special and authentic. Plus, the location was great — close enough to explore nearby attractions but still tucked away for privacy. The accommodation felt warm and welcoming, with thoughtful touches that made the stay comfortable and memorable.

Housekeeper’s is a generously sized apartment with a very well fitted kitchenette and two super bathrooms. It is finished to a high standard, and beautifully presented. It made a warm home for our winter visit to Hobart. We were a couple travelling with our 11 month old. Cot, highchair; toys, books, change mat, kitchenware, bibs and wipes were provided - absolutely first rate for a family with a young child. Communication was always punctual and helpful. We have already recommended this property to our Aussie family.

Quirky, private. The roof that opened above the bed made for stargazing. Also the ceiling elevated in the bathroom opened which was fun too, loved showering looking at the tree tops.

Best suited if you have transport. Enjoyable walk (15-20 mins) depending on inclination and fitness into Salamanca area. We were happy to do this a few times but then resorted to Uber.

Central location for the sites we wanted to visit. Charming character features with all the modern comforts. Such a lovely cozy homely feel to the property with comfortable bedding for the end of our busy days. Bonus on the last morning there were a couple of cute bunnies in the yard. We will definitely try to return.

Coming from Qld we weren’t familiar with the heating systems but there were clearly marked instruction which we were very thankful for.

Great location to walk around Hobart. Very cool compact accommodation, with roof that opens over the bed and bathroom ceiling that lifts. Awesome. Very comfy bed, great bathroom, nice kitchen space on outside deck. The laundry facilities were a bonus. Very clear and easy communications with host.

There was really no logical place to put/open our bags. And we pack light. We had to use the chairs for that. Maybe something could be added.
