SO conveniently located and it was VERY CLEAN. Room is basic, but has everything you need. Staff were always cheerful and helpful. We were worried about noise because of the location, but it was secure and quiet at night.

Only sink is the bathroom so you have to do the dishes and get water out of the bath (kettle doesn’t fit under the sink tap!). Can’t open the windows, and we were on the ground floor, so couldn’t really leave the door ajar for fresh air. Also, there’s net curtains, but if you’re on the ground floor other guests walking past can see into your room, so you kinda need to keep the curtains shut all day. Minor things, but worth mentioning.

Broken hook for extra towell and wall hair dryer. Also if main curtain open fir daylight people can see in but nit sure how to get aroubd that..

We did book the superior room, but we were surprised how roomy it was. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was not classy, but it was clean and had everything we wanted. Room 16 was also very quiet. We liked the design of the complex with each room opening out to a central atrium. There was also plenty of parking, much of it covered. The room was good value and the location was half-way between Hobart Central and Wrest Point Casino. We were also walking distance from Battery Point a historic area. Our next visit to Hobart we would stay there again.

The kettle was difficult to fill up in the sink, needed to be filled a cup at a time.

We stayed here in Dec 2023 and this is our second stay. We love everything about this property. Spacious room and bathroom. This time, we were assigned a corner room and it had all the peace and privacy we needed. We slept so well! We used the washer and dryer located next to the reception for a small fee. So convenient! Ample parking lots and food options. Staff we met were all so friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

No cleaning of the room. Only daily clearing of the trash in the room. No body soap provided. Tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Insufficient for the 3 of us. But no worries cos Coles is just a 2-min walk away.

The man at reception (sorry I don’t know your name) was exceptionally friendly and helpful! He even offered to post something for me when I asked where the nearest postbox was! The room was bright and spacious, also well noise-insulated which was important as it backed onto a road. Pretty well-stocked amenities.

The room was cold! It took ages to heat up using the air conditioning unit. Also there were no mugs or glasses despite having a kettle and tea/coffee (although im sure they’d have brought some up if I’d asked!)

The room was very clean, the bed super comfortable, shower pressure excellent, WiFi reception excellent, staff extremely friendly and helpful, the location was 10/10 the pub within 2 minutes walk great meals, drinks, service, friendly, vibe awesome! Other places to eat all within walking distance. The post office , chemist, bakery, Coles , Woolworths all within walking distance. I will not bother looking to stay elsewhere on future trips the Mayfair Plaza Motel is 10/10 on all aspects

I loved everything

Needed to change our booking to accommodate a late check-in and the staff went above and beyond to make it a seamless process, even turning on the heating in our room to make sure we wouldn't be cold upon arrival. The room was spacious, spotless and well-appointed. No noise was heard from other guests or from the main street which was wonderful.

Nothing really but if I had to comment on anything it would be that there was only tea/coffee available in the room and a hot chocolate sachet or two would have been very welcomed.

Nice, cozy place and modern facilities for the deluxe room. Stafff Liz Sumner was very friendly and guided us well for the tour. There are lot of eateries and cafe's that are easily accessible on The Sandy Bay"s road. The walk to the Salamanca market or to the wharf was around 20 mins. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Hobart and stay at The Mayfair Plaza!

Can't really think of!. But there are no lifts, so ergonomically not great for elderly people with arthritis.

Staff were lovely and very helpful - we ended up arriving much later than anticipated and they organised a late check in for us and made the whole process painless. The room was as expected and very clean. Love the indoor plants, and plenty of food options locally. No complaints from us :)

No fault of their own but we were farther from central Hobart than anticipated, but I got a great workout each morning walking up the hills. Again, my bad - and there was plenty of access to public transport if required.

The location of this property is awesome. Everything you need is at your door step and you can walk to the city and the markets. Our room was large which made our stay with two younger children great. Our room was equipped with what we needed for our stay. Our room was quiet and we didn’t notice other guests.

Downstairs parking was questionable but once we worked out there were upper levels to park on it was fantastic. Pretty much parked at our doorstep.
