The location was perfect, a short walk to the Salamanca markets, Harbour and eateries. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, though they were busy and I had to wait a few minutes, the staff made sure I was being looked after, they were warm and welcoming throughout the duration of our stay. The hotel rooms were clean with modern furnishings and we had a slight view of the harbour. The food was pub style food, hearty, generous meals that were fresh and delicious. I would recommend Prince Of Wales Hotel to my family and friends and stay there again on my next visit.

We did have a small leak from the toilet, but staff were quick to respond and sorted us out with another room and a bottle of wine.

The location was excellent. At the end of the short street and we were at Kelly Steps leading to Salamanca Place. In addition, Battery Point is such a great suburb to walk around, seeing interesting historical buildings, a handful of coffee shops and at least 4 restaurants to choose from. Our rooms were newly furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom, although small had all we needed - roomy shower, WC, basin and quality products to use (Occitane). The Wifi was good. No lifts, but the rooms were only on the first floor and the stair weren’t narrow. An added bonus was the private, off street car park. In summary, an excellent and very reasonably priced stay

The apartment was brand new and had everything we needed for a family of 4. The beds were very comfortable with crisp linens and great selection of pillows. Location was walking distance to Salamanca and had options for great coffee and snacks nearby. A great balcony with outdoor seating was a lovely bonus.

This is a pub hotel and so there is some noise from the pub downstairs. We experienced a few people milling around the car park around 10pm on the Thursday night, then a band until approx 1030 on the Friday night. It didn't worry us as we were awake (and the band was great), but if you go to bed early it may impact your peace.

This was a pleasant surprise. The room was spacious and well furnished with a comfortable bed and pillows. Nice new bathroom that is functional and looks good. Everything works and functions as you’d expect and looks great. Free onsite parking. Location is great, short walk to Markets and several cafes and restaurants. The live music was noticeable, but not to the point of being unbearable or disrupting sleep.

Exceeded expectations! For a pub hotel the rooms were incredibly modern and clean, with amazing views of Hobarts hills and mountains. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was so ultra modern that the mirror even featured a bluetooth speaker to enjoy tunes during a shower! Incredible value for money and prime location in Battery Point. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic location just 10mins from Salamanca down Kelly’s steps. Super comfortable bed and great room all round.

Would have been nice to be told about the chain barrier in the car park. We dropped our key in the box as we left the building but you need it to get out of the car park! Cost us $10 but not the end of the world :-)

The room was absolutely perfect👌 Newly refurbished as I understand and totally faultless. The bed was so, so comfortable. Had best sleep in a long while. Very quite. Location is brilliant being only 8 mins walk from all the restaurants and bars in Salamanca Place. And terrific value for money for all the above 👍

Location was excellent with short walk to old town. Good restaurant and off street parking.

Maintenance was needed globes missing from lights. No soap or shampoo provided. Small blow heater inefficient for size of room. This accommodation calls out for promotion as a traditional pub in the historic Battery Point. old historic pictures of Hobart on the walls and a general tidy up could encourage patrons at a higher room rate

Bed was very comfortable, shower was a good temperature. Noise mitigation quite good (barfely heard the band downstairs)

Air conditioning did not work properly, was way too hot. Tried turning it down but did not seem to make any difference. Windows do not open far enough - could not even get a decent breeze to cool the room down.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Friendly locals in the bar. Clean and comfortable room and amenities.

Wasn’t a major issue but the live music on the Hobart regatta public holiday was a tad too loud when sleeping above the pub.
