The Mövenpick staff were awesome from the time we arrived until we left. Very helpful and friendly. When told it was our anniversary, they upgraded us to a room with a view on the 16th floor and there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Perfect location to everything and the room was beautiful ~ Nespresso coffee machine, mini fridge, comfy king size bed and amazing bathroom with all the necessary accessories. The cleaning crew were absolutely lovely too. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and would rebook here should we be fortunate enough to be able to visit Hobart again. Stunning city! We had complimentary breakfast included in our booking. The food was awesome and the portion sizes of the cooked meals were enough to keep us going until dinner. There was also a choice of cereal, fruits, pastries and self serve coffee but we went for the ground coffee which was lovely and strong. A perfect way to start the day!

We had breakfast every morning and a few drinks during the complementary chocolate and happy hours in the afternoon. On many occasions we sat among dirty tables. Not due to the staff being too busy ~ I’ve worked in hospitality and know the most important thing besides great customer service, is a clean environment for customers to walk in to and enjoy. The breakfast staff were more on the ball in this regard, but the afternoon staff did not seem to be bothered. A little disappointing especially when there’s clearly time for it to be done.

Lovely new hotel with great views and very well appointed rooms.

Unable to get reception to answer at any time. Actually had to catch lift from the 14th floor to speak to reception staff and unable to order room service so had to speak to restaurant staff. Reception was always busy and the reception area far too crowded for a large hotel. Despite this staff we’re extremely polite and helpful once you got to speak with them.

We stayed in the Deluxe City View room and were really impressed. The room was exceptionally clean and surprisingly quiet at night. The hotel was so close to shops and restaurants a perfect location. The staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was a highlight. We had the eggs Benedict, which were delicious, and there was also a generous buffet with plenty of options. One unique touch we really enjoyed was the daily Chocolate Hour a sweet treat that made our stay even more special. Overall, a great experience with excellent service, comfort, and location.

Parking was expensive $35 it’s valet parking. Found the alcohol was expensive at the bar.

Fresh as a daisy. Clean and modern. Great views. We enjoyed our overnight stay very much. Had the chocolate afternoon tea which we needed a doggy bag to finish.

Spent considerable time in a short queue at reception. Only one person on reception who was giving good service. There were other staff who seemed senior near or behind the desk whose role obviously did not include reception. So we waited! We had the chocolate afternoon tea which was great. However out affogato did not have liquor with it which we found most unusual. Our tariff included a full breakfast which on balance was very good. However the staff although helpful and attentive, failed to keep the crockery and various food & other items adequately stocked. Some items were replenished after I drew attention to them; Even then not all. We had breakfast at about 0900

Only had the continental breakfast but liked the idea of plated breakfast for the full breakfast but didnt get a chance to try. Small selection but of good quality. Like that you had two coffee machines and the Nestle pods was much better than the single bean coffee machine at the next hotel we stayed in. Great location and beautiful view of the harbour. Heavy wood finish fron t door is much nicer than paint and good sound proofing

No pool. Not a big decsion influencer No hooks in the bathroom to hang things Sadly could not get into the restaurant on two occassions we tried but we had not booked.

Reception staff on arrival and departure Excelent. A big thank you to Reception Manage on arrival as she gave my wife on her birthday a complementry bottle of wine for her birthday 16th January, Many thanks for that. Good size room. Excellent bathroom facilities. Very Clean. Reception staff on departure again Excellent.

Room had no view, looking into a brick wall 3m from our window. Note Reception did offer another room,but smaller with very limited views. Hotel photo on Bookingcom show views, From what I can see, very few rooms would have significant views . Sadly looking from out side hotel, the hotel is surrounded by tall buildings all around except for a limited area, so views at hotel very limited. Plus was. location, basically opposite main Post Office Hobart.

Amazing service from all staff and the amenities were fantastic. I arrived at reception and organised valet parking on the spot within 2-3 mins. We were in our room within another 5 mins. The wonderful ladies at reception helped with an ice pack for my mothers injured knee ( delivered to the room) while i sourced a walking stick from the doctors surgery/pharmacy 2 blocks away, which i was only able to find due to the lovely reception ladies ringing around to find out where i could find one to buy. This kind of service is over and above, absolutely impeccable...and the no.1 reason that i will be sourcing movenpick accommodation wherever available on my future adventures. Tesoro restaurant was incredible to dine at for dinner and breakfast, this just topped of our stay, unfortunately it was only one night, next time i will stay for longer because it was such an amazing place all round..Thankyou to everyone.

Everyone complains about the breakfast in the reviews, but i loved it. Yes, variety could be better, but everything they serve is high quality and very delicious

Actually this hotel deserves the highest rating but i rated 8/10 and i have a good reason for that. We were 2 friends and booked 2 rooms. One of the rooms was on the 7th floor with an ocean view, the other room was on 2nd floor facing a street. When i asked if we both could stay on the 7th floor, they said that there were upcoming guests who wants to stay on the same floor and they reserved the other rooms on 7th floor for them. Like we were less valuable guests? It was a dissappointment

Good Location, super easy to walk to an from main interest points in town. Airport bus stop is a 5 min walk away. Staff was super friendly and quickly acted on any requests (we asked to change the pillows in the room for example). Otherwise, nice room, well decorated and spacious. Big comfy bed. Complementary nespressos and afternoon chockies is a nice touch

Remote control for the TV didn't work properly even after we asked for it to be replaced. Perhaps a bit pricey for a pleasant but mundane Hotel experience.

Hotel room, bedding were all really comfortable. Our breakfast was included great options and buffet. Location is also really good. Located on bus mall in city centre close to restaurants, 10min walk to cinema or waterfront. Savoy day spa next door. We parked at Argyle Car Park $30 overnight. You need to book the higher level rooms for the view otherwise you just see carpark views.

Unfortunately our included breakfast wasn't updated when we checked in and had a few minor issues with thus in the morning. All sorted pretty quickly though.
