I was there was 3 nights, 4 days. The location couldn’t be better, just a short walk to Brooke Street Pier, making it super convenient for exploring. I had requested an early check-in and was accommodated without any hassle. Special mention to Shubham at reception, incredibly sweet and welcoming! The evening chocolate hour was such a delightful surprise and dinner at the restaurant was absolutely amazing. Overall, a fantastic experience and I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hobart.

There is no parking at the hotel (which i believe is the case with other hotels in Hobart). There is valet parking which cost $35 a day which works as long as you leave enough time to organise the car to be brought to hotel. Depending on time of day and how many are using valet it usually takes 20-25 minutes. TV is Foxtel based with no scope for logging into Netflix accounts etc. Can be noisy with bell ringing every 15 minutes from nearby church.

The Mövenpick staff were awesome from the time we arrived until we left. Very helpful and friendly. When told it was our anniversary, they upgraded us to a room with a view on the 16th floor and there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Perfect location to everything and the room was beautiful ~ Nespresso coffee machine, mini fridge, comfy king size bed and amazing bathroom with all the necessary accessories. The cleaning crew were absolutely lovely too. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and would rebook here should we be fortunate enough to be able to visit Hobart again. Stunning city! We had complimentary breakfast included in our booking. The food was awesome and the portion sizes of the cooked meals were enough to keep us going until dinner. There was also a choice of cereal, fruits, pastries and self serve coffee but we went for the ground coffee which was lovely and strong. A perfect way to start the day!

We had breakfast every morning and a few drinks during the complementary chocolate and happy hours in the afternoon. On many occasions we sat among dirty tables. Not due to the staff being too busy ~ I’ve worked in hospitality and know the most important thing besides great customer service, is a clean environment for customers to walk in to and enjoy. The breakfast staff were more on the ball in this regard, but the afternoon staff did not seem to be bothered. A little disappointing especially when there’s clearly time for it to be done.

Lovely new hotel with great views and very well appointed rooms.

Unable to get reception to answer at any time. Actually had to catch lift from the 14th floor to speak to reception staff and unable to order room service so had to speak to restaurant staff. Reception was always busy and the reception area far too crowded for a large hotel. Despite this staff we’re extremely polite and helpful once you got to speak with them.

We had some lovely staff who accommodated our needs. Very central location, love the proximity to the wharf area, salamanca markets and tours

Staff in the restaurant are not as friendly as they should be, restaurant was understaffed and tables were available but not cleared for a long time, not too many options for Gluten Free, my room was also right by the lift so very noisy with people coming and going, also lots of water noises from above rooms constantly heard in my room, also my mini bar was never replenished during my whole stay. You also need toilet brushes in the bathrooms.

The bed and pillows were incredibly luxurious and comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The room was warm and spotless, with excellent cleanliness throughout. The bathroom was very clean and new and modern too. A few thoughtful touches really stood out – the free daily chocolate hour was a lovely treat, and the kids especially loved the free ice cream each day. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better – right in the heart of the city and just a short walk to Salamanca Market. Our room also had a huge balcony, which was perfect for relaxing and taking in the surroundings. The restaurant Tesoro was also delicious.

We stayed in the Deluxe City View room and were really impressed. The room was exceptionally clean and surprisingly quiet at night. The hotel was so close to shops and restaurants a perfect location. The staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was a highlight. We had the eggs Benedict, which were delicious, and there was also a generous buffet with plenty of options. One unique touch we really enjoyed was the daily Chocolate Hour a sweet treat that made our stay even more special. Overall, a great experience with excellent service, comfort, and location.

Parking was expensive $35 it’s valet parking. Found the alcohol was expensive at the bar.

Fresh as a daisy. Clean and modern. Great views. We enjoyed our overnight stay very much. Had the chocolate afternoon tea which we needed a doggy bag to finish.

Spent considerable time in a short queue at reception. Only one person on reception who was giving good service. There were other staff who seemed senior near or behind the desk whose role obviously did not include reception. So we waited! We had the chocolate afternoon tea which was great. However out affogato did not have liquor with it which we found most unusual. Our tariff included a full breakfast which on balance was very good. However the staff although helpful and attentive, failed to keep the crockery and various food & other items adequately stocked. Some items were replenished after I drew attention to them; Even then not all. We had breakfast at about 0900

Only had the continental breakfast but liked the idea of plated breakfast for the full breakfast but didnt get a chance to try. Small selection but of good quality. Like that you had two coffee machines and the Nestle pods was much better than the single bean coffee machine at the next hotel we stayed in. Great location and beautiful view of the harbour. Heavy wood finish fron t door is much nicer than paint and good sound proofing

No pool. Not a big decsion influencer No hooks in the bathroom to hang things Sadly could not get into the restaurant on two occassions we tried but we had not booked.

Room had no view, looking into a brick wall 3m from our window. Note Reception did offer another room,but smaller with very limited views. Hotel photo on Bookingcom show views, From what I can see, very few rooms would have significant views . Sadly looking from out side hotel, the hotel is surrounded by tall buildings all around except for a limited area, so views at hotel very limited. Plus was. location, basically opposite main Post Office Hobart.
