I chose Zero Davey because of its location at the Dock/Harbour and paid for a guaranteed view of the water. The room was fabulous, on the second floor looking at the water and from the balcony I could see the dock, harbour, south towards the Casino, across town and north to the mountains. The room and bathroom were large, contained all necessary amenities including a kitchen, stocked fridge and large, extremely comfortable bed. Eateries of all price-ranges and offerings for breakfast to dinner, from all seafoods to steaks, ice-creams to bars, Chinese to Italian, were a 2 to 8 minute walk away. My favourites this time were Mures, Fish Frenzy and Custom House plus two floating boats selling takeaway (I chose seafood chowder and Bruny Island oysters). Tourist attractions like Mawson's replica hut, seaplane flights, Derwent River cruises (birds, seals and whales), shops, P.O, Fullers bookshop and the sight-seeing bus, plus walking trails were close walking distance. I missed a ride on the horse carriage! next time! 30 min ride in Skybus from airport.

It was sad having to leave at the end of my holiday!

The location is wonderful, close to the dock, restaurants and take-away places, the ferry, beautiful walks and Salamanca area. The unit was large, very comfortable, with big balconies, and was safe, secure and well managed. It was located on the quiet harbour side of the building, and we had no noise. The kitchen was full size with a large fridge, crockery and cutlery. The bedrooms were large and had plenty of storage for our one week stay. The main bedroom had an open bathroom - no door. This may not suit everyone, but we worked around it okay. Because we were two couples, we split into a bedroom and bathroom each. If it was a family booking, I guess everyone could use the "second" toilet, rather than always the one open to the master bedroom. There were laundry facilities in the unit. We'd be happy to stay here again - we had a lovely stay and the location is the best.

The dishwasher didn't work during our stay, and, because we ate out, we didn't discover that immediately. Though, also because we ate out, we could fairly easily wash up some cups and plates. It was going to be fixed after we checked out. I'm not sure if the oven was working, as I couldn't turn it on, but, once again, this was not a big problem as we weren't cooking.

The hotel was superbly located, and the linked cafe is great. The suite was a great size and largely well set up. I asked to change my room/suite and they were able to accommodate me.

The suite shared a door with another suite and I could hear them washing their dishes. I had to stick towels against the bottom of the shared door and the entry door to my suite given the huge gap. I am not sure if this was also why the room was so cold. On a couple of nights I had to sleep with the heating on, which is very unusual.

Very clean centrally located place to stay. Staff were lovely and the room was serviced every day. Some reviews mentioned street noise, it is on a busy road and there is some noise but very good double glazing buffers it and it wasn’t noticeable to us. Cooking facilities are minimal but useful to save money on breakfasts and lunch

There was no fan or window in the bathroom and the sliding door to the bathroom was a bit hard to close completely. Information in the room about recycling facilities in the building would have been helpful.

Location. This is brilliant valuable for money. Right on Constitution Dock and easily accessible from both inbound and outbound lanes of Davey Street. The staff member was willing to indulge my slightly bizarre experience. Even though we could not replicate the issue. The availability of parking was fantastic. Props to anyone providing dimmable lights.

There was some lack of communication in the lead up. I am a slightly anxious traveller when I messaged to confirm our reservation and parking. I received no response. With such limited parking that was an issue. My bathroom was missing it's heat light but that is a minor issue.

zero Davey is in a fantastic position, our apartment right opposite Sullivans Cove and the fishing fleet. very welcoming and helpful reception staff as were the cleaners. we had a daily light clean which was plenty. very quite inside. No footsteps or flushing toilets from above. we felt we were the only ones there. Beautifully and tastefully decorated accomodations. loved it!

There is some traffic noise as it’s on Davey st so a main road. sirens too as the hospital not far away. Once the sliding doors to the balcony closed the noise didn’t bother us. Having said that it is in a major city and central to everything. it’s minor really and won’t stop us staying there again.

The apartment is more spacious than the photos suggested, with well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine, spacious bathroom and comfy bed. Location is excellent, right next to Hobart harbour and 5 min walk to CBD and shops. There is secured parking at 10 AUD per night, very reasonable given how expensive parking rate is at the harbour area. Check-in staff is very efficient and friendly, and the room is spotless. Excellent value for money!

Nothing, we are very pleased with this apartment. Would certainly stay here again in the future. High recommended!

Our 2nd floor studio apartment was well equipped with a beautiful view overlooking the Wharf. The Hotel is within walking distance of the CBD with parking facilities within the complex for an additional daily rate of 10 dollars, bargain. As space is limited, book early. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and arrived within minutes when we couldn't operate the washing machine! Would recommend

The only negative was some traffic noise but sound proofing was good and by the second night it didn't really bother us.

Convenient to most city tourist attractions. Hop on/hop off bus right outside. Airport shuttle easy 200mt walk. Close, easy walk to restaurants, Salamanca markets. Washer/dryer in room was a bonus after a week of travelling

Reception is not 24hr. You can arrange key collection, so no real drama there but as I was leaving before reception opened, I was asked to leave my door card in the room. This meant I couldn’t get access to the lifts & had to use the stairs. Lucky it was only 1 flight & I was physically capable

Excellent central location by the harbour. Stayed in one of the ground floor apartment rooms and it was a great size with separate equipped kitchenette and large bathroom with a new washer/dryer combo - really appreciated that we could refresh our clothes prior to travelling onwards to our next destination. Apartment was spacious enough for the two of us and very well presented and clean. All the staff were super helpful and very pleasant. Information given to us for the after-hours check-in process was super clear and concise. Will definitely be very happy to stay again for future trips to Hobart.

There is no safe in the room. The sauna and mini-gym set up across the other side of the 2nd floor car park is unusual.
