The breakfast was good value for money and a great choice.The staff in the dining room were very friendly and obliging.

I had booked the accommodation months in advance, but was not happy when our friends were allocated a much larger and better positioned room than ours. The reason I was given was that there not many rooms available as the hotel was being renovated.I feel if you are paying the same tariff you should have equal accommodation standards.

Loved the location, the style and the staff. We were given an upgrade, so that was kind of the team.

TV was very dated and could only watch certain movies at certain times of the day,almoat pre recorded. Not helpful for us as when back from a day out adventuring or back from meals you had not much choice when having down time. Was a very small TV also after arriving from a new hotel. Not a major issue and would not prevent us from staying there again,however could do with upgrading the TV. The lift is slow, wewould take the lift up,and stairs down each time. Not a complaint, was good exercise!

Beautiful historic building. Loved the vibe, the music, the art, the decoration and more importantly, the staff were fantastic. Very helpful, gave us so much information about Hadleys Hotel and assisted with upgrading the room. Great location as it is within walking distance to everything. The room was cosy, it was as if we went back in time. We had a great time.

The Tv is outdated, would have been good for the nights we wanted to stay in. The only issue we had was how loud the street was/ people leaving party locations and being able to hear the yelling from the street.

Pride in the hotel's heritage was reflected in all aspects - from staff to decor. music/ambience, notes about history and invitations to join in cultural and historic aspects of hotel. IT WAS EXTREMELY CONVENIENT AND EVERY EFFORT WAS MADE TO MAKE THE CAR PARKING A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY AS EASY AS POSSIBLE. A key feature was the thorough cleaning by daily staff of our room and the replenishment of used items. Sitting in the Oyster Bar was like a trip back to the 20s...from the leather chairs right down to thoughtful extras such as the book on history of cocktails.

This exceeded expectations and will remain a preferred city base for Hobart.

We recently spent three nights at Hadley’s Orient Hotel in Hobart and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel itself is full of historic charm, with its beautiful architecture and elegant interiors creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights was the lovely bar area, where we enjoyed drinks while listening to live piano music on both Friday and Saturday nights—a perfect way to end the day. A special thank you to Mila at concierge. He is a true professional—friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. His thoughtful recommendations added so much to our visit, and we truly appreciated his outstanding service. Highly recommend Hadley’s for anyone wanting a unique and welcoming stay in Hobart.

What a charming hotel. Sandeep on reception was an absolute treasure. From the minute we walked in and wanted to leave our bags, she was welcoming and helpful. We were able to check in and receive a call when the room was ready. We picked Hadley for the history and vibe, loved that there was the art gallery at the hotel, which was awesome. Rooms were great, bathroom was well catered. Really loved the little touches of the Hadley paper and the decor, it was a wonderful vibe. There is music on the weekends too, so if you're an early sleeper - you may need to factor that in!

Unfortunately the bed was way too soft for me and I was quite uncomfortable the first night. The next morning I asked if anything could be done, thankfully Sandeep was able to help with that and gave us another option - absolutely stellar response and way it was handled. Thank you, Sandeep! I really appreciated this greatly. Would recommend that you check to have an appropriate bed if this is an issue for you. There are some stairs to some parts of the hotel, so this may also be something to consider for mobility.

I like the overall vibes of the hotel. Like stepping into a very classic hotel where everyone needs to be on their best dress. Its old but holds a lot of character. I love that all the staff we have enountered were nice and approachable. Our room and other common areas were clean. We like the little balcony overlooking the atrium. The place is just walking distance to salamanca place and there's plenty of cafe's and restaurants/shops nearby.

The only thing that let us down was that they charge for water. Its not complimentary at all. Its actually the first hotel we've stayed at that doesn't provide water. Its disappointing as i feel like its something that should be complimentary in a hospitality business.

A beautiful heritage hotel . All the staff , whether at reception, breakfast or household are so helpful and friendly. Very comfortable beds . Breakfast is plentiful. Parking is off site but only about a five minute walk away.. Harbour , restaurants museums market are all close by

On our first night our room (404) was beside a noisy outside air vent . When this was brought to the hotel’s attention the receptionist immediately arranged for us to have a different room

The reception staff are excellent. Very approachable, knowledgeable, and happy to provide excursion ideas. The room was serviced daily, always very clean and tidy. The wait staff were as a rule very kind and happy to assist. The atmosphere is good, nice and quiet. A great place to relax at the end of the day

The waiter on the weekend prioritised fixing the computer over serving the guests. I was asked twice to stop whilst the staff member focused on the screen.vThe other staff member was very busy trying to get to everyone in a timely manner. I felt sorry for her. It was as if the waitress was working on her own

The room was a little smaller than we expected but the beds were comfortable enough. The rooms internal door opened up overlooking a semi-dining area so that gave it a nice airy feel. Room was clean and had the nostalgic feel of days gone by. The continental breakfast offered good variety. Ate dinner in the bar restaurant one night and the food was lovely and tasty and value for money. The location was excellent and within walking distance to the Saturday markets, shopping mall and wharf areas. The reception staff were very friendly and only too happy to assist.
