I stayed in a quiet large room with a kitchenette (sink, microwave and fridge) and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a large bath tub. There are nice views of houses above on a hillside. From the motel's entrance there are lovely open water views. Good cardio exercise to walk up and down the hill to/from the motel from/to the CBD. (There are busses too.) Very helpful staff.

The paintings in the room were not of my taste. I just took them down and put them back up before check-out. I put white bed sheets over the two comfy chairs in my room and liked the look of them better that way.

The queen rooms and the 2 bedroom apartment are both very spacious. Decor is dated, but that didn't bother us at all. Beds are very comfortable. Full size fridge in the apartment and studio are great for self-catering. Location is walking distance to the city.Good communication from the motel. We arrived outside reception hours and this was not an issue. They provided the code for the key lock prior to our arrival.

There are hotplates in the apartment and studio but no full size oven. Not a concern to us, but might be if you were wanting to do more than basic cooking.

Great location, helpful staff. Loved the interior design work of the rooms and they were so much more spacious than expected! The bathroom was also fantastic and had a great bathtub bug enough for two, and the hot water for the shower was melt worthy. Appreciated the history titbits of the property, too. Felt like I was a royal!

Very minor thing - we couldn't find a plug for the bathtub! We asked the staff for one and they found one, so it was fine in the end. :)

Loved the 70’s decor. And the roomy bathroom - some may say old-fashioned but it suited us very well. The wall heater and floor heating in the bathroom kept us very cosy. Lots of lovely hot water in the shower.

We would have liked to see a little more kitchen supplies. We had to get our own tea towel and Chux wipes to assist with washing up. These should be supplied if guests wish to have facilities to wash up. It was great to have tissues and soap products in the bathroom but spare toilet paper would have been appreciated. Tea /coffee/ sugar /milk needs to be sufficient for at least 2 cups /per person/per day.

The location was excellent, just a few minutes' drive to the city center, Woolworths, and Salamanca Place. The view from the balcony was spectacular—offering a full city view from one side and Mount Wellington from the other. There was plenty of parking, and the area was quiet. Overall, great value for the price.

The only drawback was that no water, toothbrush, or toothpaste were provided, though you can easily buy these at the nearby Woolworths. The heater wasn’t very powerful, which could be a bit uncomfortable in colder weather.

Close to town but far enough away to be quiet with good views. Bath big enough to soak in. Shower hot and strong. Clean and tidy. Great price.

Pillows too hard but we'd brought our own so didn't need to use. Heater in room not great and no way to turn up but there was another in the cupboard that could be used as well. Noisy birds in trees by the street and we were in the closest unit.

An old grandma of a motel: been around a while, seen a lot, and there’s no pretending. It’s simple and affordable, but has plenty of charm. Loved the history of the place. The room was large and warm, and you could easily see the lingering grandeur. Close to the city at an excellent rate.

This is not a dislike : Just be aware when booking there is no views from the rooms

Location was great with views over the city and river. Restaurants and cafes only 1.5 km away. Rooms clean and comfortable, with good beds. Staff friendly and helpful.

Main problem was that due to problems with Wi-Fi . It was not caused by the owners but rather the provider Telstra. The only problem was no guide to how to use the TV and as it was older no streaming was available except by my laptop

we stayed in the 2 bedroom house at 12 Faraway Street. had everything we needed as a family of 4. so roomy and close to everything whilst being out of the busy streets. A IGA within walking distance for all the nesessitys and the best pizza shop I've eaten at across from that.

nothing - wish we booked for more than 2 nights only thing I can think of would be maybe a dryer to go with the washing machine

Accommodation was central to everything.room was spacious. Not bad for value. Very quiet.

Old and run down. Very small bathroom. Bed very uncomfortable Shower over bath and very poor water pressure. Big Crack in the wall. Beautiful heritage place but unfortunately rooms show their age.
