We have nothing but praise for the BIG4 St Helens. Our three night stay including Christmas Day was exceptional! Our immediate family stayed as well and the grandchildren spent all their time playing in the well appointed play area that caters for all ages. It was the little things that made the stay more inclusive with Santa giving lollies and icy poles on a hot afternoon, scavenger hunt to win a holiday. Everyone adhered to the quiet time policy which was lovely, even including the dogs (Hahaha)The Park was exceptionally clean/tidy. Thank you BIG4 St Helens 💖

The best caravan park I have been to. The facilities around the park were great! Something for the young and old. Free icypoles for the kids and movies going in the kids room. Gold coin donation pancakes ( everything from ice cream to sprinkles ) the day we left which gave my daughter the chance to say goodbye to the kids she met, and a great playground. A real kids caravan park!
Our room, though was one of the lower end cabins ( the only ones left for our summer stay)but we knew that, were missing a few things ( also charging quite a bit for what it was ($250 for a budget family cabin ) . it did say there were no doors but did state curtains which they didn't have making privacy hard. Cabin was a little dirty ( mainly walls ) and utensils which did mean we had to clean a little first.

I stayed in a bunkhouse that was very comfortable but without a window. You have shared bathrooms in another bunkhouse nearby. There is a communal fridge outside at the BBQ area. The area is quiet and beautiful. Into town you need to walk 15min. There are coffee shops and restaurants. You can go for a walk at the bay.
If you are travelling as a backpacker it would be great to have the possinility to get a hairdryer

Good outdoor and indoor camp kitchen. Stayed in bunkhouse, which was fine, lots of storage and a TV.. Showers and toilet nearby. Oven took a while to heat up, but was fine. Outside hot plates great. Nice area with couches, books, DVDs and large TV.
Lighting back down steps from toilet to bunkhouse was poorly designed so it shone into your eyes for last three steps so couldn’t see. Inside kitchen hot plates not so good. Poor internet reception.

Gorgeous surroundings and great facilities - love that it was dog friendly
Some of the laundry facilities weren’t working and we didn’t get clean towels or anything after our initial arrival (were there over a week) so we had to clean them ourselves. Hardly a drama though

The room was very comfortable and the staff very kind and helpful. The camp kitchen was large and convenient to use as it was very rainy while we were there.
The ‘container’ accommodation had a leaky door so it was difficult to keep the floor dry just inside the door during the torrential rain we had.

The park catered for a range of options. I enjoyed my cabin and was able to spend time with my daughter and family who were in a caravan. My cabin was clean and well equipped . The bed was comfortable and the styling was lovely.
I would like to see a swing set and slide for the toddlers who stay at the park. The jumping mattress was excellent but I felt the facilities lacked something for the 18 months - 3 year old age range.

The space was very comfortable and clean it was good meeting other residence there. The staff were very accommodating and fixed the air conditioning promptly
a little noisy ...but considering it was a family orientated accommodation it was acceptable and all was quiet by 9.30pm

Even though the place was full of kids there was no unnecessary noise. In fact we couldn't hear them at all. I liked the offer of a pancake breakfast which we didn't indulge in. The kids finishing up their breakfast in the cooking area looked satisfied. The toilets and shower were very close to our room. There was a large common room and a large kitchen area plus a fire pot in the middle of an entertainment area.
Lighting above beds didn't work and main light too bright. As we were only after a place to sleep with our eyes closed, it didn't worry us that there were no windows hence no view. It was a backpacker room after all. The town was booked out and being able to get a room for the night saved bringing a tent or a van

The beds were super comfortable and warm, plenty of cupboard space, good heating. The place is beautifully landscaped, and kitchen facilities excellent.
It was stormy and hard to get to the toilet in the middle of the night, especially because there was no lighting above the granite steps from our cabin to the toilet block.
