The sea view here is amazing. I couldn't stop taking photos sunset and sunrise. Great birdsong all around in the eucalyptus trees. And I could see a little group of seabirds on the rocks off the coast and Freycinet Park off in the distance, and I saw some bunnies in the green lawn right in front of the cabins. I like the layout of the cabin -- very clever use of space with the bed elevated behind the kitchen with a view (on one side) of the sea and a window also in the shower (but you can close the curtain if you want privacy). Chairs for sitting on the porch too. I appreciated that there was a shared laundry machine in the common area ($4 in coins per washer and dryer session and the staff gives you change). Each unit has its own designated parking spot right at the door.
Hard to think how to improve this place. Some people may like the stark/minimalist modern interior design in gray and white. I personally find it somewhat cold/plain, so I think they could jazz it up with some additional artwork and colorful pillows and blankets. In cooking, I don't believe there was any oil, so I had to reheat a quesadilla dry in the pan, so it would be good to have some oil on hand and maybe some cinnamon for people's oatmeal. People should note that you can't get to Freycinet park from Swansea by just driving on a road near the beach in 10 minutes. It takes close to 50 minutes to get to the park due to protected land, so just take that timing into account if you are booking a boat tour. Well worth it.

A fabulous spot right on the beach (we got a front beach facing cabin). Cabins were modern and well equipped and nice and clean. We had two balconies to choose from to get out of the wind or chase the afternoon sun. So relaxing to look out at the water. An easy 10-15minute stroll to town for meals etc. Swansea itself is a pretty seaside town with some good options for food and a nice relaxed feel to it. We really enjoyed our time there, a good base for local wineries and heading in to Coles Bay for our cruise experience. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would have been happy to stay longer if we could have to just chill out.
Internet was an issue but only because I was trying to work remotely. For normal purposes it was fine. Other than them using Starlink, thats the downside of rural Tasmania for connectivity I think. Cant think of anything else that was a negative, fantastic place and highly recommend!

The view from the chalet was fantastic. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was better than we had thought and we could easily walk in to town for breakfast and dinners.
We had requested a cot for our baby, and a few days before arriving I had even reached out to confirm it was available. Upon arrival the cot wasn't in the room - usually not a problem, but unfortunately we didn't realise that reception closed at 5pm (not 6pm mentioned in "the fine print" on here), and since we only arrived just on close there was no one at reception to help and the only phone number provided on the office door said it was only to be used for maintenance emergencies. We decided to call as we needed somewhere for our 6 month old to sleep, thankfully the staff were very quick to bring one.

The view from the waterfront cabin was stunning. In March, the sun and moon rise directly in front of the cabin... waking up for a cuppa to watch the sun rise is a must, and we were lucky enough to be there on an almost full moon, so it was shining over the water at night. The sky glows a beautiful pink over the water at sunset too. The cabin itself is basic but has fresh clean towels and bedding, kitchenette with a microwave, stove top and fridge, and a smart TV with all the streaming apps on it. We appreciated the little milk and tea/coffee and the shampoo/conditioner/hairdryer provided. The lady at the front desk was lovely and gave us tips / maps / advice, and we did everything she told us to do! Having your own parking spot at your front door is also great.
There wasn't much going on in Swansea or many food options (the small IGA closes quite early and isn't huge, so I would recommend stocking up on groceries in another town on your way). The good weather, wineglass bay, devils corner winery, and view from the cabin is what made our stay here! There is a lot more going on and more food options in Bicheno, so it's worth driving/staying there if you can't get a waterfront cabin... I read someone else's review that said "the best thing about Swansea is this cabin" and yep agree haha. 2 nights was the perfect amount of time.

Absolutely loved staying at the Swansea beach Chalets, beautiful views toward the hazard ranges on the Freycinet Peninsula The chalet was clean, cosy and very comfortable, I especially loved the privacy … each one designed so as not to over look the other. The fixtures and fittings were like staying in a high end hotel. And there was everything you needed to prepare a meal I even had some lovely ladies pop in in my second day to ask if I needed anything. Looking forward to staying again next time I visit Tasmania
The only small issue I had and it’s literally not bad was the shower hose not ideal for a short gal as it was quite high

Lovely place with nice little chalets, comfortable, with a common pool. There's a beach down the path from your chalet(s). Staff was friendly and can help you plan the trip around Swansea. Also was great to be able to cook in the chalet!!!
Very few options for dining in Swansea, and the two best ones require a reservation ahead of time (probably at least one week!). Please be aware & do reservations ahead of time. We didn't - but it wasn't an issue for us as we could cook in our chalet ;) which was great!! (you can go to the Morris Store/IGA in Swansea, it's very close by!) Note it's still quite a drive (50-60 km) to get to Freycinet National Park.

What an incredible stay!! Too be honest, we were a little apprehensive when we pulled up and had to go through the holiday park, but this honestly did not make a difference to our stay at all. The chalets were beautiful! All brand new, right on the water so we had a stunning view, and impeccably clean! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We were blown away with the view. The lady on reception was also super helpful and friendly. We had a lovely chat with her and she recommended lots of great things to see and do in the area as we are from interstate. She also told us about Biji, a local restaurant pop up close by. We were able to get a reservation for dinner and it was amazing! Thank you so much for the tip!! We can’t wait to come back one day.

We stayed in a two-bedroom chalet with a stunning view of the ocean. Despite the chilly weather, the house was warm and cozy, with additional heating lamps in the bathroom for extra comfort. The kitchen was very well-equipped, even including a dishwasher, which was a great convenience. The chalet is perfectly located, with shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to all the local attractions. A special mention to the very hospitable host, who provided a map and explained all the beautiful places to visit in the area.
The only downside was the poor Wi-Fi. The connection was unstable, which caused some inconvenience.

We recently stayed at Swansea Beach Chalets with our 2-year-old daughter, and it couldn’t have been better! Our beachfront chalet was a dream – waking up to the sound of the ocean and having the beach right at our doorstep was perfect. The chalet was cozy, comfortable, and a great base for exploring. We loved taking our daughter to the nearby Natureworld Wildlife Park and found everything in Swansea within walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to give us the best recommendations for dining and local activities. We had a fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

The chalet's location is exceptional, with sweeping views of the bay. They were built with privacy in mind, as you couldn't see the neighbouring chalets. They were very comfortable and spotless. We were so impressed with them and would highly recommend to everyone. At first, I thought they may have been on the more expensive side, but worth every cent. We will definitely stay there again...only longer next time! The staff were also very helpful and friendly.
There was nothing I didn't like.
