Location: 5min walk from Eighth Street and its restaurants. Yet outside busy centre. "City Gate" is the right name (and clue). Breakfast included (unusual these days): milk, cereal, toast, jams in room waiting to be consumed.

It was a cold night and, as so often with traditional motels, the cold crept in unless one kept the heater going all night or wrapped oneself into the blankets provided. This is not a complaint to the owners (I know that fixing this can be v costly and unrewarding). Just saying...be prepared. On warmer days, the private outside sitting area would have been delightful.

Friendly staff. We stayed for two nights, and the room was serviced and restocked each day. The manager was visible on site, and she was very willing to meet our needs and make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were modified, especially the toilet and shower, which consisted of very good water pressure and temperature. The supplied continental breakfast was an extra bonus that we appreciated, and the room was quiet with good lighting. A comfortable bed allowed us to have a good night's sleep.

There is little to nothing that we did not like about our accomodation.

When I arrived I was made to feel very welcome. It was a very cold day and being told that the heating in my room had been turned on in anticipation of my arrival was a bonus. After a long drive being able to go to into warm surroundings made such a difference. The large fridge stocked with fresh milk for tea and coffee, breakfast items and fresh water were appreciated. The courtyard was private and if it had been warmer would have been a lovely place to sit and eat breakfast. The hosts were so helpful with information and very friendly

After a long days drive, Sue welcomed me and showed me to my room. I really appreciated the personal touch with exceptional customer service On entering the room it was large and exceptionally clean. With breakfast supplied, it will now be my choice of place to stay when staying in Mildura. There was nothing not to like about this motel, everything was exceptional. With many years in the hospitality industry running our own accommodation business Sue and her team deserve every accolade. Motel provided plenty for a nice continental breakfast. There's a small microwave to heat things up. Plenty of cutlery and plates and the motel cleans the plates during their daily housekeeping which was nice. Beds and pillows are clean and no bed bugs! The motel is right across the road to the Murray River foreshore reserve with playground, running track, lovely view of the houseboats and lots of birdlife. Owner and wife were very friendly too.

The carpets are a bit old, the mesh door was a bit stuck, the carparking was a bit tight.

Excellent value for money. The bathroom was very modern, clean and seemed new. The hotel had a pool for those inclined to use it. Although the breakfast was simple, ie cereal, toast/jam/vegemite, it was sufficient to help get you on the road for something more substantial later. The park over the road next to the Murray, was nice for a quick walk before driving off on your journey. The park had a cafe which was quite popular and clean public toilets.

Not that I used the courtyard off our room but it was next to a walkway and so not very private when someone walked by. Due to it's convenience, it was just off the main road but the noise didn't bother me too much despite me being sensitive to noise.

Great location close to centre/river. Check in was super fast and easy with lovely staff. Full size fridge/freezer. Aircon was on for us. Room was quite spacious and soundproof.

Driveway is steep and beware if you have a tall vehicle or trailer. Parking is 45 deg angle in front of rooms and exit is out the back alley. Mattress not all that comfy. No view to car park (no windows on entry side of room). Sliding door windows see into enclosed patio so it could feel a bit closed in.

Was greeted by a lovely lady that was very friendly and accommodating. Was shown to my room and was asked if I would like some fresh bread included with my breakfast (not just me, but for my +1). Although breakfast was included at the standard rate (I wasn't sure what to expect) there was certainly a variety of different cereals provided, as well as fresh milk, a carton of orange juice in the fridge, small jams, butters, vegemites, coffee, tea, sugar, etc, all provided. It was nice to not have a big breakfast for a change and to have something simple. Facilities were adequate for a short stay and the bed was certainly comfortable. There was a lovely chirping of birds in the morning whilst drinking my coffee outside. Certainly, no complaints from me! 100% great value for the price paid and would definitely stay again in future.

The view from the external area was quite limited (but I assume this is due to security and privacy reasons).

Easy to access , friendly staff , nicely updated bathroom and small outdoor area to sit . Provisions for breakfast was handy & appreciated. Large fridge & TV definite bonuses. Location good . Overall good value for money 🙂

Nowhere to properly wash your dishes ( other than bathroom sink) no dish cloth or teatowell provided either. Exiting the carpark ...can only go one way but should have a sign to say that ( not obvious it's only one way til you come to a dead end) Only minor things and wouldn't stop us from staying again

This place felt like a home. No faux-chrome plastic bling or badly installed floor to ceiling bathroom screens, no square-meter shower head array that barely produces pressure but looks good on instagram, no holes in thin walls, just solid brick, well functioning appliances, bedding and lighting. There was plenty of space, pillows were not clapped out, razor thin paper bags and the staff were really accommodating. Breaky was there when we checked in and we were not hungry when we rolled out in the morning. It made me very happy to know that places like this still exist.
