Wow, what a beautiful property. We had a two bedroom chalet and it was unbelievable. Smart and modern design, a full kitchen, a private hot tub on a private terrace and a private sauna. The two bedrooms were upstairs and were mirror images of each other. They both had stunning Austrian views. The breakfast basket that was delivered each day was over the top. Fresh breads, eggs, fruits, juices, charcuterie etc. Parking was in a garage under the building. Also the restaurant was excellent for dinner. Everyone understood english. Austrian customer service is beyond excellent. We had a great swim in the hintersee as well!

Wish we had booked a longer stay.

Lovely location. Convenient parking. One very sweet young woman checked us in. Good breakfast overall (except for the hair baked into my bread.)

Not particularly clean. Lots of flys in the chalet when we arrived and I spent the first evening trying to swat them all. There were dirty plates put away in our kitcen cabinets with caked on food, as if they'd just been hastily rinsed, and there was hair baked into my bread at the restaurant breakfast. Noise from hallways that connect the chalets was very loud if we were in the main living area: I don't think there is any soundproofing at all in the main entry doors to each chalet.

We loved the location. We were traveling every day, so the location added about 20min to the journey usually, but the peace and beautiful nature were worth it. Our room was amazing and had everything we could need, it was stylish and quite spacious. We had chilled water in the fridge, big closet and walk-in shower - and the towels! So soft and absorbent ♡ Breakfast was always nice and filling, there were meaty, vegan and vegetarian options, great pastry, hot and cold drinks and fresh eggs and bacon on the spot. Though we didn't travel with a dog, we appreciated, that dogs were welcomed and nicely accommodated by hotel staff. Also we recommend visiting the Hintersee lake, it's smaller then Wolfgangsee, but it also has less people there and is set more in nature.

There was no pool in the wellness area, but I suppose it wouldn't make much sense with that many lakes around. I just automatically expected it.

We asked to leave our bikes four days in advance and our check-in was during the night, the staff was extremely helpful and catered to our needs.The chalet where we stayed is completely new, the room was furbished in great quality. The beds were comfortable and the sound isolation was great. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty.

During our stay there were pretty noisy roadworks in front of the hotel that lasted from 7h in the morning until 17h in the afternoon. It would be great that someone pointed this out while we were booking our stay, as the roadworks were scheduled to last from April until August.

Very nice facilities for pretty remote locale. Rooms nicely decorated. Restaurant open with good food (best breakfast we had in 18 days in Europe). Most staff were very friendly. Location next to hiking/biking trails great.

Not really DAS Hintersee issue but there's really nothing else in this small town (which we knew). If you want nature, hiking, mtn biking, this is a mecca and lovely. If you're looking for eating options and/or activity variety, look elsewhere. Only other thing is while most of the staff were SUPER kind and nice, a few of them seemed annoyed that Americans were staying at this mostly, Austrian/German resort. This is purely perception/vibe but something both me and my wife perceived. Lastly, not a complaint but be aware, we took teens into the spa area. Be forewarned its VERY european. We're not prudish but I could see others not being aware of the open/coed nudity.

Beautiful accommodation in beautiful nature. The room was very spacious, beds really comfy, the breakfast was delicious and the free access to the spa area with saunas and whirlpool was a wonderful bonus which I had forgotten about, so it was a really nice surprise. About half an hour from Salzburg by car, so ideal if you want to explore the city but also the countryside. Would definitely recommend!

There is a church right across the street and unfortunately, our windows were facing it directly, so when the bell started to ring every morning at 6 am, then 7 am and then every 15 minutes, we had a very early wake up call. So if you're not a morning person, I highly recommend bringing some earplugs.

the location is very far from Tourist places. because I wanted to visit different tourist places in Austria. There is no center and shop in the village . value of money .

Breakfast was really good. They make great omelets to order. Location was out of this world. I was recommended to take a hike the next morning and we walked to a lake and a snow cave with a beautiful waterfall. We could have continued to hike for days in the area.

Wish we had planned to stay longer…

The place is very beautiful with the surrounding mountains, the hotel is very comfortable and the staff is very friendly and inviting.

The only downside is the church right text to the hotel with very loud bells, which made sleeping in impossible...
