Excellent value for money, comfortable, great location, good breakfast, quiet, very close to bus stop (4 mins walk), 5 mins walk to lakefront promenade and 5-6 mins walk to free swimming spots (though unfortunately didn’t get to swim during my stay).

Bathroom looked to be 20 years old, pretty worn out, could definitely use an update. Also there were 2-3 black hairs in the shower and the sink from the previous guest… not ideal. My room faced a main road so lots of traffic noise with the windows open, but the soundproofing is perfect with them closed. And no laundry service (there is one directly across the road but they’re not open on weekends).

The room was lovely with plenty of room. The breakfast was delicious! The staff was super friendly. And the maid staff hung up my husband and daughter's clothes that were wet from their morning run which was very thoughtful.

The room was a little warm due to the outside air temperature, but we just opened a window and were fine. The only thing strange was that the shower head was in the middle of the tub wall instead of on the end which made it a little weird to navigate. In the end, it was perfectly fine though! Some magnets to keep the shower curtain attached to the tub would be great if they could add that!

Breakfast was good, not the best, but good for the hotel this size. Room was very nice and comfortable, bathroom was nicely maintained, fridge (empty) was available for free. There is also a small parking lot for hotel guests. Location itself is in the center of the small town, which is very practical, while the town itself is small and very quiet.

On the first day, the dining room was crowded and there was no bread left temporarily. Some really minor issues were that the elevator was tiny (again, no surprise in a hotel this size) and the TV could have been bigger.

Such a beautiful village - any place in town is a good location since it's so small, but this one is close to the bus stop and cable car, while being off the main road. The hotel was super clean, has a ski town lodge kinda vibe and a plentiful breakfast that was included. It was the only place left in town to book, and was definitely a pleasant last resort. We didn't realize there was no fridge in the room, so had to throw some food away, but then saw there was a shared kitchen in the morning just FYI. I also really appreciated the little touches, like the Mozart balls on the pillow :)

I'm not sure how the price compares to other spots in town since it was literally the only place available on our dates, but in general felt a little high. I imagine if you're booking well in advance you could find a better deal. But we still loved our stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The owner was informative and helpful. My room was cozy and inviting with a balcony to sit outside. For breakfast a lovely array of meats and cheeses, croissants and breads including fruit juices and various types of coffee were available.

It was 32'C during my stay. Some form of air conditioning would have been welcome.

Early check in was super convenient and location was great. Room was a bit pricey but it was great quality, bed very soft and warm. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and my bus ticket to Salzburg was included in my stay. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone coming to St Gilgen.

The location was absolutely perfect. Everything in easy walking distance Parking available close by The room was superb. When we checked in the man at the reception saw my mum is in a wheelchair and changed our room to one with a shower. Very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was a true feast with opulent choices. I can truly recommend this place. It was exceptional

Excellent hotel. All staff friendly including the cleaners. Room was perfect with a lovely view. The room was spotless. The shower was exceptional, incredibly powerful. Breakfast was lovely. Not sure how people can moan about this as there was an excellent selection of continental foods. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the lake side. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable, quiet and ideal location ( 5 min walk to bus stop), few minutes to the town square. St Gilgen is a beautiful town full of fine buildings on the edge of a lake. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good buffet breakfast. Rooms have evidently had recent high quality refurbishment and there are some lovely period items in the corridors. We only stayed one night stopping enroute back to Salzberg from Bad Ischl.
