I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious and cozy, providing a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of exploring the city. To top it off, I was pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a higher room category, which added an extra touch of luxury to my stay. The hotel's location was also perfect, situated in the heart of the city with easy access to all the attractions and amenities. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its great staff, comfortable rooms, free upgrade, and excellent location.

While my overall experience at the hotel was exceptional, I would like to provide some feedback regarding the coffee machine. It would have been preferable if it was compatible with Nespresso capsules. Additionally, as I was in Austria, I had anticipated being greeted with Mozart chocolate, which would have added a touch of local charm to my stay.

PROS: Fantastic location on the right side of the river so that you can look at the castle. Walk to all the sites you want to see in the old town on both sides of the river. Rooms were spacious and beds and linen were top!. Toiletries were also from good brands. Breakfast at the rooftop is a dream - restaurant staff provide world class service!! Our room had been recently painted and the smell bothered us upon check in and so front desk apologized and immediately moved us to another room. 5 Star customer service!!!. CONS: parking lot is not onsite so you need to park in front of hotel for loading and unloading and then drive a couple blocks to it. (I guess it couldn’t be perfect for such an old location!)

Our room and bathroom were quite spacious and comfortable. We had a dog with us and food and water dishes were provided. The breakfast buffet was very good and could be enjoyed at the terrace restaurant, with a view of the whole old town and the castle as a lovely backdrop. The position of the hotel is excellent, being situated directly by the bridge over the river, connecting the new and old towns.

We know there is not much the hotel can do about it, but the noise from the street behind the hotel, particularly in the evening, was quite disturbing and went on until after midnight. Then, at about 5.30 until about six o'clock there was always a lot of noise from the town workers removing rubbish. Luckily, with the windows closed the noise was minimal and the AC was good. But we would have liked fresh air some of the time.

Room was delightful with a panoramic view of the old town, the river and the last of the Winter snow on the Austrian Alps. Very comfortable room and breakfast was brilliant. Loved our stay here. Should have stayed longer than two nights.

The only issue was the room temperature which was far too warm for our liking. Tried to adjust it but to no effect. This has been a familiar issue for us in European hotels.

The hotel is beautiful, it’s one of my favourite spots to frequent when I visit Salzburg. I always head to the rooftop bar for drinks, with its spectacular views of the Altstadt. This was my first overnight stay at the hotel, but not the last. Amazing staff: friendly, attentive and all round warm and welcoming, ready with a glass of bubbly on arrival. I celebrated my birthday and was pleasantly surprised with a personal, handwritten card and chocolates on my bed in my room. Just a wonderful start to my birthday.

Absolutely nothing. This hotel is amazing!

The rooms were nice and clean and the location is very convenient. However, staff is unfriendly. Check-in was supposedly from 2pm onwards, when we arrived at 02:45pm our room wasn't ready. We asked if we can get a table at the rooftop bar while waiting, staff first didn't want to help in arranging such a table and ask us to just sit in the lobby. Only after asking a third time someone managed to get us a table at the rooftop bar where we could get a drink while waiting for the room to be fixed.

Good staff, good location, nice and well equipped rooms with amazing views over the city!

Unfortunately our stay was ruined as we picked up our car left in the hotel parking and found the front badly scratched. Such a shame after a beautiful stay. Though the hotel tried to help find who had done this, we are left to repair the damage on our own. We suggest that the hotel puts up a proper barrier gate and camera to protect the hotel guests vehicles left in their parking during their stay.

Warm welcome with Austrian candies at the reception, love it! Excellent location, modern rooftop bar that provides an unique view of the fortress, Salzach and part of the old town. The hotel staff and the bar personnel are very polite and professional, fitting in the needs of the customers. The room was modern ( especially the lighting, and the colors of the furniture); the double bed was very comfortable; I love the natural cosmetics by St. Charles ( shampoo, conditioner, shower and hand gel, body and hand cream);

The bathroom set does not offer a hygiene kit like a shower cap, toothpaste, toothbrush . Slippers are on demand.

Location and roof top restaurant

No coffee machine in room and charged us 12 euros when I went to restaurant to get 2 coffees! Only hotel in all our travels coffee was not free! The roof bar was reason we picked this hotel and it was closed for a private party. When we asked for 2 wine glasses to instead have wine in our room, the front desk gave us one champagne and one wine glass. Curt and indifferent staff.

Room was amazingly modern and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially the bell man. Location and view were unbeatable. Near eateries , bars, clubs ,etc. Loved the stay there. Would definitely be back.

The gym facilities were very disappointing. 4 equipments, one cycling machine, one pedalling , one function unadjustable pulley stand and dumbells up to 10kgs only. Breakfast spread only cold cuts and bread. Additional items such as eggs were chargeable. Visiting the cafes nearby for breakfast was more worth the time. Not for the physically challenged as there were steps up to the hotel entrance and 1 elevator with slightly faulty buttons.
