Everything about the hotel was excellent. It's just a ten-minute walk to the old city center, and it's close to everything you'd want to see. The room was huge and comfortable, on the top floor, with a fantastic view of the castle and river. The staff were super friendly and really helpful, with great local knowledge. The concierge was especially amazing, helping me book restaurants in the hotel and elsewhere, and even arranging for my online coffee order to be delivered to my room. My wife recommended it after staying there three years ago, and we had a memorable time.

We noticed a few changes since our last visit. The hotel no longer offers welcome chocolates. Also, our room was missed for cleaning one day because the 'Do Not Disturb' light was accidentally on. We're not sure how that happened.

The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the old town. Breakfast is really good in this property, so is the coffee and there is a breathtaking outdoor seating overlooking the river. Perfect for sunny days. The building is old and quaint, which is comforting. The concierge services here exceeded other properties. We wanted to visit the “Cinderella” castle but tickets were not available online. He go us the tickets and arranged for a suitable transportation. The staff take extra steps to take care of patrons of the hotel.

I felt the decor of the room was quite dated and in need of modernization.

Great location and nice ambiente. i am visiting the hotel whenever i am in Salzburg. has a lot of the flair of a hotel that has been part of this city for decades althoug totally renovated. the staff was amazing in helping us in every need. the view to the river is amazing

electrics are a problem.. not working as they should. tried for ever to switch off all lights without using the master off switch because when i did use it i could not charge my phone. push of a button to the resutl takes about 8 sec. so you never know. needs something better

The breakfast was marvelous! Our first day, Andrea showed us around the buffet and offered us additional courses that were prepared in the kitchen (like Eggs Benedict, omelettes, etc.). The selections were extensive and the food was delicious. My wife admired the jars that are used for cereals, nuts, and other toppings and she was given one to take home. This was one of the best breakfasts we've had in a hotel and the service was outstanding.

The property is in the middle of the heart in Salzburg, very nice old school hotel , rooms are very cosy and service excellent, there is Sacher caffè very chic place , and Sacher Grill with most delicious wineries schnitzel! And the hotel inside is completely fabulous 🌹

I would like to tell that for 5 stars hotel will be nice if the give like small gift for remembering , like chocolate Sacher or something ! And definitely need to ask if we want to have water for traveling , specially if you are with car , and definitely no charge for car parking , This is no gone for 5 stars hotels !

In the heart of Salzburg, a real gem!! Everyone was so friendly at the Sacher Hotel, everyone was so helpful!! We felt like home!! They were always with a smile and so willing to help us! We tried also their massage ! Highly recommended to try it!! We will definitely coming back!!!!

There are no AC (air conditioning ) at the fitness room. So, It's very unpleasant to exercise without any ventilation! I felt sick. And when there were more than 2 people the quality of the hot air got even worse. Maintenance is urgently needed! This does not match the quality of the hotel.

Location is wonderful! Just few walking steps to all tourist places; Mirabell garden, restaurants, shopping area. Salzburg HBF main train station is very near (5 minutes by car, 18 minutes walking distance). Staff were very friendly and arranged everything for us; transportation, tickets, etc. I highly recommend staying at this hotel; not just in Salzburg, but wherever it is available in any city specially in Vienna!

Everything exceeded my expectation!

The location, facilities, and staff were all amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying here. We had a 4th floor suite with a balcony that was incredible.

The only complaint I had was that the bedding duvet covers were 2 twins as opposed to 1 single king size sheet/cover. That was a bit odd and I found it kept coming off while I was sleeping.

Our stay at Sacher was wonderful. Stylish room in a beautiful building located on the river and on the doorstep of the old town. From the doorstep of the hotel , you can walk or cycle down the river (Southerly direction best) as the hotel has bicycles. Or of course you can walk to all the attractions of the beautiful old town. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect.
