Our family suite has two rooms with two double beds. It's very good for parents with two kids. The kitchen is very nice with enough cookers and plates. The big table for six people is good for dining and playing cards. Breakfast is not included in our room rate, but 15 euro for adult and 10 for kid is very reasonable for the breakfast is very good. The surrounding is beautiful with gorgeous mountains and green forests. Walking after dinner is very enjoyable in the small village. The lady at the reception desk was very kind and helpful. About 15 minutes after she finished work and drove down, I locked the key in the room. After getting the call, she drove back immediately to open the door for us. There is a very good restaurant beside it, and there are several restaurants in the nearby town.
Nothing.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Great location for seeing Eagle's Nest and Documentation Center.
I read a lot of negative about the lady at the front desk. It was experienced by us too. We inquired about a late check in a few days prior to arrival. She acted like it was a huge secret and made us wait for the late check-in procedures via email at 3PM the day of our visit! It brought our family, that was traveling with the possibility of no internet, a lot of anxiety. I think she enjoyed the control of not telling us how to check-in after 6PM and it was completely unnecessary. The facilities, buffet, room were all great though. The front desk lady must go.

Hotel is very nice and clean. Room has many clever details which made our stay with kids very cool (equipped kitchen which you can close as a cubboard so kids can't access drawers, toilet and bathroom are separated rooms, big shower, two sinks, two bathroom heaters, extra wastebin for diapers - you can't imagine how parents appreciate these things).
That's really only thing which surprised me negatively but I understand everyone can have a bad day - when we checked out one day earlier because our son got sick and I came to reception to return the entry card the receptionist first sentence was: "We won't refund you for the cancellation". I guess the cancellation policy is clear enough to everyone who can read and I didn't ask for any refund, just came to check-out and return the card. So I kinda didn't get this offensive speech instead of: "Hello, sorry you are leaving. We hope everything was fine here.."

This hotel is an absolute must if you are visiting the Eagles Nest, which you can see from the hotel car park on a clear day. It is a five minute drive from where the buses and ticket area are for the Eagles Nest, hence our stay here. We received a lovely welcome from the lady on reception who couldn't have been more helpful, plus we met a lovely gentleman on check out. The hotel is airy and clean. We had chosen an apartment with balcony and mountain view and this was on the first floor (you could not see the Eagles Nest from this apartment as it faced towards the car park, but had stunning mountain views). The reception does close at 8 pm, and you must be at the hotel prior to that time. Once you are booked in, your key card will still give you access in and out of the building through an outer door in the center of the building, at ground level, which then gives you stair access upto the first floor. When reception is open, you have lift access to both reception and breakfast area (you can still take the stairs to outside and around to reception if you don't like lifts, but take your key card for reentry). The breakfast is self-service and plentiful, and there is a choice of hot and continental dishes. Also, you can purchase bottled beverages and some dairy products at reception. We also pre-booked a guided tour a couple of months prior to visiting the Eagles Nest, and this was through the 'Discover Eagles Nest' website, and we were so glad we did. It certainly is worth checking them out as you receive more in-depth knowledge about the building and the area regarding WW2. It also gets extremely busy at the ticket office and bus area and by booking the tour gave us a guaranteed place to see it. This hotel was a great choice for our stay. We highly recommend it for the area, and also, the site of the Berghoff is a few minutes' drive from here too if you want to see that area.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. Very short drive to Berchtesgaden (less than 10 minutes) and even shorter drive to the parking lots where you join the Eagles Nest tours (about 3-4 minutes). Given our family was there primarily to visit the Eagles Nest, the hotel location was very convenient for us. I'm not sure how you would easily get around without a car though. We opted to pay for the on-site breakfast and it was delicious. A bit pricy but worth it. The hotel is very clean and everyone was very nice.
Nothing! It would have been easier if our rooms had been on the same floor but it was fine and didn't impact our stay in the least! (I'm glad they were in the same building though - different buildings would have been more of a challenge.)

Definitely I would return if I ever come to this area again!! What a pity that we just stayed for one night :( The apartment is very spacious, very well equipped , quiet and comfy. I really like the kitchen, it has oven, 4 stoves, dishwasher, pans and pots, all kind of cutlery, you just need to bring your own condiments. We cooked meals and enjoyed them with Starry nights on the balcony at night and breezes in the morning. Some driving needed to go uphills though totally worth it. Free parking
The check out guy made us wait until he finished chatting with someone else.

This is a modern hotel, with elevators and a reception desk that's stocked with snacks. The attendant provided us with bus passes which allowed us to ride for free to/from the town (taxi is about 10 Euro). Our room had a decent-sized balcony and plenty of room to stretch out. The place was also quite clean.
The sites don't tell you this, but it's quite remote! It's easily 15 minutes by taxi; 20-25 by bus. Additionally, there is only one restaurant in the area (next door), so you'll want to make reservations ASAP. We had to take the bus into town and ensure that we finished in time to catch the last bus back.

the property people were kind enough to accommodate my kids, though I kept saying them that I had entered details of number of person while booking. But booking.com did not considered children information while booking.
Issue on booking.com side. While I entered the number of person, I clearly indicated 2 adults and 2 child. When booking happened, it was written that child cost is included in the booking, however total number of persons were only 2. I had a understanding that kids are included since I gave the details. But when i reached the property it turn out that kids were not included. There was 10 to 15 minutes of discussion convincing the property people.

I booked for 2 nights. They gave me wrong room key. It was late at the night and nobody to help us. We were lucky we find the room which that key opned it. But the number of beds were less than our need and I slept on the ground. When I complain about the issue, staffs in reception just laughed and did not appologise. I told them I do not pay for that night but reception told me I have to. So I asked her to talk to manager, and manager agreed that I dont need to pay for that night. Then we moved to our correct room and everything was perfect after.

-Spacious apartment with excellent facilities, coffee machine, kettle, kitchenware, etc. Elevator is also available. -There’s a bus station near the hotel, approximately 5-minute walk. (Check bus timetable! ‘Cos I think it’s not frequent.) For travelers who drive (like us), parking space is spacious but driving to the hotel is quite adventurous ‘cos it’s climbing up the mountain with 2 narrow lanes. -I really recommend to add breakfast, it’s valuable! Breakfast is excellent and delicious!
