This hotel has the feel of an old Bavarian hotel with wood panelling and hunting trophies on the wall and is at the end of the main streetof Berchesgaden The breakfast is very good and plentiful. Our room was big and comfortable with a balcony with views over the mountains and town. We used the indoor swimming pool but not the sauna. There is a bar which is open at night. The hotel offers guests a free bus pass which is very worthwhile and it is in easy bus travel of the major tourist spots. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Too many steps so this is not suitable for anyone with a disability.

Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is excellent. The view from the breakfast room is spectacular. Also, there's a room on the first floor where you can relax which has the same amazing view as the breakfast room. Breakfast was decent. Bed was fairly comfortable. The hotel has lots of character. I've stayed here in the past and liked it enough to return. I find it relaxing. Didn't have time to use the indoor swimming pool this time, but enjoyed it last time. We liked that there was a wash salon right next door so we could do our laundry and there are lots of good restaurants close by.

The breakfast room had no margarine so I had to request it each day due to milk allergy. Would be nice if they had some in the breakfast room. Shower drained a bit slowly. Could use a few more parking spaces. Everything else was great.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were lovely and the views over the town were exceptional. Breakfast was excellent with a very good choice. My only complaint was that mine and my Son's rooms were on different floors when I had asked for them to be close together. I would certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again when we return to the town. Thank you.

The only thing I was not happy with is that our rooms were not close together, not even on the same floor as I had requested and I was given no apology or reason for this. It is also a fair distance away from the train station if you have luggage.

Hotel situated on a main street into the town. Traditional older style building which has probably been added to along the way. Our single rooms were comfortable but a little dark as rear facing. View from the bed room was an emergency staircase but the view from the dining area was superb, with a panorama of the town and the Watzmann peaks. Breakfast was one of the best with a brilliant choice and frequently refreshed. There is no dedicated parking as such other than three bays allocated across the road in a public car park. The parking was not a big problem as it was free at 1700 hrs until 1000 hrs the following day (might want to check that for changes). Staff were very helpful as I needed to visit a local doctor/clinic and they arranged that for me. Location for the hotel is very good. old town centre within easy reach. Lots to see and many pubs, restaurants and ice cream or coffee parlours.

My hotel room view wasn't the best but reflected in the price. Not a show stopper as we were out before 9 am.

Convenient location.. easy 10 min walk into town.. if traveling light, easy walk from backside of train station , up metal stairs to a hillside pathway. If you have luggage then take the bus up the hillside. Good morning hike along salt slurry, soleleitungssteg, gives great overview of town down below.. several paths lead down into town as well.. generous breakfast and they provide a to go bag so you can pack a pastry for snack..

Room had a varnish odor.. it was distinct but easily remedied by opened the patio door.. (The door unlock is attached to hinge ) Like most small hotels, you need to pack your own shampoo and conditioner so be prepared .. not a big deal

Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Berchtesgaden was a wonderful experience. The room was comfortable, well-heated, and spotlessly clean, with fresh sheets and a stainless bathroom. The best part was the breathtaking view of the mountains—waking up to that scenery was an absolute highlight. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of choices, covering everything one could ask for. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel itself is a classic Bavarian-style house with a lot of history, which adds to its charm.

The only minor downside was the sauna and pool area, which could use some maintenance. There were signs of mildew, broken tiles, and peeling paint, which slightly took away from the otherwise great experience.

Amazing location in central Berchtesgaden.

This property is ranked lower than others because the bathrooms are outdated. The hotel is one of the oldest in the city and the location is perfect! Super clean as well.

The view from the breakfast area is amazing. The hotel is old and a bit quirky, which I liked. My room balcony was also great and you can't fault the place for cleanliness. The hotel reception staff went beyond their duty in terms of friendliness and giving me some advice for visiting local tourist attractions. The location is excellent, as the old town is within walking distance, as is the train station and adjacent bus station. The nearby museum is also great. I'd stay again for sure. I strongly recommend that you give yourself plenty of time in Berchtesgaden, as the weather will not always be good and attractions can close early. Overall it is an amazing place. Absolutely beautiful.

I didn't like how the hotel charged me a city tax upon check-in. They should include that in the hotel bill, as they requested that I pay with cash. I had happened to have cash on me, but many tourists will not. I liked everything else about this hotel, but if you are expecting a modern hotel then you could find things to moan about. The hotel is near 200 years old. If you struggle with stairs, then you will not like this place, as it is too old of a hotel to have elevators everywhere.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They owned the laundry facilities next door which was very convenient. The hotel gives change and sells detergent, and there is good wifi in the laundry place! Buffet breakfast delicious. We got a cute room with balcony and nice view. Building older but very clean. There is a bus stop across the street to take to the train station to transfer to other busses to see the sights - if you don’t want to walk down the hill to the train station.

There was no restaurant in hotel, however there are some down the road. Walking to the hotel is all uphill! The shortest way to get there from the train station is to go out the back. Go across the tracks and follow the well worn gravel path up. When you get to the top, the hotel is on the right. This is the best and fastest way to go.

I liked the service provided, the workers were very friendly, the breakfast was very complete and the room was very comfortable.

The internet should be improved, as it is slow and the signal is constantly dropping. Also what I did not like is that you had to climb a hill practically to get there, because although there is a bus, it does not leave often and there is not much information on how the connections are, since Google maps does not indicate the option of taking a bus, only the option of walking.
