No kettle in the room or tea making facilities. British people like these.

The location was fantastic, very close to the sites, restaurants, bars, perfect. The breakfast was excellent, the usual continental type with cold meats, cheese, lovely fresh rolls, and eggs cooked to order. The room we had was ideal with enough room to spread out a bit, and although on a very busy pedestrian precinct was very quiet ensuring a good nights sleep.

The only thing we didn't enjoy was the smell coming from the bathroom drain, it really did seep into the sleeping area if you didn't close the bathroom door. I'm sure a visit from a local plumber could rectify it.

The location of the hotel is outstanding. You can walk to Old Town within 5 minutes. The street the hotel is on has shopping, restaurants/pubs, church/cemetery, antique and charity shops, etc. Behind the hotel is the base of the Kapuzinerberg Mountain. There is a church up the road to the mountain where you can sit and watch the sunset over the city. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, and I had dinner in the restaurant once and it was delicious. The hotel is extraordinary, charming and a welcome experience from staying in a chain hotel.

I stayed in room 301 by myself. It was a nice room but there is no A/C, only a floor fan-A/C unit. You can open the windows, which I did. I think this particular room would be hot in the summer. It was clean and comfortable for a mid-May stay. I would stay in this room again but probably not in the summer months.

A clean, comfortable and quiet hotel with exceptional staff and located in the centre of the old town. Everything you need is on your doorstep. The train and bus stations are also about 15 minutes away on foot. The food at the hotel's restaurant is superb. The breakfast is a little limited but acceptable if staying for about a week. Although all members of staff were warm, friendly and helpful, Maja stood out as she went beyond her duty to assist the guests. If I revisit Salzburg, I would seek out the same hotel to stay there again. The hotel is very good indeed and loved staying there.

Location: 5minute walk to Mozart Birthplace, Getreidegasse, Mirabell Palace and major bus stops connecting to Hauptbahnhof, Airport, Hellbrunn Palace, Salzburg Zoo. The Hotel is wonderfully appointed, spotlessly clean and the staff is exceedingly accomodating and knowledgeable about Salzburg's environs, attractions, transportation options. My single room was basic in furnishings, but perfect for a single traveller staying for 5 days. Breakfast was enough to get you going in the morning. Not lavish but all nicely presented. The hotel restaurant served me perhaps the best steak I have ever eaten. Highland beef sourced from their own herd.

What a great small family run hotel and amazing restaurant. We had a comfort double with an amazing xtra bed for our daughter. Although the room was compact (as expected) we still managed to have our cases all stowed away! The view over the snow covered roofs to the fort on the hill was lovely and the wi does could open to let some brisk winter air in. The bathroom is freshly renovated and spotlessly clean as is the bedroom which has a homely feel with a nice rug and deep coloured feature wall. The heating worked well allowing you to adjust it to suit! Breakfast was continental with delicious breads, meats and cheese as well as fruits and yoghurt, juices and coffee machine. We had the best steak at dinner in their restaurant (make sure to book) the beef comes from their own farm and was absolutely delicious as was the duck with red cabbage which was two whole legs! Anywhere else in the world you would get one! Lovely man who we suspect was one of the family served us and told us all about the cattle, he was funny and engaging and made the night fun! Would recommend this hotel, in a pedestrian zone with an abundance of cafes and restaurants and just over the bridge from the Mozart house and various other attractions.

Maybe tea/coffee could be provided in the rooms for me, but I just sent my husband down to the breakfast room to make one and bring it back up!

Location excellent and appreciated staying in the old town of Salzburg, was very convenient for the medical conference I was attending at the conference centre, easy walking distance and so near to the beautiful Mirabell Palace and Gardens :)

Slightly difficult to check in after 7 pm, as took several go's to scan passport before accepting, so somewhat anxious about this, even though we were well informed that there would be a digital check-in after hours and I was phoned when at London Gatwick to remind me (although already knew this).

Location is perfect for walking the old city. Staff was wonderful. The place is charming. We came for the Christmas markets and I have to say it was our favorite. Other Christmas markets throughout the area are so crowded it was hard to move around. Also, if you get a chance, be sure to eat at St Peter Stifkulinarium restaurant at the foot of the fortress.

There is no way getting around that the hotel is off a pedestrian street. This is good and bad news. The good is that there is no real traffic except for the delivery trucks. If you have a lot of luggage the hotel will give you a code to lower the bollards to get your car close to the hotel. Otherwise you have to park in the garage a little bit away. No big deal.

Very well located hotel in the pedestrian area of Salzburg. The reception, bar and breakfast staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Our breakfasts were really tasty and had a good variety. We had a lovely clean and quiet room to return to after days of sightseeing and out of rainy weather.

The mattresses were not as firm as they probably once were and should be replaced. A kettle in our room would have been nice to enjoy hot drinks when staying indoors.

The location was wonderful. So much right around our hotel, easy walking to tour meeting point and across river to Old Town. The breakfast was a nice selection, even better the second day when we found out we could order eggs. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

The room would not cool down and while the windows opened wonderfully, the street below was extremely noisy at night with people and early, early mornings with garbage trucks etc. If the windows were closed it was quiet but then the room was way too hot to sleep.
