The rooms were large 2 bed apartment. Lovely deck on 1st floor which was a surprise which is separate from rooms so every guest can use. Nice to have a hot chocolate in a chilly morning. Coffee machine and tea selection was great.
The shower took forever to eat up but we were on top floor. The water in shower leaked through the door crack and maybe if you enjoy sleeping with the windows open you might find it a little too noisy from local cafes and street workers in the morning But with windows closed the double glazing worked well.

Emaculatley clean and the bath and shower were perfect. Shame no breakfast apart from crossionts. But there was free tea and coffee and cake on afternoon. There's an honesty box( jar) for if you hae the crossionts or any alcohol out of the fridge. In an excellent location but the many many bikes are an hazard waiting to happen, you're lucky you don't get knocked down, but this is not the hotels fault. Shops and restaurants on the same street as the hotel. I've read complaints about hearing the traffic ( not much at all) and the Church bells next door,we only heard either when we had the windows open which is to be expected. I think some just like to moan. I would definitely recommend this hotel, its not far from the river,Cathedral and fortress in the old town.
Not a proper breakfast but it wouldn't put me off.

The location was superb. Great access to an assortment of places to eat (loved the wine bar around the corner!) and shop. Walking on Linzergasse was very pleasant. It was easy to get to other beautiful areas of the city from where we were. The room itself plus layout was wonderful - large and with privacy. The bedroom facing out into the cemetery was so serene with the trees and birds. The bathroom faced the main pedestrian way through the historical district - the Linzergasse - and this too felt private but fun and lively. Nice big windows and comfortable bedding. The area downstairs for coffee/tea/breakfast - lounging - was very nice. We went out for breakfast but appreciated and utilized the tea/coffee machine. Finally, I love the shared deck access facing out into the cemetery. It was serene and restful to sit out and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
The towels were good enough but could have been a bit fluffier and larger. The water left out in the lounge area for us to drink was too little. The pitcher was empty or nearly empty each night we'd stop for water on our way up to the room, after dinner in town.

We travelled as a family of 4 with two children. The property was perfect for our stay, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The property is an older style boutique property in the old part of the city. It is beautifully decorated with many original features. The hotel is well located close by to two Spars, lots of restaurants and shops and a short walk to the river and attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We didn’t realise that the property didn’t have air conditioning but the staff brought us fans and the large double windows kept the property cool.
Nothing. Great property with friendly staff

The location is great. Silent, pietonal, beautiful old town street. The interior of the main area is charming. There were fresh apples every day and delicious cake in the afternoon, next to the coffee machine.
These are some negative things that in the end didn’t count much, because I still enjoyed the stay and felt sorry to leave: The small room was really small, with the view obstructed by the white church wall, so that it felt, like there was no window (room 42). The TV was very slow, like 5sec to change between the 3 available channels (ORF 1-3). The shower gel/shampoo and cream were smelling like old, but my hair still looked great afterwards, since I didn’t bring some (so maybe it was not so old?). There is no classic breakfast, there are just little croissants, always just few of them on a plate, which gives you the impression, you can only have one out of respect for the other guests. there is coffee and tea.

Unlike large chain hotels, Amadeus is rather compact. The fact that there's no overnight desk staffing nor in-room telephone is a bonus in that it can keep the costs down. Access via a key card allows entry all night long. It's location is safe along a pedestrian zone. Self-serve coffee and tee are available 24 hours a day, and the small, self-serve "bar" provides beer, wine, and soft drinks on the honor system. The staff were friendly and assisted me in finding a specialty shop for my dog.
For my purposes, there were no downsides. The room was simple, and very quite comfortable.

The location on Linzer Gasse was perfect since you only need to walk down to the bridge to cross into Old Town Salzburg. Bathroom was large.
Their price for breakfast for 1 small croissant and 1 small croissant filled with a slice of ham, cheese, lettuce and tomato was too expensive. Definitely ask for a fan when you check in.........you will need it because of lack of A/C and on cooler nights they raise the heat which you have no control over in your room. Opening the windows is not an option because of bugs flying in.

Nice comfy room in a very clean, cosy boutique hotel in a great location in the city centre. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Felt very traditional and provided for a very relaxing stay. Bed very comfy. Excellent shower and bathroom. Well heated room and nicely decorated and furnished
No bar or restaurant. Pictures on website a bit misleading as looked as if there was, but the bar and restaurant shown were at one of the hotel owners other properties quite a distance from the Amadeus. Wasn’t a massive issue many as bars, cafes and restaurants very close by. Hotel is next to a church and woken up everym morning at 5.30 by a serenade of bells. Also rang again every 15 minutes from that time onwards. Actually, I found it quite nice, but the 3 people I was away with found the noise a nuisance.

The most memorable thing they did was to allow us to check-in as early as 11 AM. This was after I've explained that we specifically visited Salzburg for the Sound of Music tour and my sister and her husband travelled all the way from California. The tour would have started at 2PM and all we requested was to leave our luggage at Reception. Special mention for Zeynep as she understood our issue and once we got there, she announced that our room was ready. That was very kind and so considerate of the hotel. There were three of us in the party and we were given a family accommodation with 2 rooms. I had 2 four poster beds in my room and my sister and her husband had the room with a queen sized bed. We're very happy with our experience and I might come back with my cousins next time.
Nothing much. I live in UK and it's standard for hotel rooms to have a water kettle. This may not be the norm in Austria because we're allowed anyway to help ourselves with the coffee machine at their small breakfast area. Hot water is also available and there was a selection of various teas. Overall I'd recommend this hotel for its cute ambiance, lovely staff and excellent location.
