Only 5 minutes walk to train/bus station. It’s very convenient for travellers without a car. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good.

WiFi is available only in breakfast room. I heard from other guests who stayed in the building where the breakfast room is located can get wifi access. Unfortunately I stayed in another building, had to be at breakfast room every evening as my roaming plan is not big enough. The internet access limitation is mentioned in the property description. It’s my fault I did not notice when booking it. I guess this is not an issue for many travellers as most guests are German domestic.

Immaculate rooms. The lady at the reception is very welcoming. The balcony with a stunning view is the real attraction. Nice looking exterior.

Considering the high price for a night's stay, I was expecting a few things, but they were not there. 1) No Wifi 2) No Tea/coffee kit at all. It's a gesture and doesn't cost the hotel much to provide a couple of coffee sachets. But none given 3) The room is very small, after the bed there was hardly any place to move around. The tea table and two chairs are almost attached to the bed. 4) Again considering the price for the room, I was expecting a bit nicer custom toiletries like a small bottle of shampoo, a nice small square piece of soap properly organized in the toilet. Instead, you get A&O hostel like general purpose large black bottles fixed in the wall, one beside the basin and one in the shower. :(

Brigit, the owner, is a lovely lady , who did her very best to make us welcome and chat to us in english language. The room was nice and spacious, good shower, lots of hot water. Instantly too. The owners are very easy going and kindly accommodated bikes that we had hired. The breakfast is very good and great coffee machine

I missed a coffee machine or kettle in the room. And the internet is very variable - best outside, when you can pick up wifi and renew every 30 minutes. But , heck, you are up a mountain in a country location and this isnt a deal breaker. Just enjoy the location and the culture.

We loved our stay here. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the location is beautiful. Very close to the main centre, but situated in a quiet section surrounded by bush, where you can hear the river flowing. Everything was clean and well maintained.

There was nothing we didn't like, just a couple of things to bear in mind. It was quite hot when we stayed here and there is no fan or air conditioning, so it could get a bit stuffy. It is also next to a train track so occasionally you will have to deal with the noise of the train going past. Otherwise, we would happily stay here again.

The peaceful atmosphere, especially around the serene Königssee lake, provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The room was spotless and conveniently located just a 6-minute walk from the train station. I’d recommend this place, the breakfast was delicious, and the service from the staff was exceptional.

one downside was the transportation system. Unfortunately, public transport stops running after 18:00 or 19:00, which made evening plans a bit challenging. But you can also rent bicycles and if you have a car that's a plus. But I could go to a lot of places using the public transport, so it's not a big problem if you plan everything on time.

Birgit and staff were available to answer questions and make suggestions on things to do when it started raining. Convenient enough to walk into town to explore or grab a bite to eat. There is a fridge with drinks and a spot to notate what you had on the honor system, pay when you leave.

The beds are firm. I understand that is typical in Europe but I woke up each morning with some back pain.

Breakfast was a great way to start the day. The room was spotless, newly furnished and with a wonderful view from the balcony. Location of Gaestehaus Achental was only a 3 minute walk to the Hbf and bus connections. Local busses are gratis with the Kurkarte provided by Gaestehaus Achental at check-in. Access to Obersalzberg, Salzberwerk and Koenigsee are only 10-15 minutes away. The town of Berchtesgaden is a short walk or an even shorter bus ride.

Leaving. The Host was so friendly and helpful that I would have iked to stay longer.

The location is really close to the Berchatsgaden hbf. Perfect for traveling with public transportation. Staff are really really nice :) The breakfast buffet was also very nice.

The pillow is bit too soft. I didn’t ask reception for any changes since I only stayed for two nights.

Good selection of breakfast. Nice, clean room. Enjoyed having a balcony. Friendly staff.

Location was sort of awkward — it’s near the main train station, but in the opposite direction from town. Also, you need to cross the train tracks and a high-speed road without a crosswalk to get to the sidewalk on the other side, though it wasn’t even a sidewalk, just a strip of gravelly sand. And then you have to cross back again to get to the station. Not a dealbreaker for me, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with mobility issues.
