A very pleasant and well-equipped hotel. We arrived for just one night, with backpacks and by train. It took us a while to find the right path from the train station up to the hotel, so that we didn't have to take the longer route along the road or wait for a bus. The view from the hotel is beautiful, but unfortunately our room faced the back side and we could only see the parking lot. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean, the staff professional, and the breakfast tasty and varied enough. There was no problem with storing our luggage after check-out. The guest card we received saved us a few euros on admission to the Freilicht museum near Marzoll.

The only downside to our stay was that the room did not have a view of the beautiful surrounding mountains. It was also unpleasant that the room was on the ground floor, easily accessible through the window from the adjacent parking lot, thus we did not dare to leave the window wide open at night.

We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room. The room was a great size and the decor was funky but comfortable, clean and functional. The King bed was made up of two twins put together but this is pretty common for Europe so we expected it. The bar/restaurant on site was great, good vibes. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Our room was above the restaurant so we often had cigarette smoke wafting up to our room if we left the door open for a breeze. The hotel was a little bit further of a walk to the main part of town that had shopping and restaurants.....about a 10-15 walk.

Wonderful location and incredibly beautiful terrace with views of the Watzmann. Wonderful breakfast and a surprisingly fantastic restaurant. We ended up having dinner on the terrace 4 of our 6 nights here. The staff are wonderful and rooms are comfortable and clean. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

Beware there is a fee for parking in the garage and the street parking fills up. We were not informed of the fee for the garage at check in.

The breakfast was very good and the food in the restaurant was varied and good, The view from the balcony at the front if the hotel was fantastic. Free parking at the front of the hotel was a bonus. There was so much to see and do in the area that we easily filled 6 days. The salt museum, toboggan run and trip to Lake Konigsee were excellent family activities

Some of the staff could have been a bit more friendly

Room facilities were very good; wonderful views from the room; all the staff from the lovely lady owner/maitre d'hotel to the lady who cleaned our room, were attentive and helpful despite language differences; and the room and the whole hotel very clean and attractively presented. The food was good and the bircher muesli at breakfast is the best anywhere!

We have been to the hotel before and as well as the reasons given at 3 above, we particularly liked the friendly relaxed atmosphere of the bar which we liked to use at the end of the day and sometimes eat there in a more informal setting. It was one of the key reasons for picking this hotel again but we were very disappointed to find out on arrival that it had been closed for 2 months for repair work.

We liked the views from the hotel but unfortunately we got a room with a view of the garages behind the hotel that had lights that came on whenever someone drove in even early in the morning. The breakfast was very good and the staff was also helpful. It was a 10-15 minute walk to town .

The view from our room so be sure to ask for a room with a Mountain View .

slightly outdated hotel equipment, however everything was clean. we had a mountain view room, if we hadn't we would probably have been slightly disappointed with the other views from other sides of the hotel

The hotel is located at a convenient ten minute walk from the city centre. The staff, whether at the front desk or kitchen/restaurant/bar were friendly and very warm, which makes travelling a pleasure. The mountain view rooms are stunning. The breakfast spread is massive and quite detailed!

A kettle in the room will be nice.

Great staff at the reception -very kind and helpful. The breakfast was really good in terms of quality and taste. Just few kilometers from the main attractions like Koenigsee, Salt mine etc but you can already get a glimpse of mount Watzmann from the hotel restaurant’s window itself (or the rooms depending on the side you are offered)

The room had some kind of ‘not so pleasant’ smell. The beds were not comfortable or atleast I find it a bit stiffer than what I am used to. There was no hot water kettle or tea bag’s in the room. Not sure if that is a rule because last year I stayed in a different hotel in the same location and they didn’t have it either!

Staff was wonderful- friendly and welcoming. Location was ok, just a 10 minute walk down inro the main part of town. Great breakfast! Room and bathroom were big and clean. Evening dining in restaurant was very convenient. Can't wait to come back!
