I was pleasantly surprised to get a double room instead of a single, even though I was traveling alone. I stayed for one night, including breakfast, which was sufficient. The room was comfortable, with really good beds. The balcony offered an excellent view, which was a great bonus. Puch bei Hallein is a charming and quiet little town, and this Gasthof has preserved its original character (including an ashtray in the elevator). If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place to be.

The room could have been a bit warmer. While the radiator was functioning, it wasn't sufficient to heat a room of that size, leaving a slight chill in the air.

The food, drinks on the terrace, management (owner managed for 3 generations!), their staff and the location were excellent. We purposely did not want to stay in Salzburg city center because of cost and sites outside the city that were located nearby the hotel (Hellbrunn Palace and mountain top cable car). The Hotel provided free public bus passes into Salzburg which worked very well. We ate dinner on the dining room terrace two nights out of three because we really enjoyed the food!

The rooms were warm on one night because of the high outside summer temperatures.

The man (can't remember his name but an older man) at the reception when we arrived was very nice and helpful with solving some issues around our stay. Also the evening personal was helpful. Beautiful hotel both interior and exterior! Very lovely!

Only thing to mention is perhaps the breakfast. There could have been some more choises of food. It was very "standard" with just the "basic choises" but what's served tasted good!

Easy to find,very clean, spacious room, good size balcony, staff very friendly and handy. PRICE - 5 nights + free breakfast was the cheapest option compared to similar hotels around, up to double less in price. Well done. A good choice of food for breakfast and dinnner.

Limited spaces at car park due to locals arriving for dinner therefor hotel guest are forced to look around for other spaces to park. The hole bathroom has limited privacy due to glass wals and not be soundproof.

Family-run hotel, located in Puch bei Hallein near Salzburg. A perfect location for travelling around in an area abundant with hiking trails, lakes and ponds, and many other brilliant natural attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, impeccably clean and tidy, great views.

Lovely classic Austrian gasthof. Hosts/staff were all very helpful and friendly, hotel was easy to find, ample parking, room was renovated and clean, great breakfast buffet, would return.

Our room was on the top floor and after a hot day, it was quite warm. Even with the windows and door open couldn't really get any fresh air through. Not a big problem, just made for a bit of a stuffy night. The reception may have had a fan available, I didn't ask.

Cosy hotel in a small, quiet village. The rooms were clean, bright and modern with exceptionally comfortable beds. The bathroom was great. Breakfast very good, with a selection of breads, spreads, cereals, eggs, meat, juice, tea and coffee. Staff were friendly and relaxed. The hotel is in Puch, a village 15-20 minutes from the centre of Salzburg by train and trolley-bus. An all-day adult fare was about €8 and there's a train every 30 mins, always punctual. The Salzburg Verkehr app is indispensable.

Though not the fault of the hotel, it's worth noting that from about 9.30pm at Salzburg Parsch the trains drop to one an hour.

Parking and restaurant available and working. There was a huge party that evening, but still the staff managed to cope with both the guests and the party. One feels like at own place and space in the room. Very nice bathroom too. I also had a small charming balcony with a view.

Too hot at night, and mosquitoes entered the room through the open balcony door. Maybe the hotel should consider mosquitoe nets for the balcony doors.

Breakfest was very good, good choice of food. A lot of space

We were with 4 of us and the room was bit small. Bathroom is kind of build in the room. I think the price was bit high for 1 night stay for such a small room ( but we new the price when booking and we booked last minute)

Location is close to the Main street easy to find - close public parking near by - we hd a quadruple room which was great! Breakfast was very good and staff really helpful.

We used it for one night in transit stay. The only thing that was not great was the shower that didn’t work very properly - and the shower cabin which was a bit small for me personally. But frankly nothing to complain about really.
