We stayed for one night with our family and had a lovely experience. The hotel owner was very kind and welcoming, and the staff were polite and helpful. The location is convenient — just a 20-minute drive from Salzburg, with shops nearby. There’s a covered outdoor pool and a beautiful garden area where you can relax. It was nice to take some folding chairs and sit out on the lawn. The furniture in the room was a bit dated, but everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was available upon request, which was a nice option. A great place for a short and peaceful stay.

The Pension Sommeraur was lovely. The views of the mountains were beautiful. The room was a good size, and everything was clean and comfortable. The balcony was an added bonus. There is a pool that you can use (unfortunately we didn't have time). The hosts were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. We didn't have breakfast, just coffee in the morning, but it did look good! Would highly recommend staying here, and I am sure we will be back. 😊

Large room in quiet area with balcony.Well furnished and with plenty of electrical sockets. Quiet surroundings. Only 5 minutes drive off our motorway route between Germany and Slovenia. Plenty of parking and accessible for our campervan.

We had a few minutes wait after ringing the reception bell before the owner arrived from another building. Otherwise it was an excellent stay. We booked because there was a discount offered at the time of booking - the full price was higher than we would normally pay for an overnight stop.

We were traveling to meet family at various locations outside Salzburg and it made sense for us to stay in Hallein and for us this was the perfect trade off of location and comfort vs price and service. Check in was fast and easy and the proprietor was friendly and helpful. The location is peaceful and rural, despite its proximity to Salzburg.

It was a bit like stepping out of a time machine and walking into a pension in 1982, but the fixtures and furnishings must have been well-made because they are still holding up well. It would be nice to have better lighting in the bathroom, but that is a small thing.

Very nice room with wooden furnishing. Balcony provided a view on rocky and woody mountains and was dry despite frequent rain. And every day the roo was cleaned. The bed was big and mattress comfy.

Bed had high wooden frame. For me, a tall person, it would be not very pleasant if I was not able to sleep diagonally. Also, some mornings (6AM) the smell of cows from nearby farm travelled to the hotel grounds.

A great location a few minutes walk to many supermarkets. It takes about 12 minutes to walk into Hallein itself. It was a 30 min bus ride to Salzburg. The property was spacious and had very comfortable beds. House keeping cleaned and tidied every day! Lots of towels were provided. There is an outdoor pool.

A kettle and tea and coffee would have been a bonus!

The hotel is very close to Salzburg, right next to the highway. There are supermarkets, gas stations, and fast-food restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The host was waiting for us at the scheduled check-in time and gave a detailed introduction to the facilities, which made our stay very pleasant. Thank you!

Everything was great, the owner was super sweet, our room had lovely view, the pool was very nice, and so was the possibility to sunbath near it. Breakfast was big, tasty and we had lots of choices, area was quiet but not that far from the town center. Everything was clean, parking was no problem.

The only thing I would improve is lenght of a bed but i am 192cm, so most beds are like this to me when they have headboards.

First of all, the staff was great. Breakfast was very good. It was wonderful way to start our day after such breakfast. Both rooms were nice and clean. The view from the rooms was great and lovely. Parking area was just near the building. The pool is nice though it was rainy and the water were freezing, but in a good way.

Nothing. But... We would be happy if we had a little fridge in the room :-)

It was a quick overnight stay whilst travelling but everything was lovely. Easy to reach from motorway and the centre was a short walk away. Slightly dated furniture but everything was spotless. Lovely views.
