This hotel was located in such an isolated part of Salzburg that I loved it. The rooms were clean and big with all possible facilities provided. The breakfast was really nice all the freshly prepared food. Especially the stay became even nicer as the hosts were really helpful and friendly. They also gave us free mobility tickets for transportation. One should keep in mind that as the hotel is located in the outskirts of the main city, the walk to/from the nearest bus stop is a little uphill/downhill (but a very short distance). I am looking forward to visiting Salzburg again and also planning on staying here again. :)

Genuinely lovely welcoming hosts, beautiful home and location, incredibly spacious rooms, excellent choice of food at breakfast, gorgeous dog, felt like an amazing home rather than an accomodation. We had the room with a balcony and made the most of the view each morning and evening. The room is massive and the photos are accurate, but it still exceeded our expectations. We arrived by car and appreciated the free parking onsite. Re comments in other reviews...yes it's a steep drive but we are on a hill, so totally expected, wear sensible shoes =) Bus stop at the top of the drive takes you straight in to town and the free bus vouchers were greatly appreciated, so we left the car and used public transport. Would love to come back here again and can highly recommend.

A spotlessly clean accommodation. The room exceeded our expectations, it was so tastefully decorated, so beautiful. The accommodation was larger than expected. The bed was so comfortable and we slept so well. The location is stunning, with an amazing sunset at the back of the house too. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding. We were even given an early breakfast on our departure day, thank you kindly. We took the recommendation of a bus to see the lakes and mountains (from the bus stop near the hotel). Easy to get to & from the city by bus. Takes 10 minutes. If you like Indian food, we highly recommend, The Taj Mahal, we ate there 2 out of 3 evenings. Go early or pre-book as it was full each time. You will have a magical stay here at this location, we did. For info. We booked a BOLT taxi to return to the airport, it took 18 minutes and cost 30 euros.

Beautiful views and friendly staff! Very quaint. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a getaway from everything. They really thought of everything that you'd need like toiletries. Nice touches throughout the building and room. Loved the old timey keys as well. The free breakfast was good to have in the morning with a lot of choices. Very pretty property.

If you have mobility issues, this would not be for you. Very steep driveway up and down. No way to get anywhere without good strong legs. Far from tourist attractions. Internet was very spotty so if you need to get work done it probably wont happen. The floors are very creaky so it kept us up if one needed to go to the restroom. The smoke was pretty thick when opening the windows for fresh air.

The owner of the bed and breakfast was so nice and inviting when I arrived. The room we stayed in was very cozy and had everything we needed as well. The breakfast service every morning was also fantastic.

The hotel is located in the hills of Salzburg, which does provide for excellent scenery and views. However, the path down to the hotel after getting off at the 150 or 155 bus stop is quite steep. I had a large luggage so going up and down that path was a challenge. I wouldn't let this stop me from staying at this location, however, because everything else is so wonderful. It is more just something to be aware of.

We booked two rooms, one had a separate private entrance with a small kitchen while the other was on the first floor of the main house itself. Both had nice views. Caroline and I think it's her husband(?) were very kind and hospitable. He helped us with our luggage to our room upstairs. The rooms were spacious with more than enough space for luggage. There were nice touches in the room - fresh fruits with a small knife, nice-smelling towels, toiletries with facial cotton, etc. There was also a rain shower. Our favourite was the breakfast. It was a huge spread, and the breakfast room was quaint. There's a small garden that looked out to town and we enjoyed the view there as well. We had a great sleep and are already missing the place.

We loved everything about our stay. Just a note that the property is on a hill and the drive up is narrow and steep. But that gave it a great view. ;)

The hosts really went above and beyond - they saw it was my birthday while we were visiting and Caroline brought me champagne and a little cake with breakfast, SO sweet! The breakfast was yummy with Caroline making some homemade treats like apple struddle and croissants. The room was enormous and I loved the Nespresso machine. We had a beautiful terrace overlooking Salzburg. Comfy bed.

The location isn't great if you're planning to spend your trip in Salzburg city. There's a bus but then you're reliant on the bus schedule, which wasn't reliable. Sunday's there's only 1 bus per hour :/ Other days it's every 15 minutes which is easy to manage!

We loved the Haslachsmuehle. The owners are super friendly, the place is a former windmill that dates back to the 1600s, breakfast was very nice, and it's got a great view of some of the mountains around. It's also very clean and the rooms were very comfortable. The owners made you feel as if you were just relaxing in your own country house. When we come back to Salzburg, we'll definitely stay there again.

Nothing we disliked. The one thing to note is that it takes about 15 minutes by bus to get to the city centre. We didn't think of this as a problem, particularly as the hotel is in such a nice, relaxing area.

We loved absolutely everything about this place. Set in beautiful surroundings, decorated to an exceptional standard, the room was wonderful. The hosts, Caroline & Roland, couldn't do enough for my wife & I. The breakfast provided was superb, with selections of pastries, cereals, meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, & juices to suit everyone's tastes, not forgetting fresh eggs from the owners chickens if wanted. I chose this establishment for our wedding anniversary, & am so glad I did. I would highly recommend Die Haslachmühle, & wish we could have stayed longer. If I could give a rating of 15 out of 10, I would. Thankyou for an unforgettable stay.

There was absolutely nothing to complain about at all.

Very nice, large apartment, in a beautiful old building, on the hill across the river from Saltzburg old town. The area is very peaceful and quiet, and you must take a bus to the city centre (or walk about 1h), but the bus stop is only about 500m away. The owners were very friendly and helpful, more than we normally experience. There is a small terrace. The apartment has everything you need, imcluding a full kitchen. Breakfast was great, especially as the weather was nice and we could sit outside. The owners do the breakfast themselves, and we did not wait at all for coffee, eggs etc. The road is quite narrow, so be preapred if you have a big car. Sufficient parking very close by.
