A decent small and cozy hotel a bit outside of the city center, but still at a walking distance (15 minutes). The room had enough size, included required amenities, though a fan, not an A/C (I know, this is Austria). The breakfast had a decent of choice, tasty coffee, there were always enough tables whenever we came. We also liked the stuff which was very friendly and ready to help. Almost all amenities were in a good shape. So, a very decent hotel for 3 stars and it earns them.

The fan was loud. Also, the curtains didn't protect from the sunlight, so we had to use sleep masks. The breakfast wasn't that tasty for some reason, though some things we liked, such as cheese.

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the friendly and welcoming staff made us feel at home, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and provided a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring. The location was perfect, just a short and pleasant walk to the city center, making it easy to explore local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We also appreciated the inexpensive parking, which made travelling by car hassle-free. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, it’s a fantastic choice, and we would absolutely stay here again!

Hotel is well kept. The receptionists were nice and spoke English. Breakfast was nice. Hotel is a bit far away from some of the attractions but the bus stop is only a 2 minute walk away. Our room had a pretty nice view of the mountains but I think our room probably had the best view by far

The shower is on the small side. It didn't really bother me but I could see other people not liking it. I bumped my elbows a few times. Also, there is no fridge in the room to put drinks or anything in. They never claimed that there was one but just be aware of that.

The location is conveniently accessible by both driving and public transport, although parking comes with an additional cost. All staff members are extremely friendly. We were accommodated on the first floor, and Thomas was particularly kind, assisting us with our luggage during both check-in and check-out. The breakfast was outstanding, with fresh offerings. Our room was spacious, comfortable for three people, and appeared to be newly furnished, mainly the Bed - is just right and comfortable. The bathroom was large enough, and the surroundings were beautiful, with the town being just a short and pleasant walk away. The hotel was impeccably clean throughout. We would gladly stay again if given the opportunity to return to Salzburg

One small suggestion that could enhance the experience for future guests is adjusting the water pressure slightly higher for the shower. Everything else during our stay was perfect, and this minor adjustment would further improve an already enjoyable stay. Nevertheless, this didn't detract from our overall love for staying at your place. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Very clean, nicely equipped rooms. The staff were superb, very happy, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good selection of cold meat, cheese, bread, fruit, yoghurt, cereal eggs and pastries. The location is excellent, with mountain views and being only a 10-15 minute walk from the historic city centre. Generally very quiet and peaceful

We visited in February and the room was so warm that we had to use the provided fan whenever we were there, which was fine, but I wonder if air conditioning might be required in the hot summer. Also a small fridge in the room for storing medication, drinks etc may be useful. Tea and coffee facilities were provided, but no milk.

We had a lovely stay in Hotel Ganslhof for a week. All the staff were so friendly. Our room was very comfortable and cleaned thoroughly every day. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, ingredients were regularly topped up and it was very tasty. Although it is not in the centre of town it is an easy walk in or there are good public transport links close by We will definitely return on our next trip to Salzburg.

Thank you so much Barbara. - The room was very clean and they even remembered to place a fan in my room, which I had requested several weeks earlier. Excellent attention to guests requests. - Loved the location. Very picturesque, sitting right at the base of beautiful Kapuzinerberg. - Strong and consistent wifi. - Awesome rain shower!

- The leather bed frame was heavily dated and damaged. With the rest of the room being so beautiful, this definitely needs to be fixed or replaced. - The bed in general was very uncomfortable. Only a very thin mattress on top of a very soft, quishy bed frame. Every time you move around the mattress slides off the frame. And in the mornings my back was SO sore. If not for the beds, this hotel would have gotten a perfect score. *Did not try breakfast.

Whole hotel was very clean and tidy. Room was quite large and adequately furnished, with a largish bathroom. The location is OK, nice and quiet and between two main roads, so easy to catch the No. 4 bus to the old town, or No. 2 to airport or train station. Breakfast was also very good. This is a family run hotel with plenty of parking; both the staff and owners were very helpful, kind, knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to.

I would have preferred a hotel nearer the old town or at least on the river, but Salzburg was quite busy and affordable rooms in the best areas were difficult to come by. Two pillows each and a small fridge would have been helpful.

I stayed here just for one night and I didn’t have any expectations, but the stay was awesome. IMHO the price-value ratio is great. Location is in a quite place and very close to the historical city center. Spacious private parking lot. Modest breakfast, still it was enough for a great start of the day. Friendly staff. We were even given a city map for tourists - very convenient. The best mattress in my whole life! I was in paradise!

The location is great; within walking distance to downtown. Staff attentive and very friendly. They provided excellent restaurant recommendations within a 5 minute walk that were definitely more a locals spot than catering to tourists.

Our Room was quite small, we had to use the chairs and floors for our suitcases. A small refrigerator would have been nice. We were traveling with another couple and there was no lobby or bar to gather in.
