The room was small but cozy, with optimized space. While it's a bit of a stroll from downtown, there are plenty of buses and trolleybuses stopping nearby to take you to the city center or train station (and we got the Salzburg Guest Mobility Ticket with free transportation within the whole Salzburg province through the hotel). You'll also find grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. The area is very quiet, and with double-glazed windows, you'll barely hear any outside noise. This is a totally automatic experience (self-check-in, no room cleaning, etc.). However, coincidentally (or perhaps by design?), we met one of the hosts upon arrival. He was very nice and provided helpful information about the facilities and sightseeing suggestions. A little treat from a local bakery is left in a basket outside your bedroom door every morning, which is a lovely touch. There's also a free coffee bar and complimentary snacks available all the time. Inside the room, you'll find a kettle with tea bags and mugs. The beds are comfortable, the room is clean, and there are plenty of power outlets (including two by the bed). The bathroom is small but modern, with a good shower.

No elevator (this wasn't an issue for us, but it might be for others). However, I imagine guests with reduced mobility could request a ground-floor room. We were in room 4, and it had a peculiar smell we couldn't identify. We left the windows open for several hours, but it didn't go away. There was only one seating chair in the room. Although the room is small, it would be great if they considered a second seating option if both guests prefer not to sit on the bed (perhaps a small stool?).

Lovely immaculate room, a short walking distance from the main tourist area, but sufficient distance to not be noisy. The coffee station at the end of the passage was great, and having fresh pastries popped daily into the basket outside the room door was a lovely surprise. The hotel was also only a single bus ride from the station - no changing lines with suitcases. If we were to return to Salzburg, this hotel would be our first choice.

There isn’t an elevator and the shower floor was quite slippery (a grab handle would help), so it might not be suitable for elderly or mobility challenged people.

Andreas, the host was so helpful to us. The hotel has a great location, near many restaurants, within walking distance to the train station. Very nice short walk into the centre of the city if you did not want to take transportation. Buses were practically outside the door to bring you to the station or into the centre. Andreas provided us with the Mobility Card that allowed us to travel for free ...as overnight visitors to the city. Every morning, we had lovely pastries delivered and we had a kettle in the room. Coffee machine was outside our door. Room was so comfortable. Design of the hotel was very up to date. We can not thank Andreas enough for making our stay so great in Salzburg. He did all he could to help us if we had any issues.

Having to leave, ...but we will be back.

The code self check in was ideal as we didn't have to wait for someone to meet us. The unexpected extras were a lovely surprise such as the complementary tea and coffee (pod machine) making facilities on each floor along with bowls of chocolate bars. The fresh bread/pastries delivered outside our door each morning was a nice touch. The free public transport pass that was emailed by the hosts was fabulous. Although we were out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre, we were able to walk to a number of different bus/tram stops and be in the centre of town in minutes. The public transport was very convenient. Also, the Indian restaurant next door was excellent and the hotel was walking distance to a number of other restaurants and supermarkets. We would highly recommend this self check in hotel for cleanliness convenience and value for money.

Nothing. We were happy with the accomodation. There are no lifts so something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. We were on the first floor up so it wasn't an issue for us. It may be tricky if you have heavy luggage and are on a higher floor.

Great location - about 10-15 mins walk into the old town. Plenty of restaurants nearby (Indian next door, pizza 5 mins walk around the corner, Die Weisse beer tavern a few mins walk away). Really easy to get to from the airport - bus number 2, costs approx £2 and takes you 3 mins walk from the hotel. The staff were lovely and left us a breakfast pastry each morning, which was unexpected but appreciated. They also treated us to a New Year's eve drink, which made us very happy! There was coffee available all day, and also left luggage lockers which was really helpful. The bedroom was comfortable with fridge, hair dryer and water. Thanks for that. The city is a nice place to spend a few days, very pretty and lots of shops and museums to explore. You can't beat Austria for friendliness and NYE celebrations!

Hard to think of anything except it was a little noisy during the night from other guests coming in and out, which might bother you if you are a light sleeper.

Cute little place. Conveniently located near the bus stop. It took me under 15 minutes to reach the hotel from the train station. Very neat and clean. I requested Andreas to give me a room on the lower floor and he changed it immediately. Very tasteful and modern decorated room. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Comfy beds. Andreas is very helpful. Every time I asked him for something he gladly helped me out. With the directions or questions about the markets etc. I was travelling solo. Felt very safe there. Amazing coffee machine and varieties of yummy coffee with sweet treats. The morning breakfast treat was an absolute bonus. Yummy breads. Very filling. I was travelling to see the Christmas markets. Had an amazing time in Salzburg. Beautiful city and the people are warm friendly and helpful. Please note Christmas markets asked for cash for payments. Salzburg for Christmas markets are only place during my entire trip in Europe which did not accept cards. Other than that, all the stores, eating places, etc. accept card payments and online payments. Had a wonderful stay and time.

Nothing really, except a few times there would be a foul smell from the toilet. I guess some sewage problem. Which I read is common in Europe.

My wife stayed here with her friend. Great location for the centre of Salzburg. Great value for more. Security at the property was very good (all self check in with security keys pads) Easy to contact managers for any assistance on any matters arising. Availability of hot drinks at the apartments (kettle & cups in each room & the coffee machines on each floor) was very good and the fresh croissants delivered to each room early every morning was a lovely surprise bonus! Rooms clean & practical - twin room very suitable for 2 friends sharing.

The location was a few minutes from two bus stops that ran to the major points of Salzburg. The rooms provide twin beds so they're perfect for a pair of traveling friends. Coffee and water are refilled and provided in the mornings, which were all we needed before snagging a Viennese breakfast around town. Though the hotel was self-check-in and no personnel were visibly there when we were, everything was provided that needed to be. Plus, they were easy to contact and responded pretty immediately. They even accomodated us in letting us keep luggage in their suitcase lockers before check in and after check out while we explored the city. It was a huge relief and optimized our first time in beautiful Salzburg!

The building is older—as many in Salzburg are—so it had some occasional noises familiar of an old building, but it did not affect sleep quality. Besides, everything is modern and renovated. The size was fine for us, being just a place to sleep and shower, but most rooms here seem to be on the smaller side.

Comfortable beds, good sized rooms, lovely free snacks available on ground and first floors, as well as nespresso machine. Morning surprise when baking was dropped off outside room for breakfast each day. Checking in and out easy with good communication.

One of the air-conditioning units was quite loud. The top floor room into the eaves of the building meant some slouching in the room. The use of light shower curtains in a small shower area was not ideal.

Met with owner upon arrival, very friendly welcome. We got a nice, spacious room, freshly decorated, comfortable beds, side lamps, small fridge in room, kettle, teabags hairdryer. Even small chcolates by reception. In the morning fresh bakery was hung by the door. Place is very close to city centre, 5 mins walk max. Fantastic Indian restaurant next door. We had a view of the mountain, which was nice. Nice, hot water for shower and warm rooms. Highly recommended!

Slight traffic noise in the morning but I m a very light sleeper
