The room was wonderful and as the lady at reception had stated when we checked in the evening she hoped we would be happy with our river view, it was wonderful. We had a family room that worked well with two teenagers, it was spacious and clean. I wish we could have spent a few more nights in this wonderful hotel.

The gentleman on duty in the morning needed to be mindful of his tone. He was very rude when I asked where bags could be left for collection later on, Clearly a language barrier, but patience on his side was needed. He shouted and it was not nice to be made to feel like a fool in a reception area. I left and didn't even say goodbye which is not part of my culture. Be mindful and aware of your tone when working front office.

We had a great stay at this charming, old-style hotel in Salzburg. The staff were absolutely wonderful—always available, friendly, and ready to answer any questions we had. Breakfast was good enough. A big bonus was the free mobility tickets that allowed us to travel all over Salzburg, even as far as Hallein and beyond. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and neatly arranged beds every day. Everything was spotless, and the overall cleanliness really stood out. The hotel is also in a great location, making it easy to explore the city- bus stops are just outside the hotel.

A couple of things to note—not really negatives, just good to be aware of: there’s no lift, but the building only has three floors, so it wasn’t a problem for us. There is a bar that’s part of the hotel, and we did hear some noise on Thursday evening, but this was clearly mentioned during the booking and also via message from hotel beforehand. It didn’t bother us much.

Although not right in the city centre, the hotel is an easy bus ride away, with stops (going both ways) right outside the door. So save yourself the unnecessary extra cost of staying more central. Rooms are clean and warm, and quite basic, but then you don’t go to Salzburg to sit in a hotel room. Although the buffet breakfast is not included (€14 a day), it is fairly good value as it will allow you to skip lunch (which would be expensive in the city). The staff were very efficient and friendly. We won’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends. Note that you won’t necessary stay in the main building as there is an annexe, but we found no disadvantages to this.

Hotel Turnerwirt was a very cute hotel. Although it was not in the city it was very convenient with the bus stop right outside and we were ESPECIALLY grateful for the Salzburg transportation pass. The room was small, cosy and comfortable. The shower worked great and everything was tidy. The staff were kind, friendly, and easy to talk to. We are thankful that you accommodated us especially with our late arrival and how you allowed us to leave our bags after check-out while we spent our last day in Salzburg.

I don’t have any problems with the hotel. I don’t think it was always necessary for housekeeping to come everyday but it was very kind.

The location isn't too central but is on great bus routes. Public transit was easy to use, even for someone that's never used it before. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. My room was nice and had AC. Good water pressure and hot water. The blanket was nice and cozy and the windows opened for fresh air. Would stay here again.

The pillow was not great. The on-site bar was quite loud but music stopped around 10-10:30 which was surprisingly reasonable. The keys/locks/doors are all very loud so I found that I kept getting woken up/couldn't sleep. My curtains didn't cover the window so I had to use a sleep mask.

We stayed at this hotel for only one night, so we didn’t have the opportunity to evaluate everything in detail. We arrived late, after the reception desk had closed, but the hotel staff was extremely helpful. We had informed them in advance about our late arrival, and it caused no problems, as they provided clear and detailed instructions on how to proceed with a late check-in. The hotel is styled in a traditional manner and feels cozy and interesting – both the architecture and the interior reflect the local character. The room was clean and well-organized. The location is very convenient, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel in Salzburg. The hotel is comfortable and well-maintained, with a great breakfast to start the day. The receptionist was especially helpful and a pleasure to talk to, which made our experience even better. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and nature hikes just steps away — it’s amazing to walk around and explore the area. There are also plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making everything super convenient. The bar on the ground floor is a great spot to unwind in the evening — really cool atmosphere. Overall, a great place to stay and we’d definitely come back!

The location is ideal if you have a car. You leave your car at one of the plenty parking spots of the hotel and travel to the center by bus/trolley for free. (Booking here you get free tickets for the whole duration of your stay.) The stop is just outside the hotel’s door. If you want to take your car out of town to the countryside, you can easily leave Salzburg from the hotel’s location.

Not many restaurants close. If you take into account that businesses there have a strange timetable and they might work one day, but the other not, it can be a problem. The hotel has a bar open in the evening, but unfortunately it offers no food.

This is our second stay here and we love it! The staff is so kind and the young new Hungarian bartender is a treasure! He was very friendly and chatted with us while he made our delicious drinks at the hotel bar. I had lost my cell phone during the trip, and the lady who works in the evenings was visibly upset. When the bus driver brought our phone to us, she was beyond relieved and happy for us. Everyone there seems genuine. Plus, the bus from the airport and around town stops literally at the door of the hotel. The man who works during the day was so helpful in telling us which busses to take where.

This is only personal preference, but I'm used to a lot of pillows. There is only one pillow, but that's my fault bc I should've asked for another.

The staff at reception is exceptional, very helpful, pleasant, and informative. Breakfast is a nice choice of meats, cheese, eggs, pastries, and many other lovely treats. Coffee, juices, water, and selection of teas are superb. The hotel is nestled in nature, and with the free travel pass and bus stop right in front of the hotel, you're in the city centre quickly. However, it's a nice walk if one fancies it.

Noise from people chatting in the yard late at night or leaving the hotel is easily heard in the room.
