The room was wonderful and as the lady at reception had stated when we checked in the evening she hoped we would be happy with our river view, it was wonderful. We had a family room that worked well with two teenagers, it was spacious and clean. I wish we could have spent a few more nights in this wonderful hotel.

The gentleman on duty in the morning needed to be mindful of his tone. He was very rude when I asked where bags could be left for collection later on, Clearly a language barrier, but patience on his side was needed. He shouted and it was not nice to be made to feel like a fool in a reception area. I left and didn't even say goodbye which is not part of my culture. Be mindful and aware of your tone when working front office.

Although not right in the city centre, the hotel is an easy bus ride away, with stops (going both ways) right outside the door. So save yourself the unnecessary extra cost of staying more central. Rooms are clean and warm, and quite basic, but then you don’t go to Salzburg to sit in a hotel room. Although the buffet breakfast is not included (€14 a day), it is fairly good value as it will allow you to skip lunch (which would be expensive in the city). The staff were very efficient and friendly. We won’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends. Note that you won’t necessary stay in the main building as there is an annexe, but we found no disadvantages to this.

This is our second stay here and we love it! The staff is so kind and the young new Hungarian bartender is a treasure! He was very friendly and chatted with us while he made our delicious drinks at the hotel bar. I had lost my cell phone during the trip, and the lady who works in the evenings was visibly upset. When the bus driver brought our phone to us, she was beyond relieved and happy for us. Everyone there seems genuine. Plus, the bus from the airport and around town stops literally at the door of the hotel. The man who works during the day was so helpful in telling us which busses to take where.

This is only personal preference, but I'm used to a lot of pillows. There is only one pillow, but that's my fault bc I should've asked for another.

The room I had was clean and cozy. The shower cubicle was clean, water pressure was good and water temperature was perfect. The reception staff were also friendly and helpful; and they wore smiles 😊 TQ

They could do better with the bath gel. That small combo packet of bath gel cum hair shampoo was too little. It would also help to have a DND and Make-up room door hanger, instead of the Housekeeping staff trying to open your room door while you are still in the room! And, a small kettle and coffee & tea making facilities may help too. With no elevator; if one has more than one luggage, it may be a bit of a challenge to lug one’s bags up the flights of stairs.

The apperience of the hotel. Bus stop outside the hotel. Bar location and garden at the side. Mountains visible around the hotel. All members of staff friendly and helpful. Great breakfast options. Car park available. Beautifully Mozart theamed breakfast room. Having experienced 6 nights there and 4 nights in a distant city hotel we wished we had stayed at Turnerwirt.

Quite a lot of road noise as the windows needed to be open. After a day in the 35 deg C sun walking the streets of the old and new towns, the noise did not really matter to us all - out for the count!

The building fasting back to 1437 was pretty cool. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and kept up. Decor was a bit dated by modern sensibilities but fit with the "antique" vibe of the hotel. Staff was super helpful any time we spoke with them. Loved that there was a bus stop literally at the front door of the hotel with multiple lines stopping there, made getting around without a rental car super easy.

Location was a bit noisy, room was really tight, just barely a path between the walls and the bed. But rooms were generally smaller in old buildings so it makes sense, and we wanted to see the town not just sit in the hotel so not a huge issue. No hot meat at breakfast

I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment we arrived we were make to feel so welcome, the place is spotless, the staff were all super friendly & the bus stop is right outside the front door both going into town & coming home from town. You can even get a bus to the airport from outside the front door. The breakfast buffet was delicious & fantastic value for money. We stayed in the annexe building which was lovely & warm & very quiet. If you’re considering staying at this hotel, just book it! If I go back to Salzburg I’ll be staying here again.

Nothing to dislike

The rooms were very clean, beds were pretty comfortable and the triple room had lots of space for all three of us (including a couple tables and chairs). The showers were great - clean, had great water pressure and enough hot water. The location was quiet at night and it was super easy to get to the old town by bus.

I don’t love doors that require a key to lock/unlock the door from the inside (more of a personal preference though and it didn’t cause any issues).

It's an old house, it's veery nice inside (almost like a muzeum, with wall pictures and chandeliers in the hallways) and the reception lady was very kind and helpful. Beds are clean and comfortable, and it is quiet during the night. For 3 people the room may feel a bit dense/short if you have a lot of luggage, but it suffices in practice. There's a very nice roofed bench (see attached pic) behind the house on a quiet meadow with a view towards the forested hill, which is great for spending some time in the morning or dark evening. A bus stop with busses going to the centre is right in front of the house which is really convenient for getting as fast as possible to the centre (which is otherwise somewhat far away for going by foot), though we went back by foot in the evening which is still a nice walk.

I recall only one thing I could complain about. While the bath was with a bathtub, there was no handle to hang the shower on while using it (we were more shower-users than tub'bers) which made it inconvenient. Our overall experience was still very good, though :)

The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet area. The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds very comfy. The buffet-style breakfast is very good, and the staff is really nice and helpful. What I appreciated most, and in fact was an essential criterion for me when choosing this hotel to stay in in the first place, was the large private parking. There are enough parking spots at the property, which are clearly marked.

The shower valve was a bit defective. Switching from tub to shower didn't quite work. This wasn't necessarily a major problem, as it didn't actually prevent us from taking a shower, but it would have been nice if it had worked properly.
