Large breakfast buffet with good quality food. Well located near the lake and all other facilities at walking distance.

Bit understaffed so service was a bit behind sometimes at busy hours. Personnel present worked hard to compensate.

Lovely location and easy pleasant walk to village centre. We upgraded to a large tastefully furnished room with balcony on the top floor of the modern extension and had a fine view. Our bathroom was modern and the shower very effective. The period ambience of public rooms in the main building was well preserved but with modern touches. Everything looked very clean and well maintained. Good buffet breakfast with everything fresh and counters promptly topped up. Very pleasant cheerful staff. Good well-kept garden and bathing area. Nice, generously sized fluffy bathrobes.

Lighter fluffier duvets would be good. Bathing area steps into the water were very slippery. There was no hot water in the bathing area changing room - could an instantaneous electric water heater be installed? A sauna would also be nice.

The property is stylish, luxurious, expansive, well maintained and includes excellent parking. The reception and restaurant staff were very courteous and efficient. The room itself was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet included an outstanding selection of savoury and sweet offerings. Coffee was great. The local environment is very quiet and feels safe, and the town of St Gilgen is quaint and beautiful. Our room had magnificent views of Wolfgangsee. Make sure that you travel up to Mount Zwölferhorn on the cable car for some spectacular views of the surrounding regions. Overall, this is a superb property that is also great value for money.

The junior suite was tremendous with a fabulous scenic panorama from the balcony. The food was exceptionally good.

No milk in the rooms had to ask for milk for coffee. The service at dinner was not in keeping with the quality of the menu. They seem to be short staffed and give priority to groups. Didn’t have a wine list! Having booked the half board option we were initially told on check in that we were not booked in for dinner and it was our 30th wedding anniversary. Once that was resolved we were later told several courses were “gifts” we ended up being charged for them. It was very confusing. This did not spoil our stay but it was a bit high maintenance and not as relaxing as we had envisaged.

The hotel provided a great range of amenities, including a well-maintained tennis court, free paddle boarding, and paddle boats, which made the stay both active and enjoyable. The lake access and the view were stunning. The villa’s historical background added charm, and the staff were friendly.

The food options were limited and didn’t quite meet expectations. I would not choose the dining experience there. There was also no service by the lake, so if you wanted a drink, you had to go to the bar and bring it down yourself.

Location perfect. Views stunning. Short walk into St. Gilgen. Easy road access to Salzburg and Salzkammergut. Breakfast buffet exceptional. Room very spacious. Hotel throughout very clean. Had a few dinners during stay and quality excellent. Most impressive thing about our stay was the service provided by Mark, who seemed to have a wide range of responsibilities but fulfilled them all with politeness and a smile. Best asset of the hotel.

Tried hard to come up with anything unliked but struggled. Perhaps corridors and room could have had some art pictures on the walls rather than being a little spartan...but that's hardly a criticism. Hotel would benefit by having a spa facility.

Amazing location, absolutely stunning views, easy to reach all the main attractions, nice and quiet area perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast with delicious coffee. The room was clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable with all the necessary conveniences and a balcony. Parking was free, easily accessible and with enough parking space.

An option of softer pillows would be nice :)

We had a fantastic stay here. Lovely room, amenities and staff. Will absolutely come back.

Unfortunately we seemed to have one of the only TVs in the hotel that didn't have netflix, etc. which considering it rained for 4.5 out of the 7 days we were there would have been nice. But we managed and enjoyed every day anyway!

This hotel was sensational! The view from the room of the lake and mountains is spectacular. It’s better than the pictures on the web site! The room is spacious and so is the bathroom with a beautiful bath!! I loved the little sitting area in the room with gorgeous couch and chair. The little terrace was perfect to sit out on to admire the view! The staff were very welcoming and so were the cleaning staff. Gave us extra pillows. Breakfast was great too!

We had to go home!
