The Schlosswirt is in my bones as I had previously stayed here over a period of 34 years (from age 1) when the previous landlords ran it, so I'm a little bit biased. However, this stay was lovely. The hotel still feels the same, has the creaky floorboards that bring back memories and the lovely little elevator. The rooms, both bedrooms and public rooms are inviting and comfortable. The new sauna/relaxation area has brought a bit of the 21st century to the hotel, and the pool that is t being built will be a great asset. All of the staff were friendly and attentive but special mentions have to go to Salomen who was a ray of sunshine in the mornings, Luca on reception who made us feel so welcome every day and Kalil who was knowledgeable about the wines and food and made our evenings pleasant. We had a room on the front of the building, so every morning we woke to a view of the Untersberg. This was a room that my 3 sisters abd I always had as children, so I felt like a 4 year old looking out of the window. However the room has been extended and a large bathroom installed which made it comfortable. The choice of foods gor breakfast was large and it was served in a relaxing atmosphere. Dinner was delicious, with choices that were different, backed up by Austrian staples such as Weinerschnitzel.

Small boutique hotel in the village Anif close to Salzburg with excellent Austrian cuisine and service. The nature pool outside and the sauna were great and totally sufficient for some physical recreation and relaxation. We had a room facing the garden, which was very quiet and comfortable to sleep in. The room had air conditioning and a mosquito net, which was very helpful during hot summer nights.

Just the reception from Saxony Germany did not yet get the one tone of Austrian hospitality – there is still some room for improvement on that side. For everything else: we had a great stay.

Absolutely gorgeous and warm. Great staff, so helpful, authentically friendly. Beautiful, cozy room with nice view. A large bathroom, just perfect. Quiet. Great bed. We dined and had exceptional food, thoughtfully prepared and presented. Breakfast was a hit. I did not like the first cup of coffee, as I had to use the machine (cannot stand them) but I asked and the kitchen prepared a pot of fresh brewed filter coffee.

The aforementioned coffee automatic. Those machines are spreading like the plague. I’m sorry but I am not alone in my opinion that these time and cost saving machines are ruining breakfasts all over the world.

Breakfast was really varied and lovely. There was a full buffet with breads, rolls, pastries, fruit, hams, cheese, smoothie, yoghurts, cereals etc, as well as off-menu dishes (included in the price) like avocado and eggs on toast etc. I particularly liked that there was fresh honeycomb from the onsite beehives. The hotel itself was adorable! There were so many lovely corners of the garden to sit, and the sauna was really beautifully finished and felt luxurious. The outdoor sun terrace was nice to sit for breakfast and at night, there was a lovely, summer evening atmosphere as it became a relaxed but sophisticated restaurant. From the garden you could also catch a glimpse of the private castle next door! The rooms were spacious and comfortable & there was an antique charm about the decor. The reception staff were very welcoming and parking was convenient right outside. Location was good. Though it was off a main road, you didn't notice this at the back of the hotel & it was a quick 10 minute bus ride into the main city of Salzburg.

The only one small thing that could be improved was the air-conditioning unit was not fixed but was portable with the ventilator tube being directed out of the window. Because this wasn't fixed and moved around, it was difficult to keep it in place and sometimes it would fall off the window ledge and blow the warm air into our room. A ceiling fan might be a better option if air conditioning units are difficult to install.

Property is s very clean and charming, staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Nice sauna, good breakfast. We also had dinner there one night, all the traditional dishes were delicious and the presentation impeccable

Would have preferred to be in the main building so we didn’t have to walk across the street. Also, being an older building, the floors were creaking in out room and the bathroom door was hard to close.

It is a very beautiful accommodation. It is an old building restored, it combines the new and the old. There is a castle near by, it is not visitable but you can see it if you walk on an alley that starts from the property. The staff is very nice. Furthermore, they are the real definition of pet-friendly.

I absolutely loved this gem of a property. We had a great stay. The staff is super nice, loved the breakfast buffet - there is a breakfast menu to choose from (eg. avocado toast, french toast etc) which will be prepared for you. It was a great deal and worth every penny. We had our own car thus it was easier to commute. There was ample parking available. Our room was facing the road side and we had a beautiful view of the mountain. It was out of a movie.

The hotel and restaurant exceeded our expectations. Check-in was quick. The size and comfort of our room was good. We quite enjoyed our meal, very delicious and a lovely setting. Our beakfast was equally delicious. Highly recommend this hotel. We will come back.

We originally booked two rooms but due to a serious health issue our travel companions were not able to come. We contacted the hotel 2 weeks prior requesting to cancel 1 room only but sadly no refund was given. We understand the cancellation policy but it certainly would have been appreciated considering we were keeping one reservation.

We loved the room it was spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids the interior design of the room and the house was very rustic and classic. The breakfast variety was excellent and was very fresh and tasty.

It would be good if hot water electric flask was provided in the room. Other than that all was good.

Excellent room, large, very nicely furnished. Comfortable bed. Excellent staff and they had an EV charger in their car park which I used.

The temperature was in the mid to high 20s when we were there, and the air conditioning was a portable unit discharging through a duct and open window. I worked but did let in some traffic noise from a nearby road.
