Charming alpine style hotel conveniently located near the heart of Salzburg in a quiet, peaceful setting. Spacious, comfortable, clean room with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Room was updated to modern amenities and efficiency housed in an old world post medieval lodge-like setting. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices in the charactaristic European style. Our dinners on two occasions were excellent in presentation, taste and quality, while the staff was professional, attentive and courteous in providing their services. We were impressed at the genuinely personal service and attention we received from the staff and from the owner himself, Mr. Rudy Unterberg and his family. This location meets the highest of standards in the hospitality industry in a charming setting full of old world character.

check in was ok, parking easy and free, location was very countryfied but quite a bit out of Salzburg. the room was large with a balcony and the rain shower amazing.

Breakfast lacked choice and was like an after thought. The furniture on the balcony looked and felt like it came from the dump. I would avoid the dinner offering in the restaurant, very plain and to be charged 3 euro for butter and 3 euro for 2 slices of dry brown bread is a joke.

Location is very beautiful and close to the city, making it convenient if you are traveling by car. The hotel has a nice traditional atmosphere. Our room had a balcony with a mountain view, and the staff was very helpful.

Lack of amenities and equipment in the room, such as coffee, tea, water, a fridge, slippers, etc. Our room's balcony had a nice but limited angle view; we couldn't enjoy a wide exposure of the scenery.

what a fantastic place !! we travelled with family (4 rooms) and all had a great experience at Mostwastl. The rooms are nice, bathrooms are large & clean, beds are comfortable but most of all the service was outstanding - with super-friendly staff throughout, The breakfast was delicious and we also had 2 lovely dinners with authentic Austrian food in their charming outdoor-terrace, under the big tree. Try their homemade "Most", it's some kind of Austrian Apple-cider. The place is located just oudside Salzburg (5 minutes by car) in a beautiful country-side setting. We were travelling with 7 people and all of us were 100% happy :)

We loved the location, the view was great, the staff was so nice and helpful, and there was a free bus ticket and free parking if you drove. It was almost perfect.

Breakfast could use some more choices, like fried eggs or an omelet. And we asked for a double bed, but it was just two singles pushed together.

A really charming place to stay. Comfty, clean well equipped rooms, pleanty of info-flyers about the region at the check-in desk. The staff is really kind, the food is great. One must try the self brewed cider, and apple juice. Excellent location, really good beergarden.

The pillows were kind of flat and soft for us, but we always bring our own travel pillows, so it was not a big problem either.

Everything was renovated and clean. The balcony and view were incredible. The staff was super friendly, especially since we do not speak German. The cakes and pastries were amazing. I liked that breakfast was included. The beds were comfy, and the shower was big. We added this stop to our Europe trip to relax before going to visit our family in Italy. It was truly a great experience. It was peaceful. There is a bus stop nearby, number 5 that goes directly to town for 3.10 euros. It took about 15 minutes, which was convenient.

We are usually not picky, but the pillows were a bit too soft, making it a tad uncomfortable, but this was honestly the best b&b we have stayed at, and we travel a lot. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

The staff were very friendly at check in. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. We ate dinner there as well and it was fantastic. Breakfast was also good. Location is easy to get to but not right downtown of course.

The room was warm so we had to leave the patio door open to bring the temperature down, resulting in a few mosquito bites.

Lovely quiet location on the edge Salzburg, just a 15min/24 euro taxi from the airport. Modern clean bedroom and excellent bathroom ( shower only). Very good continental breakfast. Used as a one night stay, after a late flight arrival, and heading off by train to the Alps the following morning by train.

Salzburg airport is close by but only heard a couple of planes and we are early risers! Food and service very good. Room spacious comfortable and very clean. Large balcony was a bonus.
