The location was beautiful, based at the bottom of a sheer mountain cliff. The grounds, which included an open "biergarten" were of fairy tale lore. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, provided a Salzburg transportation pass, and when they found out we hadn't obtained an Austrian vignette for driving on the highways with a German based rental car, went to a local vendor and purchased it for us, to avoid us getting a ticket. This small family operated business had world class meals and received their notice that they had a restaurant guru site Gold Star rating for their restaurant. Locals as well as travelers enjoyed the biergarten nightly. We wished we could have stayed longer than the three nights

One of the two rooms had bath with tub/shower combination, but no shower curtain. That was the only thing that could be commented on. All else was exceptional.

Good location, good parking garden terras, and very hard working people. They try to run this hotel on their best as a family hotel. Honestly if you ask something they arrange it. Very good beds. Good shower and temperature of the water. Good for coming back next time

Rooms are outdated, everything works that’s it WiFi good but 2 channels. Guys you can change this with your brand. The number I gave was high because I see the owners are willing to drive this hotel. But a lot of small things has to be renewed. So therefore the price is some to high in level with it. Please go for it

Amazing location just outside the city. On the end of a bus route that ran every 30 min. Parked the car for free. Hotel provided free bus tickest for the stay. Easy to get downtown. Breakfast and dinner were great. We also used this location to visit Berchtesgadener and eagels nest. 30 min away. Staff were very helpful. Beer was great.

The hotel had no control over the weather. We were there during a heat dome and the temps were 94 f which made for warm nights until the early morning when the temps dropped into the 70s. Again no reflection on the hotel.

It was clean, comfy, with very good breakfast and kind employees and amazing location - view at the mountains, good starting point for the Königsee, and also the bus to Salzburg is right in front of the gasthof. Also the restaurant is very good. The room and also whole building is beautifully furnished and decorated.

The bathroom (shower and washbasin) is part of the room separated only by a curtain, which was unexpected, but we didn't mind it at all. The toilet is standalone, separated by a wall and door.

Location is peaceful, has parking, easy access to the city center by bus about 30 min. Charming environment and building, spacious room and overall a great place to stay to visit Salzburg. Room also stayed cool even though it was hot outside.

Might have been an oversight on the cleaning but some linen was not folded, water bottle half filled and small lid on the floor. Can hear hallway and outside so earplugs are recommended if you're sensitive to noise.

It was a Gasthaus in the beautiful countryside with an alpine backdrop. The bus into town was right across the street and took less than 30 minutes. The room was comfortable, rustic and traditional alpine. We liked the alpine experience. The restaurant at the Gasthaus had exceptional food. The portions were hearty and the taste was scrumptious. The proprietors were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We would certainly return here.

The only thing that was that there were only a few outlets to charge phones. Yet, this was understandable due to the age of the building.

Nice hotel with nice rooms, swift check in and check out, clean and with good breakfast. Helpful staff.

We didn't know beforehand that on the day of arrival the hotel had 'ruhetag'/restingday, which meant we didn't see anyone at check-in (but keys were ready for us at the counter and that went smoothly), but we couldn't have dinner in the restaurant that evening (we had a long drive that day and had counted on it), so we had to look elsewhere. We had to take the car, since the hotel was not in a very central location regarding restaurant-options. We managed, of course, and we understand the wish of having a day off, but it would have been nice to know before arriving. Everything else was fine.

Everything was perfect for our stay at this location. The family running the gasthaus where just perfect and we had so much fun talking with them. The breakfast was excellent and the dinners that we purchased at the location where fantastic. The entire stay was super. The unit is right across from the bus stop so it was an easy trip into the old city of Salzburg. Great for going to the markets, sightseeing and just walking around. Easy to find. We could not have chosen a better place.

The setting was like out of a fairy tale, at the base of a mountain with a little creek that run past that could be heard at night with the windows open. We were greeted immediately by the owner and the staff was so nice. The food was excellent both in the Biergarten style outdoor restaurant(there was an inside dining area and bar as well) as well as at breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. This hotel was easily our favorite place we stayed at during our 2 week vacation of Austria and Germany! Given the chance to visit the area again, we would definitely stay here again!

The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that we couldn’t stay longer!

Traditional Austrian inn with a pub, very good restaurant, breakfast, and lodging in a very peaceful location. Very kind and helpful proprietors. Accessible by bus. At the intersection of two swift creeks which create amazing "music" during storms/high flows that lulls you to sleep if you leave your window open a crack. Just so cozy: we didn't want to go anywhere else.

There is nothing we did not like but some guests may want to be aware that 1) the lodging is on the 2nd and 3rd floors which are accessible only by stairs, 2) there is an intentional wifi void in the pub and restaurant so that people will engage with other humans.
