Traditional Bahraini 🇧🇭 hotel , great location close to exhibition avenue, Gosi Mall, Hoora Police, Al Salam Bank, all traditional restaurants ( affordable prices and big portions) and shoppers. Receptionists very friendly and professional. GM is a very gentleman, I was happy to meet him in person.

I came in the night , when i got to the room, i found a dirty nightstand and the bathroom was not cleaned properly. i had to talk to the cleaning staff the next day to ask them to clean it properly.

Great location for my purposes, midway between central Manama (souks area) and the historic area of Muharraq. Large room with sitting area, windows which opened for ventilation. a nice outdoor enclosed porch, very efficient elevators, helpful staff and the best shower I've had in a hotel in a long time, combining good hot water availability, great water pressure and a non-slip floor. Yes, these features should be standard in most hotels everywhere but sadly they are not, especially at the lower end of the price spectrum.

The breakfast options were Arabic, American, English and maybe others but I stuck to the first and third over the week I stayed. Hamid was always there waiting so there was no delay in ordering. The cost (AUD$14) was very reasonable for such a large variety and amount of food. The lifts to the room were always available and as I was on the 9th floor, there was no noise from the ground floor disco. Wifi was robust and quick. The hotel was conveniently located for walking to the National Museum and Little India as well as catching buses to the airport or even further out such as Madinat Hamad to see the Karzakkan burial mounds. I noticed one reviewer said that it was not possible to walk to the National Museum from the hotel but this is not true - there is a pedestrian bridge over the freeway a little south of the hotel so it only took me 25 minutes. You could also walk over that bridge to the Al Fateh Grand Mosque in 40 minutes from the hotel. If you don't like walking like I do, then maybe you don't see the convenience of the location like I do.

The TV only had BBC World News but it did have YouTube to catch up on other things.

Breakfast was made to order and good quality.

Comfortable room and bed. The hotel facilities are modern and everything is arranged in good style and taste. The receptionists were welcoming and helpful, so were the other employees and waiters at the restaurant. I added breakfast to my reservation and it was tasty and great value for money. I will definitely stay at Meshal again when I come back to Bahrain.

This hotel really exceeded my expectations. I was quite skeptical due to the lower rating. However, the reception staff was very kind and welcoming and allowed me to check-in a bit earlier as my room was ready anyway. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Wi-fi was great, TV worked great. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel and I'll be back again. It's in a great location and close to a lot of good food places and I walked to the souq from there, so I recommend it.

Clean and spacious room. Very close to the airport and shopping malls. We stayed at 7th floor and we didnt hear the club noise. So we had a quiet and comfortable stay.

Some staff are friendly, some are not. The room smelled like cigarette smoke but all rooms are like that anyway so prepare and bring some air freshener with you that you prefer. They only provide 1 set of towel even though we are 2 adults and baby so we had to ask for another set.

- The hotel was excellent, the room was very big, but the bathroom was small. - They allowed me very early check in without even mentioing that they are doing something special for me.

- Water in the swimming pool was very green and it is probably always cold since it is behind a high wall (no sun). - The hotel has a sauna, but some receptionists don't even know what a sauna is, because when you talk about sauna, they think that you mean jacuzzi :) - The sauna is mostly switched off. I asked them twice to prepare the sauna (make it hot), but when I got there, the sauna was still switched off and cold. So I switched it on by myself and waited in the jacuzzi until it was ready.

Location and cleanliness. Central to everything.

We were a family of 5 and we had the quadruple room. Room was nice. The only thing was that it only had one bathroom for 5 of us. Apparently they have no rooms with more than one bathroom. Staff were nice but felt they were limited to what they can do to help us. Breakfast was nice with a large variety to choose from

Hotel stuff was nice and mostly helpful (needed to borrow electrical socket adapter). Room was large, comfortable and clean, so was the bathroom. Wifi worked great. Public transport in Bahrain is pretty good, and it is possible to get few hundred meters from the hotel by bus.

There are loud parties happening in the hotel even late at night. Thankfully I was on a floor far away from them and could barely hear them in the room, but it might be an issue in rooms closer to the source.
